Made a reservation on the patio so we could listen to the band playing in the park. It made for a fantastic relaxing evening. First of all, a place that gets that different style beers go in different glasses is always a win for me. Great beer selection and great food selections too. You don’t have to like German food to enjoy this place since their menu has so much variety. We both enjoyed our meals very much. The crab cake appetizer was delicious too. We will definitely be back!!!

My boyfriend picked this place based on a 4.2 star Google review. This was his first time in Bristol and I suggested a few other places but he was interested in their beer selection. We sat at the bar on Memorial Day sunday around 3:30. There were a couple at a table outside but no one inside. The bartender was quite nice and Steve was asked if he would like to sample a beer. The bartender made a suggestion… Palm Belgian amber ale and that was a fine choice. I had a drink on their cocktail menu: a Honeysuckle martini. It was quite good. The french onion soup was gluten free(without the bread, of course). I love a good french onion and this was tasty but not special. A relaxing experience, nice bartender but probably not a place we will be returning to based on the menu and atmosphere.

We came on a night when they had a function in their other room and the food was a bit slow coming out. The owner was very apologetic, offered us complimentary appetizers, and as always, the food was fantastic and worth the wait. It’s a very good restaurant with a very friendly staff and we’ve never had a bad meal there.

The atmosphere is superb as is the wait staff. I love the sauerbraten and the weinerschnitzel. My favorite dish however is the pecan encrusted pork medallions. Great martinis. Adequate wine list. You won’t be disappointed

First time here and first time German food so take that for what you will. Nice staff and nice layout. Cool vibe in the place. The food was okay but nothing amazing. I suppose if you like German beer then this is the place. However, the food certainly did not change my life.

What a delightful surprise. I have eaten at German restaurants in the US but they are usually a poor representation of the culture. However this little gem is a winner! The Weiner Schnitzel was the best I have had in the states. My husband had the Sauerbraten and it was superb. I Am writing the review before we even leave the restaurant. Quaint décor. We will be back for sure!

Stopped by for lunch on a Sunday. I tried the sauer braten pot roast. It was delicious along with a German black lager. Place is really cool inside. We were just in Germany for oktoberfest and they do a great job of capturing the feel of a Munich restaurant.

I always enjoy myself here. It’s not my wife’s favorite. I love Bavarian, Mediterranean and German traditional foods. Wife isn’t a fan. Excellent German beer selection. Oktoberfest is a great time — every year!

Great service, great food and the prices were fair. I will definitely be back. The chourico special was awesome and the calamari was perfectly breaded/fried and brought with great sauce!

THEBARROCKS! The food here is good but nothing to rave about. I’m giving this place 5 stars because the bar deserves it. Since Redlefsen’s is a German restaurant, the bar has several genuine German beers on tap. It is a quiet place where you can actually sit ATTHEBAR and carry on a conversation in a normal voice. Excellent beer in a quiet and very pretty location. To me, that’s the definition of a perfect bar. I wish more places like this existed.

I’ve been a few times and have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the service of this restaurant. While I don’t love German fare, I can find something I like on their menu pretty consistently. It is a little difficult for me on their Octoberfest night which has exclusively German food, but the experience at that night is not one to miss! Singing, dancing, and lots of hilarity pervade the restaurant during the Octoberfest celebration. If you’re looking to skip the cleanup on thanksgiving, their buffet was excellent as well. It included all the traditional thanksgiving fare.

Are you reading this review while wondering if you should go to one of their Oktoberfest dinners? DOIT! My husband and I went with another couple and had a great time. The dinners are offered Wednesday and Thursday nights during October. There are two seatings, at 6:00 and 8:00. The menu is a bit different than their regular menu in that everything on it is German or German influenced. The draft list was a German beer-lovers dream and everyone was happy with their choices, except for me. I’m not a beer drinker. I had a very good Malbec that I was pleased with. We decided to start off with«King Ludwig’s Feast», which is a plate of meats, cheeses and pickles. It was good, but I felt it was slightly overpriced at $ 13.95. We also had the potato cakes, which we all loved. For entrees the table got Wiener Schnitzel, the Wurst platter, Cod strudel and Rindergoulash. Everyone was happy with their meals. For dessert we had pumpkin cheesecake, which was amazing and German chocolate cake, which was also good. During the Oktoberfest meals you have people in German garb singing German songs, playing the accordion, dancing and ringing bells while you are eating. Singing and dancing along are encouraged. It was a really fun night and I highly recommend it.

The food is delicious. So far I’ve had the salad and the schnitzel sandwich. The beer, too, is authentic and excellent. There’s something joyful about being served beer in something besides a pint glass. Here’s my favorite spot on the east bay.

Excellent. Service was great. Food is fresh. German food is distinct and these guys nailed it. It is authentic. At the end of the bike path, a great place for a cool refreshing beer(grapefruit schofferhofer) and a perfect grilled cheese with a salad, and of course, fries. Hey even have a kids menu!

Way overpriced for what you get. They forgot to provide a bun for my wife’s hamburger and service was a bit slow. And no bread for table until we asked… Not horrific but food was uninspired. May return for the German beer,

Went there Friday night, they sat us in the bar area, right next to the only 3 tables with people, the rest of the place was empty(hmmm… The place across the street had an hour and a half wait) ordered wienerschnitzel/unimpressed not pounded very thinly the end of the cutlet seemed like it hadn’t been pounded at all, vein in meat very chewy, spaetzle was COLD and uninspired. Not impressed by the signature dish, service was fine, décor was interesting, Woke up at three am and spent several hours in the bathroom Prolly won’t go back. Get schnitzel fix at the Dean

When Redlefsen’s gets it right, it’s really good. But other times, it can be lacking. I wouldn’t drive more than 20 minutes to come here unless you’re spending the day in Bristol and need lunch. Redlfesen’s is a good place to eat dinner if you live in the area, and don’t feeling like cooking at home. Most of the entrees are priced too high in my opinion when you take into consideration the ambiance of the restaurant. The décor is nice with a European flair but it does feel a bit outdated and it’s always dead in the dining room. Also, the service is just OK. On a recent visit I ordered a hefewiezen but our waitress brought me a dark beer by the same company. When I asked about the beer I ordered, she admitted that she couldn’t remember which one I wanted and the other one kicked so she just gave me this one. It wasn’t a big deal and my husband ended up drinking the dark beer but still, had I been eating a $ 30 steak I really would’ve expected to get the right beer I ordered or at least be notified that it had sold out. Luckily, I know the drill now and I stick with apps and salads at Redlefsen’s; this is how you get a tasty meal and leave satisfied without having spent a ton of cash. I usually always get the Caesar Salad. I really like that salad. It’s nothing fancy but it is consistent. The Mixed Seafood fry is also very good. I like the calamari too but the last time we ordered it, there wasn’t a single tentacle leaving me wishing and hoping that it wasn’t pork bung! For a really great time here, come on a warm sunny day, sit on the patio and order a Shofferhofer Grapefruit Hefeweizen, split the Fritto Misto, order a few salads(the Red’s salad is also very tasty!) and then share a plate of Spaetzle(even though it doesn’t usually come with the crispy onions as promised).

I attended an outing in their event room last week. Overall the food and beer was good and very nice and clean. The décor was confusing almost everything suggested French décor with the exception of the beer steins on the wall. Then there was the Italian music… I suppose after a few vats of beer it won’t matter.
