All I can say is WOW, this place is wonderful. Owners, wait staff and food were all outstanding. I think I found my new favorite place to dine — their prices are reasonable and they are very accommodating honoring your requests. Décor is plain and simple, very nice ambiance. I definitely will be going back. Drinks are a little weak and air conditioning vents just blow too much cold air right on you but they were kind enough to lower the AC. A real gem hidden in the Bronx.

Beautiful and very large restaurant in an industrial area. It’s a hidden gem. Food was good and portions were large. However, I went with a groupon deal and when I received the receipt I saw that I was charged higher prices than the prices on the menu for some items. I guess that is their way of making more money, but I feel like this is dishonest. I have to think about coming back because the food was good.

Don’t let the neighborhood fool you! Acri Café is a diamond in the rough of one of the Bronx’s gritty industrial sections. Once you step inside, it’s as if you’re transported into a rustic Italian village. The food is really great, bringing a fusion of Italian, Latin, and Greek flavors. Both Roland the owner and the staff are nice, passionate, and attentive. We brought our young daughters for a Sunday brunch and had a wonderful experience. We shared the roasted chicken, the chicken parmesan, and every dish was fresh and delicious. Everything is made from scratch and cooked to perfection. We had a Nutella pizza for dessert, which you have to experience to believe. At another table a large group was celebrating a birthday and were having a great time. We found the place while traveling through. But even while it’s conveniently located near the Hutch, the Cross-Bronx Expressway, the Whitestone, and the Throgs Neck Bridge, we would definitely make a special trip to come here again.

I went here yesterday with a couple friends and was amazed from the moment I stepped in. They had a pizza oven that looked just like a place I went to in Ticino Switzerland(Swiss Italian region). We sat down and decided to taste the appetizers before we ordered any food. Omg! We had the portobello mushroom roasted peppers and mozzarella which was so delicious. I think this was part of their daily special. we also ordered clams in red sauce. We were literally eating the sauce as if it were soup! Lol; we loved it. Since the appetizers were great, we decided to order dinner. I ordered the acri pizza, which had sausage, broccoli, and mozarella. We asked if they can dress it with arugula(our little I invention). My friend ordered the acri burger(not Italian food but had an Italian twist — a friend told us the burger was amazing). My other friend ordered Tortellini Papalina, which I did not try but they were raving about how good it was. We were so stuffed! But we had to try the dessert. We ordered cheese cake and tiramisu. We enjoyed every bite like if it were our last meal. lol All in all, this place deserves 10 stars. The service was fantastic. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. The price was descent(my favorite part lol). I will definitely be back here some time within the next week.

The convenience of a parking lot, the beautiful indoor décor, the selection of drinks and good food makes this place a great. Went here for dinner last night and who seem to be the owners treated us with the best service I’ve received in a long time.

Second visit, nice location, great ambiance, I went for Mother’s Day brunch, not a huge selection for buffet but very tasty pickings, I was a bit disturbed by the restrooms, I normally avoid public restrooms but my little one had to go and it was tragic, none of the toilets flushed, gross
Great place to hangout with friends and family. Food is exceptional, generous portions and very reasonable prices. Homemade pastas, wood burning oven pizzas everything was delicious. Service gets 5 stars too. Myra took really good care of us and everyone who passed by was very helpful. Definitely coming back

This restaurant is an absolute gem! The owner Roland is absolutely fantastic; friendly, welcoming, helpful and sure does create a nice vibe throughout the place. The selection of wine is among the best, I am a white wine person and my boyfriend is a red wine person but every glass I’ve tried it never disappoints! I’ve been back many times and plan to many more! Among the delicious pizza, pasta, steak and salad selections my boyfriend and I always go back to: caprese salad, tortellini pasta, beet salad, half chicken, and any steak! Their desert menu changes slightly once in a while but I am sure anyone can find anything to their liking from chocolate cake, cheesecake & ice cream balls!

This café was super awesome. Definitely a reccommended spot to come to. They just opened in november and i found them through groupon. Ambiance: the restaurant was very spacious, very clean, and comfortable seating. The manager on duty and server was very good. Attentive and polite. Food: the food was a great portion size. For appetizer I had the Fried calamari. Good seasoning, and not chewy. Then I had the salmon pasta with pink sauce. I love the fact they have fresh grated parm to put on the pasta. To drink I had beer cant go wring with that. Very elegant with bringing the bottle with a cup. And the beer was realky cold which was a plus.

Spacious, great food and really attentive staff. Large selection of drinks and the price was reasonable. The only caveat was that they had some sort of party which made it tough to hold a conversation with my friends. Nonetheless, I am a happy costumer and will return when in the area.

Really nice place. Came here last night for the first time and will be back soon. For a Saturday night it was quite empty whicj is a plus for me(I don’t like crowded or noisy restaurants). The food was delicious my husband and I both got the churrasco with rice and black beans. my steak was overdone but still good. What I disliked the most was their limited non-alcoholic beverage menu. Nothing more than sodas and some fruit juices. I asked for pineapple juice and they were out so I just drank water. A couple frozen drinks or lemonades would have been nice. The owners were attentive and introduced themselves to us at our table. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I look forward to going back!

Happened to walk into this restaurant by chance after a work meeting in the Bronx. I was originally just looking to grab a quick bite, as I had not eaten all day, and lucked out in finding this restaurant. One of the best pizza’s I have ever had, and a great cesar salad. The staff was very friendly, and the service was prompt but not rushed. It’s always great to accidentally come upon a place and get blown away by the food. I will definitely return next time I am in the area.

My Unilocal friends the Tasty Ladies recently visited this new restaurant and had positive things to say, so tonight my brothers and I decided to try it out. Acri is located a little past Westchester Square in a primarily industrial area, kind of in the middle of nowhere since there are really no retail stores or houses within a few block radius. The restaurant itself is spacious; it has high ceilings, low lighting, and an impressive bar that lines the back wall. The décor is a mix of modern and industrial, though one of the walls was painted bright red with Greek columns on it which I don’t think goes with the theme. The menu contains a number of Greek, Italian, and Latin dishes. We wanted to start with some fried calamari, but they were out so we decided to go with the coconut shrimp instead. It was good — I can tell they«breaded» the coconut themselves; it sat on top of an arugula salad and came with a sweet cherry sauce on the side. My only gripe with it was for $ 10 it only came with three shrimp. For my main I had the pollo zingara which was chicken breast topped with sausage, sun-dried tomatoes, and roasted peppers in a white wine sauce; it came paired with roasted potatoes and mixed veggies. Our sever and the manager were friendly, and the food was good overall. This place has potential; the menu is a little all over the place and while I like the décor it looks a little unfinished(especially towards the end of the restaurant). With some fine tuning this could be a great place, hopefully the isolated location won’t hurt them. I’m not sure I would go out of my way to come back here, but I wouldn’t be against it.

Acri is a town and comune in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria region of Italy. The town is built on three hills overlooking the Mucone and Chàlamo rivers on the edge of Sila National Park. What does Acri mean in the Bronx? An exciting new restaurant that just opened on Commerce avenue! Adorned with rich décor of high polished tile flooring through out, marble columns on the walls, and a sprawling gorgeous mahogany bar this spacial café looks more like a luxury nightclub! The menu is a varied blend of Italian, Greek and Latin cuisine with pages of choices. It’s in between your favorite diner mixed with a 5 star restaurant! One of the owners Roland Mujaj, made sure we were spoiled by suggesting we start with two appetizers that we were sure to love! We were presented with two beautiful plated dishes, the first was perfectly made steak and chicken empanadas that boasted seasoned shredded meat in a flakey delicious empanada shell, served with a verde sauce. The second was a dish named Montaditos, which were green plantains topped with a beef and chicken mixtures served with a peppery red sauce! I loved both these appetizers and had to stop myself from finishing them to have room for the other food we ordered! Of course I had to try a pizza from their brick oven! This Margherita pizza was amazing! I loved the flavors and the thin crispy crust! We also had the Caprese with mozzarella, tomatoes, roasted peppers and basil. Onto entrees! I wanted to try and see how their Greek beef gyro plate was, and it definitely did not disappoint! I loved how it was served, decomposed do you could invent your own with plenty of pita, seasoned beef strips, a side salad and saffron yellow rice with a delightful light Tzatziki sauce! I was in heaven! My partner(of course) had to have his usual of chicken Parmiginia which to my surprise he judged it to be one of the best he’s had! Again the sauce was very good with a nice thick piece of breaded chicken with a switch, they did not use mozzarella, they used Pecorino Romano cheese which gave it a very unusual and great taste! My Manhattan cocktail and Millionaires coffee were both made just right and was not stingy with the alcohol! Our waitress Anita was very classy, professional and charming and had our every dining need fulfilled! We did not have room for dessert and that point but Roland insisted we take home their Tiramisu. When I did try it, I have to say it was the richest and most scrumptious one I have ever tried! This restaurant will be a success, I just hope the location does not hurt them at all. They make their own pastas, breads, and desserts and are not afraid of special orders! They have their own parking lot and are open 7 days a week.

My first time at this place I had just gotten back from vacation. I went here with my mother and 21 year old sister. We ordered our food and it was delicious. They waitress was very nice and well mannered. She was patient with us being indecisive. The owners were there and politely introduced themselves to us. They all made us feel so welcomed. We had a great night and enjoyed our dinner together so much that a few days after that we returned again. Our second experience was even better than our first. We came with a few more friends the second time. I decided to treat my mother and two aunts for lunch along with my younger cousin. We had the Nutella pizza topped with strawberries and whipped cream for desert and it was AMAZING. I really love this place and the staff so much. I’ve been here about 4 times now in the past 2 months & I plan on returning here for a birthday brunch on Sunday with my family & friends. I always look forward to being here. Such great staff, owners & food! THANKYOU
