Original NYC Pizza, you can hardly find places like this anymore. Great sauce and fresh mozzarella in a good size slice. The chicken parmesan is very good, you can get a hero or a platter. The Bronx bomber hero is the bomb. The pick up service is always on point. I love this pizzeria.

Tried this place cause I was craving a slice and they have 5 stars, granted 8 reviews but still. I really love my pizza, a nice tangy garlicky gooey mozzarella and of course a tasty crust (I love eating the crust)! This was none of the above! Tasteless sauce and cheese that had no weight to it, the crust is doughy and bland as well :(first and last visit. The guys were nice and the place was clean, that’s about it.

Delicious and Delightful from the very beginning til the last bite in the end. If u have tge number call ahead and ur pie will be ready when u get there. I’ve only tried 3 things from here: shrimp parm on a wedge, pepperoni pizza, and regular cheese pizza. And those are my favorites! :-) the owner is a sold out Giants gan who loves to eat and is super friendly. He’s pretty darn awesome!!! Parking in this area is a hot mess. Com

25 years later and seriously still the best pizza I have ever enjoyed. When I moved to Florida almost 25 years ago I could never find anything even close. I finally made it back yesterday for the first time and so glad I did. I was just a little girl when my dad would bring home pizza every Friday. I’m so glad I was able to take my family today. My husband really enjoyed it too! The slices are HUGE. 2 drinks and 2 slices for less than $ 10.

Came to the Bronx due to the notoriety of the pizza
there, was with friends and we’re all from different states, and we meet up in New York every year. On our last day we decided to get some cheap pizza for lunch.
Not bad price but the sauce is completely bland and almost flavorless. The grease honestly made up for the lack of flavor in the sauce. I understand when you’re dishing out 500 slices of pizza some days that your quality is going to be compromised, but that’s something they should improve on with the recipe.
$ 2.75 a slice for a very generous sized cut.
A couple tables are inside if you want to eat in but dont bring a big party of people if you’re expecting to be comfortable. Take out might be your thing in that case.
If you’re a local Im sure you’re in love with this place for the nostalgia factor but from an outsiders point of view, it’s just average.

hands down one of the best pizzeria in all of New York City. I have been coming here since I was a little girl and even when my family moved to South Bronx I would make the trip all the way back uptown for a slice of pizza. a lot of things may have changed on dyer ave but marios is still the same… except slice price raising every now and again but those slices are big as hell. if they ever close I think I might stop eating pizza. its that serious to me.

My family and I have been going to Mario’s since forever and it’s still the very best. My fave is his Shrimp and Cheese rolls omg I wish they were a little bigger because I can never finish two but I’m always still hungry after one lol

I love this pizzeria, I think I love it so much that they already know its me when I call! Their chicken, tomato, onion slice is amazing and I always get there shrimp and cheese patty or empanada! The guys are friendly and pizza is fresh and delicious! To me they beat the Morris Park pizzerias!

I have been many, many, many places for pizza… and I always come back to Mario’s! THe crust, the sauce, the cheese is beyond great! My personal favorite is the fresh mushroom pizza with tons of fresh moist mushrooms atop their famous HUGE SLICE of cheese pizza.
They will make whatever you want… with a huge smile! You have not lived until you have had MARIO’S PIZZA!

The BEST pizza in the area. I work by this place and nothing comes close. Slices are huge and delicious. The specialty slices like the Buffalo Chicken slice and Chicken Bacon Ranch are amazing. It’s not the cheapest but one specialty slice is all you need for lunch. You will not be disappointed.
