It’s a shame, really, considering DD is such a popular brand in this area of New York, yet this specific franchise is a disaster. Where I lived a year ago in Stamford the DD rocked! They were speedy, friendly, and most importantly the coffee actually tasted good. Being from upstate the Canadian infusion of Tim Horton’s is addictive, but I’ve never passed up a good cup from Dunkin when I’m in a hurry. Today was no different. I was running a touch late for work, and with the holiday so close I said to myself«no worries, just buy breakfast, you deserve the treat!» I should have brewed my own cup in the nespresso at home. Parking is a pain. While there is a lot in the back it’s small, difficult to maneuver, and with the bridge construction you have no option but to park in the bus stop and hope you’re in the 30 minute window that it’s not at this stop. Once I got into the store, the line moved slowly. The ladies in the morning are always friendly, but they speak full, intense conversations with each other in Spanish. The Spanish isn’t the primary issue. It’s one thing if you have a conversation in front of customers in Spanish, but you’ve crossed the line when you’re so infused into this conversation that you’ve forgotten the simplest order, possible. The cashier asked me how I wanted my coffee. I said cream and one Splenda. Loud, involved Spanish conversation ensues and what do I get? Milk and two Splendas. With little time left and patience running thin I left with the incorrect coffee, my breakfast sandwich and hashbrowns, which were quite tasty by the way. As I drove to work I took one sip of the coffee, closed it up and opted for the Maxwell House brewing at my office with a splash of coffee mate. Owners of this franchise should take note. Terrible service is the norm, crappy coffee is also the norm, and I’d rather spend the $ 2 more on Starbucks. Sorry, but this just isn’t worth my time or money any more.

Classificação do local: 1 City Island, Bronx, NY
As a new resident of City Island, I can see why the locals don’t like chain businesses on this island. Most of them are horrible as is the case with this one. This is the third and final time I will visit this place and like the Subway that was in its place before hand, lets hope this place closes soon. First of all this place is never clean and there is always at least one homeless person sitting at a table not ordering anything but rather taking up space. The place is always filthy with the tables looking like they haven’t seen a good cleaning in days. Finally my biggest issue with this place, NOONE speaks English. Now I’m all for immigration reform and hire people in my own business to do work who needs a little help, but this is a national chain with someone’s Tia behind the counter who doesn’t have a clue what she’s doing. This morning I ordered a #7 breakfast meal and asked them to charge me extra for a large iced tea and a large coffee with milk. Apparently Tia after two times of repeating myself charged me $ 8.13 which I though covered my meal. When I pick up my food I asked the extremely rude little«girl» serving the food where my hash browns were. She said you didn’t order them, so for $ 8.13 they were not included. She told me I couldn’t order a large iced tea and pay extra for it as a meal. Well at every other Dunkin’ Donuts this isn’t a problem, so I attribute it to Tia and her lack of being able to communicate as the one taking the order. The little girl who serves the food asked me for another .79 cents to cover my hash browns with a snarky attitude. This place is ran by a family with no manners and no communication skills and I truly hope this place fails very soon. I have attached a copy of my receipt from«Carmen C.» Otherwise known as Tia so they know who I am.
