I really don’t understand why these reviews are how they are… I discovered Great Wall a few months ago and honestly it’s some of the best Chinese food I have ever had! I ordered the general Sao spicy chicken combo with an egg role to go and it came within 25 minutes which was awesome! And the price was very reasonable!

So I placed an order thru Seamless and when the delivery guy called me, all I could hear over the phone was him honking his horn; he hung up and called again and still would not talk. Then I hear my door bell, I buzz him in and he never comes up, when I call him back he says to me «I deliver to the sidewalk, not to your fuck! ng room». Needless to say I called Seamless and they reached out to the restaurant and they said if I wanted my food I had to go pick it up at the restaurant cause they weren’t coming back. When did it become ok for an employee to speak like that to a customer? Specially when I did not provoke that type of answer. Never EVER ordering from this place again.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. This food sucked omg. I got sesame chicken and it was so soggy and flavor less. It took forever to come .This was horrible I don’t know how they are still in business.

ordered general tso chicken, chicken and broccoli, and chicken lo mein. After waiting an hour for delivery we opened the food and everything tasted and smelled fishy, it was disgusting. Called them and told them the problem, the woman on the phone was less than pleasant telling us everything is fresh and that they’re not even busy(if you’re not busy why is it an hour for delivery?). We declined new food and opted to have them pick up the previously delivered food to get a refund. They obviously cross contaminated somewhere weather it was in storage, prep, or when they were cooking. I guess my hunt continues for good chinese in the bronx continues.

Very solid take out place. The food is tasty and delivery is fast. Our food arrived piping hot and I passed by the store and saw that they currently have an A rating. Will definitely order from this place again. Steamed dumplings are good, as is the moo shu.

I’ve been ordering for from this restaurant for awhile. I’ve notice there’s great improvement in taste lately. esp. Chicken Broccoli and Sesemi Chicken. Their white rice is great too, order as combo.

I had crab rangoon and wanton soup and neither were very good, I wouldn’t order either here again.

Great Wall is THE go-to place for my family when we’re all too tired to cook something up ourselves. We’ve been ordering from this place for years, so they pretty much know who we are and even managed to get the delivery man to finally smile back. For the price, I say the food is pretty great. I love their chicken wings, sweet and sour chicken, and singapore chow mei fun. And I’m pretty much addicted to the broccolli with garlic sauce. Also, once you kind of form a relationship with them, they get extra friendly. Sometimes, they give us an extra can of soda, we even got a 2 liter for free!(Not that I fancy soda, but it was a nice gesture.) Great Wall all the way.

I ordered three different vegetable dishes and still managed to find CHICKEN in my vegetable lo mein. I would be more understanding, because mistakes happen, BUT if I was allergic to it I would not be very happy. I’m just glad it wasn’t scallops or pork otherwise I’d be one itchy and angry SOB.

I’m giving 2 stars because I’ve ordered from them previously via and it was okay but today I ordered bean curd Szechuan style with egg drop soup and wonton in hot sesame oil. Disgusting. The bean curd dish was just bland, not seasoning, not even spicy, and just greasy. The sauce for the wonton was way too greasy too, as if they had no chilie oil and just used vegetable oil. The egg drop soup was horrible. It was nothing but an eggy, gloppy, over cornstarched pint of snot with no flavor was so ever. What a disappointing lunch.

This is the best Chinese food in the neighborhood– you really can’t go wrong here. Here’s what I suggest: for apps get the chicken dumplings(first place I’ve ever heard of having chicken dumplings and they are amazing!), crab rangoons(so good!!), or the egg or spring rolls(both great options). For lunch/dinner, here are my tried and true go-to’s: garlic chicken, chicken and broccoli, sesame chicken, or, my personal favorite, sweet and sour chicken. The only thing I wouldn’t suggest is the lo-mein — STEERCLEAR! Otherwise, solid Chinese food!
