I love that it’s a three in one restaurant; Mexican, Japanese, and Chinese The soft shell bean taco is good and cheap. The sushi is FRESH. Not a bad deal for the 3 piece California roll for $ 11 – 12. Bad part everything else is overpriced, especially the Chinese food. FYI, their bubble tea isn’t the real deal. It’s powder made. It’s not suppose to be powder made. Hit up a Chinatown or flushing spot to get the real. They charge for delivery and in tip as well Over all everything else is good. I’d go back to the sushi any day.

I’ve ordered from here multiple times expecting change and nope. The burritos are terrible. They throw everything in a tortilla, fold it in half and throw it in foil. They don’t even wrap it properly. When you open the foil everything opens up and falls out. How are you supposed to eat a burrito that’s not wrapped! The guacamole doesn’t even look or taste real. The Mexican food is a disappointment.

This place is neither great nor is it horrible. They serve up these humongous burritos which I probably shouldnt be eating all of. THey stuff them so full of ingredients it doesnt even close properly. Its probably the caloric intake of one day. That in itself lends itself a 3 star. Also the fact that I haven’t gotten sick yet(although I have yet to try their sushi or chinese food weirdly)

I must say that most people think its odd that the same take out place serves Chinese, Japanese, and Tex-Mex but that is really a good thing. Fresh Tortillas offers all your favorite comfort take out foods in one stop shopping at really decent prices. The place kept clean, and the service is quick. The food tastes good. Its a good spot for quick eats. You can dine in — no wait service — but its truly a take out place. They only accept cash though!

This is my favorite takeout restaurant! Nothing beats the price and quality of Fresh Tortillas. Delivery speed is ok. Got most of my friends to order from here and they all agree that it’s great. Love that they have bubble tea!

From the outside, Fresh Tortillas seems a little off-putting — a restaurant that serves Chinese, Japanese, AND Mexican food? Something’s gotta give — and maybe it does I’m not sure. I’ve only eaten Fresh Tortillas’ Mexican offerings and for what it is, it’s quite good. I usually get their chicken taco which is quite good for take-out. The portions are generous and pretty tasty. Their chips are good too — more on the homemade side, not just Tostito’s in out of the bag. Their nachos are pretty good as well, nothing fancy but tasty. Judging from other Unilocal reviews their Asian food leaves something to be desired, but I’ve stuck with their Mexican food and have had no complaints. For take-out you can’t ask for much more!

I should’ve followed my instinct that this japanese, tex mex whatever restaurant can’t be good. First of all, their food is expensive. I can find better places in manhattan that charges less but has really good food. We tried this one since we’re tired of chinese food and we really want something else. The portions are really small. They put my quesadilla in a plate! A plate that’s folded in half! With the price they charge they can’t even buy some disposable containers??! Everything was so small and little that I was wondering are they samples or what. I’m never gonna order from them again. Waste of hard earned money!

I think you will be very satisfied here if you set your expectations properly. Fresh Tortilla gives you a wide variety of food very fast for pretty cheap. We visited here the first time and got a sushi box, three quesadillas, and pork fried rice within ten minutes. A little greasy, but definitely tasty.

Not bad for a place that had Chinese, Japanese, and Mexican! But not cheap either. $ 12 for a dragon roll! It was a decent roll, but not worth the money.

My favorite lunch spot… take out or delivery. They cook Japanese, Chinese and Mexician… very diverse and well rounded menu. I’ve been eating here for the past 5 years and the food is getting highly overpriced… especially for takeout. They tax and tip everything… still love the food but dispute the prices…

I’ve always kind of chuckled at those«combination» restaurants you see all over the place down here. It’s one of those things where you’re like, «oh this is a bad idea. Mexican/Japanese? Gross.» But why? Why is that a bad idea? I can cook Mexican food. It won’t be authentic, but you’d like it. And I can cook Japanese food. Again, it’s not like I’m Japanese, but that doesn’t mean I can’t prepare the food. Are you saying I’m not to be trusted because I can cook both these things? Why? Why don’t you trust me??? So when my boyfriend and I couldn’t agree on what to eat and we saw Fresh Tortilla online, we decided to show some trust and give it a try. Glad we did! Everything was tasty and came at a reasonable price. He got his sushi, I got my quesadilla, and all was well with the world.

Just ordered delivery!! loved it! Only took 30 min on Super Bowl Sunday… During the game! Typical Mexican food. Good burritos, also ordered the California rolls… Which were great! Cool alternative to the typical food available for delivery here in the Bronx.

Japanese, sushi, Mexican, Chinese, and schwarma too? You’d think that with so many options nothing would be stellar, but it’s all great! We live down the street and order from Fresh Tortillas for dinner at least once a week. The mexican is phenomenal(our favorites are the quesadilla gigante and the tostada salads) and they make all their own shells and tortillas. They’ll even sell you just taco shells if you’re hosting a party and making your own tacos. The food is all very fresh, the chicken juicy and the veggies crisp. The shells and nachos are greasy in the best kind of way. The Chinese food is also the best we’ve had in the area. My favorite is the sesame chicken and my husband loves the General Tsao’s. Everything else that we’ve tried on the menu has been great. The sushi is basic, but fresh and tasty. It’s not the place to go if you’re looking for gourmet and creative sushi, but it’s great weeknight sushi, and you’ll never get sick from it. The prices can’t be beat, and they do take credit cards over the phone if you ask. Delivery is super quick– our food usually arrives at our door 20 minutes after we’ve ordered, and never later than 30 minutes. The delivery guys always come up the elevator to our apartment door. This place is our favorite!

Did I eat at the same place as these other folks raving about this spot? I was in the mood for some sushi so decided to try«Fresh Tortilla.» First off, Japanese, Chinese and Mexican food? That’s a ticket to sit on the toilet all night long. Pepto Bismal bruh. Anyway, I waited a good 15 minutes for 2 rolls to go. For the $ 13 I paid for a Boston Roll and Shrimp Tempura, I expected A LOT better sushi than what I came home with. The sushi did NOT taste fresh. It tasted more like it sat for a week. The dude did make it in front of me, but man oh man, it tasted like a wet, dirty sock. I was shaking my damn head in why would I even choose a spot that sells tacos, sushi and shrimp fried rice. Next time… wait, there won’t be a next time.

I love this place!!! I’ve never tried the mexican food — though it always looks good. I always get the sushi. Hard to believe, but a place called Fresh Tortilla in the Bronx has my favorite Sushi. I even like this sushi better than the sushi at Fairway or Whole Foods. If you’re looking for fast, inexpensive Sushi — this is the place!

Sashimi delivered in the Bronx… yes please! This restaurant serves Japanese food, Mexican & Chinese food — Havent had the last 2 — but I can vouch for the Sashimi… its GREAT. 2.00 a piece is a great deal, for the thick slabs you get — tender and fresh — a dozen or so varieties, and they have the sweet egg Tamago sushi — I was in heaven — They DONT come up the elevator, as has been mentioned before, but at 9pm, if you want sushi/sashimi delivered to your door, get your bra/robe on! — totally worth it! The bubble tea is also wonderful!

Good sushi is rare in the Bronx… That’s why this place surprised the crap outta me. My mom & I decided to order from this place one time because we were just craving some sushi and didn’t want to leave the house… We were skeptical at first, I mean c’mon. this is a Tex-Mex spot with sushi … So when that delicious little piece of heaven entered my mouth I was so happy! Their sushi was sooo delicious and completely fresh. I totally love this place and have ordered their sushi multiple times. Definitely try it out for some delicious local sushi!
