Carvel Bakery Ice Cream

This was my old ice cream spot for a while… Still have quality, good ice cream… Will be returning at some point… Too bad they close at 10… Usually I have my ice cream cravings after midnight… Lol

After my original Carvel spot on Riverdale avenue and 260^th closed down YEARS ago, this was the only Carvel for miles. It’s in an unassuming little lot next to a police frequented bar… so…it’s safe?

I STILL remember that theme song and was thrilled to see Youtube had it up! That was, oddly enough, the theme song I always remembered as representing Carvel.
So all the Carvel’s are basically the same — except for that now closed down Carvel Inn (read:Ice Cream factory!) in Yonkers, NY where we took the BEST class trip!!! — and except for this location’s odd location, there’s really not much difference. But it’s good that it’s located next to a train station, a bus stop, a Loehmann’s, and a McDonald’s. Same delicious shakes and same delicious soft-​serve Ice cream you’ve come to love. Staff is friendly, responsive, and can make a mean milkshake that’s a good value for it’s size and deliciousness.
I remember many times being taken out to Carvel after doing something right — a report card, a baseball game win… I still feel on top of the world when I’m snacking on some good ol’ Carvel.
