Rite Aid

Pitiful, inefficient customer service… especially with the pharmacy. Whether at the cash register or picking up from the pharmacy, there always seems to be a painfully long line at all times of the day. This would make sense if the place ever seemed understaffed. But on the contrary, there are always employees everywhere, who just stand around. Or, particularly with the pharmacists, it’s a team effort of 4 people to take care of a simple, standard prescription. And anytime they give you an eta for when it should be ready, add at least and hour and a half to that.

although it says pharmacy open 24 hrs, the pharmacy portion of the pharmacy (funny right?) closes at 9pm. So what’s the point? I chose this pharmacy because I thought it would be more convenient which it obviously isn’t. They need to focus on being a pharmacy first and a convenience store second.

Worst pharmacy ever. I am surprised my medication isn’t expired by the time I actually get through the line. Half the time the cashier doesn’t know what she is doing. Two thumbs down to this pharmacy. Getting medication is ridiculous here… Unfortunately it’s the only convenient place ever.
The lines not only suck at the pharmacy but in the front too. I can hardly find anyone that works the floor…
WORST RITE AID EVER!

I really despise this rite aid. I do have to admit the lines have somewhat improved but overall it’s a badly run rite aid and the pharmacy is no better. I have had doctors call in medications and went to rite aid and they never filled it or received it. You’ll love this even more: I’ve dropped off rx’s and never got a call when I was supposed to pick up. I even went once to pick up because I called and scheduled a refill pick up and showed up to nothing but an «alternative» that gave me side effects. I honestly wish this rite aid were replaced with some other store that’s capable of doing their job. And please don’t ask the manager for a product because they will tell you they don’t carry it and won’t order it because they don’t order they only receive what corporate sends them! Uh huh. And if you call them and say a customer is requesting it they will send it but they won’t listen. It’s really annoying to live right here and have to deal with this nonsense.

The renovation to this location being 24 hours and having brighter lights and lower aisles has helped significantly. The location is wheelchair accessible although the counters still come up to about my waist and I’m 6feet tall, so a bit high for folks using chairs.
The pharmacy staff are professional, and it seems when they renovated they also retrained or added additional professional staff. Although there are long lines at times, adding more staff has helped with this. They all greet you, know how to do returns, and are pleasant.

I know no one really likes drug stores in nyc because everyone tends to be rude but the employees here are super nice and very friendly. The place was renovated and looks very pretty. Awesome sales on stuff you actually use unlike other drug stores. Bonus: it has a parking lot and it’s opened 24 hours, what what?! Love this place.
