This awesome furniture store had me wishing I was in the market to purchase a few new pieces. It screams country and all pieces were hand crafted in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania of solid pine. The layout of the store is unique with your eyes being able to travel the entire length and width of the store, yet the layout is divided with decorated room settings of a country home. This furniture store is attached to the side of the Bristol Amish Market and you can enter from the outside or the inside of the market. I told hubby I just wanted to take a peek and he said«okay, a peek.» I peeked for well over an hour! The colors catch your eye first with stains of red, sage, black, walnut, cherry, white, natural and this really neat Boulder stain which is a light warm brown. While you are marveling over the fine craftsmanship of high quality furniture you feel like you are in a room in one of their houses with doilies, lamps, knickknacks, books and candles scattered about. Everything that you see was made in Lancaster and most of it is for sale. They still make the corner cupboard which conveniently fits into that perfect space. You will recognize most of the pieces even though they call it a jelly cupboard, a sewing cabinet or a hunt board. They have bookcases, hutches, dining room and kitchen furniture, including drop leaf tables and islands. Living room furniture, end, coffee and sofa tables, benches with curved high ladder backs and bedroom furniture. The furniture is made to last a lifetime and their prices are incredibly reasonable. A great place to shop for handcrafted gifts, the store is loaded with ideas and reason enough for me to return to take another peek.
