Metro Optics Eyewear

This is a great place! I went there today hoping for a miracle and that’s exactly what I got. From the minute I walked in everyone was attentive and overly helpful. Toni came to assist me, she was extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely top notch customer service. I was getting glasses for my 6 year old son, she showed me all the glasses for his size and then sat down with us for him to try them all on and decide. We got what we needed and were out in less then a half hour. Just a side note– I was coming from another eyeglass place that the people that worked there didn’t even get up to help me. Me and my son walked right out… it’s all about great customer service. Thanks again Toni!!!

So, I went here to get my vision tested and possibly purchase frames and a lense. WHICH MY INSURANCE COVERS. I got my vision tested and the staff directed me to the frames. I told the sales rep that I had frames in mind that I was probably going to purchase else where but of course she wanted to show me their selection and mentioned that I won’t know if the frames are real if I purchase them elsewhere. So I’m looking and a lady comes to me and says not to spend time here looking if I’m going to buy my frames somewhere else and that someone else did that and she refused to allow them to get their lenses from metro optics. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, INSULTING AND INAPPROPRIATE. I believe she was the manager at that. Im sure they don’t say that to every customer and even if she felt that way YOU DO NOT SAY IT TO A CUSTOMER. And the sad part is she said that when I already decided on purchasing my frames from her store! Disgusting way to treat a customer. However the woman helping me did apologize for her coworkers ignorance

I love coming to this place! I got one pair of glasses from here and they are so nice, I get compliments on them everyday and I love the customer service I get every time I go in. I recently went for a visit for contact information they were patient with me, listened to my worries and reassured me that they’ll find the best lens for me, the decorations make me feel comfortable and their friendliness drives me :) they make sure my time is spent well and they keep me up to date with my appointments and new glasses. Love it.

They are so nice, so helpful and so efficient with their services! The first time I came to Metro I had to transfer records and order contacts. The eye doctor I visited in Brooklyn wrote an incomplete prescription for me and I was almost unable to get my needed eyewear. The receptionist was so helpful confirming my visit with the former eye doctor. She made sure that all the information was correct. I was so impressed with her involvement, kindness and knowledge. A week later i left my contact case in Queens at my mother’s. I went to purchase a case… they gave me a complimentary case with contact solution… no questions asked. I love this place. I recommend them to anyone.

Great spot, awesome staff. The eye doctors are very informative and well trained. They offer a good selection and the space is very roomy.

First off, I bought my glasses from Lenscrafter at Manhattan Mall a few years ago. The lens from my glasses frame popped out, because grooves on the screw that was holding the frame together was worn out.
I brought the glasses to Metro Optics for repair since it’s nearby. I was asked to sign a waiver that the glasses may be broken while a repairman attempts to fix it. I waited 5 minutes, and my glasses were repaired free if charge.
I’m a fan and I will definitely return here for my next pair of glasses!

The Throggs Neck location is wonderful. Plenty of free parking right in front. Dr Carr is a talented and professional Dr. She diagnosed my problem and called the pharmacy to make sure script was available and waiting for me. I live out of the area and she made sure to give me a full report to give my Dr. Plenty of glasses to choose from. I bought a pair of designer frames with the assistance of their staff. When I went to my regular Dr I was Shocked to see the same frame for $ 150 more! Next time I’m back in town I will be stopping by to choose another pair of glasses. Great addition to neighborhood. Great selection of frames. Didn’t feel rushed and staff were very polite and energetic. Definitely recommend this Optics. There’s also parking available!
