There is cherry, strawberry, chocolate, origional, large and small.
I’ve sent these cheesecakes to family in the south and upstate, and they rave about the flavor and quality!
Never go to a function without an S&S cheaecake!

if you ever had the chance to come all the way up to kingsbridge to try out this cheesecake you would know that my caps statement is very true. now with future or do allow me to break this cheesecake down to a tee for you.

the appearance is very deceiving and almost unrecognizable walking to find it if you never been to this area. even to get into this door you much ring the door bell and be buzzed in from the inside from one of the workers. there is no door knob to even open the door but hey once when your buzzed in your in for a surprise!

so when you managed to get inside the wonderful cheesecake castle (as i would call it) you will see a counter where you can order one of these cakes roughly $ 14(for a small size) and 17 $(for a large size).they have flavors ranging from strawberry, pineapple, chocolate drizzle, and a good ol plain regular one.

Simply the best cheesecake anywhere. Perfect amount of sweetness. Light, fluffy, real ingredients. Did I say it’s the best?

This cheesecake is amazing like I could eat it everyday i would recommend it to everyone. The only thing that offset me was the place actually looks like a factory as I always thought it was a bakery oh and cash only for those interested

S&S is a Bronx classic which is in my opinion the top 3 cheesecake in NY. There cheese cake is freshly made and always very very soft. There crust is fantastic and differs from Juniors but in a good way. I’ve tried classic pineapple and strawberry and all were amazing. The cake itself is creamy and rich in flavor where it’s almost impossible to just have a slice. The prices are also much cheaper then other places like juniors and the Cheesecake Factory.

The world’s finest New York Cheesecake. And bear in mind that retail sales are a small percentage of their business; most of their cakes are sold to restaurants and that includes some of the finest places in the city. Why? Nobody makes a better Cheesecake. Nobody.

Ordered three cheesecakes– plain, chocolate, and plain with raspberry.
Owner was very friendly and had some humor.
$ 15 per each 7 inch cake… my total was $ 49, with tax?!
Chocolate cake had some alcohol Flavor, not what I expect but it works, rather delicious and still creamy.
They only sell cakes by the pie, and no seatings since it is a baking facility and they do many shipping.

I would love it if they expanded with savory pies too.

I now understand why the Golden Girls would eat all that cheesecake day in and day out — they must have had it delivered from S&S.
I was initially drawn to this place by Unilocal,but I quickly learned that this is a pretty famous place in its own right. S&S does one thing and one thing right: cheesecake. They have a few flavors available in two different sizes — that’s it. Honestly, that’s all you need — this place is no frills in the best way.
The bakery doesn’t have a storefront, it’s just their kitchen (kinda looks like a hole in the wall). You ring the buzzer and are let in where there’s a small table and a cooler showing the different cheesecakes they have.
I went simple and got a small plain cheesecake. Honestly, so good; it was fluffy and creamy without being too rich — truly the quintessential slice of cheesecake. Believe the other reviews — this place deserves the praise it gets.
I never knew this place existed but I’m glad I discovered it. Everyone better watch out — every party I go to I’ll be bringing a cheesecake to spread the love. ;-)

Simply amazing. the creaminess, the flavor, the richness… ugh. too good.
I’ve only tried the plain original a few times, which are amazing so i hope to try the other flavors too.
I got to the shop around 8am and it looks like a dark warehouse with a shut door. Just ring the bell and once they buzz you in just walk in and tell them what you want. It kinda looks like someone your parents would not want you walking alone because it has a feeling that you might get kidnapped and thrown into the huge walk in freezer amidst the boxes. But, i would not mind this at all… because they have LOADS of cheesecake in there. The guy was super nice though.
TIPS:
Hours are 6am to 3pm! so go early in the morning!
Also, if you are buying directly from the shop, BRING CASH!!! cash only (there is a bank of america 1 block away and Chase about 7 blocks away)
PRice is also a lot cheaper in person vs buying online. For the plain original, a small is 15 and large is 27 dollars. So if you plan to buy in person, you should call ahead to confirm the price there (then bring cash).

S&S cheesecake is simply SUPERB! Creamy & not overly sweet. Sold out of the factory by such a sweet elderly man.
If you’re looking to buy cheesecake after 3pm you can always buy some at the bodega nearby.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

So I was surprised with a whole pie of this delicious cheesecake today on National Cheesecake Day, by my boyfriend! I’ve been craving cheesecake for so long and was already planning a trip to my local Cheesecake Factory. Thank God he Google’d where to find the best cheesecake because S&S definitely «takes the cake»! Lol! Smooth and creamy, the crust is light and tasty… can’t eat enough! Great find on the perfect day!

Delicious, and certainly on the best-​of-​NYC list. BUT, not as good as Land and Sea’s cheesecake. I’m serious.

This cheesecake is the real deal! Worth the trip! Soooo delicious and perfectly baked on top too!!! Not too sweet and the consistency is impeccable!!!

S & S does not stand for:
Sensual & Sinful (although that would be appropriate).
Sadism & Sex (although that would be fun).
Spit & Swallow (which are not mutually exclusive).
Snatch & Stick (although that would be hilarious).
What it does stand for is Scrumptious & Spectacular Cheesecake. It’s the best Cheesecake, not only in NYC, but probably in the USA. Eli’s in Chicago is good, yes. But S & S stakes its claim for being the very best. You’ll have to come here and find out for yourself.
What to get: A slice of regular Cheesecake.
If you order it by the slice, it’s not too expensive. If they’re closed (which they often are), then go to Van Cortlandt Grocery just 5 stores to the West on the same side of the street, and they sell S & S slices and whole cakes there for similar prices with much more extended hours.
You have to come… ahem, sorry, had to clear my throat. You have to come and try this Cheesecake. It’s worth making a pilgrimage out to the Bronx for (along with Gyro King, Greek Express, Duck-​a-​genie Burek, El Atoradero for Mexican, and Louie & Ernie’s Pizza).
You’ll be glad that you, er, came. It’s so smooth and silky and sinful. Heavy and filling and yet dreamy and swirly and orgasmic. It’s typical NY-​style Cheesecake but it’s NY-​style perfected.
Easily the best Cheesecake in the Big Apple, and it’s right up there with Sensual & Sinful, Sadism & Sex, Spit & Swallow, and Snatch & Stick on the list of «the best things named S & S in human history.»

what a gem! I happened to be in the area and a bind to obtain a delicious «thank you» dessert for work event. lord had mercy and led me here!!!
I walked by around 7:30am and I missed it because it looks like an abandoned warehouse. When I finally located the door it looked like it was closed and nobody was inside. NOOO! My desperation led to me ringing the doorbell and they unlocked the door and the cute old owner appeared like the angel he is. I ended up getting the plain cheesecake per his recommendation. That cake is dense and pure cream and perfection. everyone who tried a slice was in love. Definitely by far one of the best cheesecakes I have had and reasonably priced too!

The flavor and quality are well worth the trip on the 1 train (238^th St. Station). In case you miss it (they have oddball hours and are rightfully strict with their holidays), Vargas carry their sweet goodness — 2 doors to the left.
In my opinion… they surely beat Junior’s. If you’re into that, you can also take a minute to wander around Kingsbridge and admire the beauty of this diverse community.

I grew up in NYC, always had S&S, nothing else even comes close. There are more famous «New York cheesecake» companies with national exposure but S&S is the real deal.
We always had fresh but now we ship it to our new location in Florida. S&S is our only choice for sending a friend a Christmas package or to celebrate a very special occasion. They are shipped frozen overnight.
Their location is non-​descript, it even looks abandoned, you can buy it next door in a small grocery store.
They must have a huge wholesale business because they’ve been in business for years, even decades.

Remember if you go to S. S cheesecake, like physically go, you must bring cash.
