My late-night neighborhood go-to for all things life. First and foremost, there is an excellent selection of cigars and hookah supplies for the smoking aficionado. Given the general difficulty of finding hookah supplies, I’m grateful for the Palace’s proximity to my current apartment. Outside of those luxuries, there is a robust supply of your standard convenience fare in the food and drink category. They’ve even got a Subway built right in for those feeling a little fresco. The staff here is also a huge plus, with friendly attendants and owners that even allow you behind the counter to check out goods. Always a hello and always a ‘see ya soon.‘ Bottom line: I felt the need to review a convenience store. That should say it all.

Not much in Brighton. Eggs brown Irish oasis. Subway and gambling. CVS was out of eggs, so it was super providential that I happened to step inside this crazy weird convenience store. There are three parts to this convenience store: 1. Subway(yes, as in Subway Sandwiches, maybe a knock-off, I don’t know, but seems real). 2. One of those creepy gambling halls for horse racing and football(aka soccer). Lots of cigars, and probably booze. It takes me back to my days in Ireland. 3. Convenience store: with a number of Irish goodies. I came in for eggs, but what I discovered was much more than eggs. They have tons of KerryGold butter, cheese, all the fixins for an Irish breakfast – pudding, wheaten toast, sausage. IMHO there are a lot more food options here than your typical pharmacy. Needless to say, I stepped out with more than eggs in hand.

Looks like a good place to get snacks and such. I love that they have Irish food too. Now I can get my black pudding fix!

I conveniently live and work close by to here. So that the only reason I pretty much enter this store. They have keno, lottery, scratch tickets, a variety of your regular grocery need, at an okay price… however that doesn’t matter cuz their service is Fricken horrible. I can explain a situation where I am patiently waiting in lie behind a customer, and it takes long enough for my turn to come up, due to the fact that they are so focused on the lottery part of their sales. So when I finally come up at counter I greet them and lay my items down, and then they ignore me and help the other addicted to gambling old lady reeking of cigarettes. Only reason I give this place 2 stars rather then 1 is cuz they have subway –_–

The Palace Spa is pretty awesome. It was right across the street from my old apartment and I bought lots of last-minute stuff there. They have an excellent Ben and Jerry’s selection, FYI. The only real problems I have with the PS is that sometimes they have expired stuff on their shelves and they(illegally) had a $ 10 minimum for credit cards. Boo to those things. But there is like a whole wall of porn if you’re into that.

It is a little store in Brighton center. It is clean and has a wide variety of «Irish» brands. They have good prices on sausages and bread. They sell monthly T passes, lottery and keno. They just added a Subway which takes away from the hometown feel but I am pretty happy. I can get my Subway fix within a block of my house. The Subway was clean, delicious and I was impressed they had the calories on the board.

This place is awful. You can go in there just about anytime and find at least three expired items. The employees often border on rude. Sometimes they can’t even bother to pause their cell phone conversations to utter a courtesy«hello» or an even rarer«thank you». They have a huge back room for Keno so if they have lotto customers, forget about trying to buy milk because you’ll wait forever. I was a loyal customer for a long time because they are right near my apartment. What really bothered me about them was when I tried to use my card for $ 9.85 purchase I was told there is a $ 10.00 minimum. OK A) that is a violation of the agreement they signed with the credit card company and b) I was FIFTEENCENTS away. I had been in there probably four times a week for over a year and they couldn’t let me slide on FIFTEENCENTS?

Palace Spa has been a historic monument of Brighton Center for so many years. This is where the locals and the local elderly have come for years to grab a cup of coffee, buy lottery tickets, grab some milk and last minute snacks, or hang out and play keno together. It’s a rather random store where you can buy a bunch of random things, but I can’t imagine Brighton Center without Palace Spa. Bottom line: Thank you Palace Spa.
