Jaclyn was a great server! They have changed their menu up a bit, some of which I’m happy about and some not so much. They got rid of my creamy onion soup! they did add a Marsala sauce for the steaks. They were out of the roasted sirloin, which is prepared like a prime rib, but the sauce was still very good in the regular sirloin. They also have a few new sides, such as Mac and cheese and creamy Parmesan rice. My favorite side is still the sweet potato with cinnamon, butter, and yumminess. For a chain restaurant, they are making changes to improve service, quality, and taste.

Do not sit at the bar!!! Service is for«regulars» or you will wait a very long time. FYI

(This review is based only on carry out) Asked for the Mahi-Mahi, I received the Ahi-Tuna…our pasta was like a chicken breast slapped on handful of noodles so more like a chicken dish less of a pasta dish. We ordered soup but wasn’t in our carry out(in retrospect we should’ve checked our order before driving away) our bread was hard and check out the pic… that’s the amount of butter we received. We got our chopped salads which was the saving grace because that’s all we had the appetite for! Enjoy dining in but the carry out is just a disaster and makes us want to find another place to dine in.

Let’s see: my first two choices for dinner were«sold out,» and my dinner companion ordered a steak, well done which came to her full-on, bloody, rare. The whole time, gaggles of unprofessional waitstaff bickered, joked and gossiped around us, so the atmosphere, thanks to them, could not have been worse. Pricetag? Two average meals and one dessert, nearly ninety bucks. Outback tonight? I really wouldn’t.

Food can sometimes be good. Excellent clam chowder. Service can be good to very bad. We went there the other day and stood at the check-in for over 5 minuets waiting for the hostess to show up and this was in the middle of the lunch hour – she said that she was cleaning? After we were seated the waitress never showed up and we left. Whom ever was in charge that day should find another line of work. Will probably not go back. They must hire Applebees rejects, another bad service restaurant. It sure is a pleasure to occasionally find an excellent server. They are rare. Seems that server training is lacking in the chain restaurants I think and managers can be from very good to very poor! Bourbon redeye steak is not tasty. Too strong of marinate flavor. Should have sent it back. Stay away from this steak!

Went to outback for a family birthday. Everything was great except the steak. I got the bacon bourbon ribeye and it was too salty to eat. The manager did take it off the bill but it was disappointing. I’m not sure why a steakhouse is ruining good steaks by using a super salty seasoning. Others had the sirloin and said it was good. Mine was inedible.

My wife and I went to the OutBack Steakhouse on September 10 for dinner and that is the last time we will go there. We thought we were lucky to get in so quick but little did we know there was a reason for it. I had over cooked Lobster, rubbery and dried out with a Filet that was full of fat and that was over cooked. The broccoli was burnt! It wasn’t crowed because the food was terrible!!! It took the rest of the evening with a lot of breath mints to get the taste out of my mouth. Our waitress even said the food has gone down hill!! We will never go there again.

The last two times we’ve been here they have been out of prime rib or limited in how it’s been cooked.

Great meal! I came to Michigan on a business trip. I went to Outback at 6:45 pm on Australia Day, when they had some specials running… so I expected that the service might be a little slow since they were busy. Not at ALL. I was seated immediately, and my food came fast. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. The hostess was very friendly, and my waitress, Ashleigh, was exceptional. She was also very friendly and learned my name for the whole meal. The service was amazing. My glass was always more than half full. A+ all around. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

What a terrible and odd experience. I do not recommend this location. We were here with a large group about a year ago and had a great experience. Not the case this time around. Wow. Our server(jerry I think) seems to have a group of buddies in his section and they must tip great! He has spent all of his time catering to them and eventually came around to our table. He said he was ready to take our order so I asked for a prime rib. His response was that they are running low. Idk what that means so I said well I’d like a prime rib. He scampered off to get his manager. When she came over she appeared confused as to why she was asked to «swing by». We were equally surprised. The manager reported back with the prime rib that was available to order and the server continued the experience with quite a little attitude and a rather large chip on his shoulder. The service alone is reason to find another restaurant. The greeting committee at the door was pretty weak too. More concerned with telling stories about shenanigans going on in the kitchen than working or taking care of customers. Actually, after taking a look around it appears many of the workers are more interested in socializing than attending to their patrons. Probably why there’s a 5 minute wait on a Saturday night!

Outback is running a new dine in rewards program. You use your phone number instead of a card like the old dine reward program did. We recently had a party at outback and had spent over 300 dollars with a generous tip. After using the new rewards method i was given a ticket that stated 50 percent off your next check. I was shocked and asked the waitress that this is to good to be true and she said no it was the new rewards program. Well i inspected the ticket more and there was no fine print and no details of any kind. The next time i was at outback i presented the ticket with the reward and it took 20 dollars off a 120 dollar tab. I asked the waitress and she didnt know or understand the new reward program, so i talked to a manager and they explained that there is a website with details and the coupon is only good for a max of 20 dollars off your bill. pretty deceptive if u ask me. So beware of any coupons u have and check the website for the real details.

Usually we have a great experience at Outback, going 1 – 2 times per month. Easter Sunday was a huge disappointment. Slow service, long waits for food, medium well steak that was rarer then a medium rare steak. Just a very bad experience all around. Not sure if we will be back anytime soon.

Horrible. An unacceptable experience with an uncaring, unorganized Host. The 35 minute wait was a realistic 1 hour and 10 minutes. Locals claim this is the norm, not an exception. Searing seems to be more discretionary rather than first come first seated. Our party if 5 was passed over in the list to seat 2 four tops that could have been moved together to accommodate us. Our 3 adult 2 children could have been seated in one of the 2 Booths offered to parties arriving after us. Don’t dine here.

Lately, the service here has been something else to be desired. A previous time, we had a table of 4 and our order was taken before other tables around us with more guests, but those tables had their entire meals served before ours. We waited nearly 45-minutes for our food and had to complain to the manager. They blamed the kitchen for being«backed up» and not familiar with their new«promotional menu». Previous to that, my in-laws went in and had to send back their steaks THREE times since they were either under-cooked, over-cooked or under-cooked each time. Another time, the power went out during the start of our meal and their back-up generators did not come on. We stayed for about an hour waiting, drinking our sodas and eating our blooming onion and were told that we could leave without paying the bill, but weren’t offered any other compensation for the inconvenience or their back-up generator failure. Yesterday, we went there for my husband’s birthday dinner. There were three of us — we all ordered the Sirloin Special with Lobster tail. To recap, I had the 6-oz cooked medium rare classic. Husband had the 8-oz cooked rare wood-fired. Dad had 6-oz cooked medium rare wood-fired. What is delivered to our table? I get an 8-oz cooked medium rare. Husband gets a 6-oz woodfired. Dad gets a 6-oz cooked classic. They had swapped our steaks, it appeared. The server didn’t even know how to resolve the problem and admitted«she didn’t know what to do» and asked if we wanted to «just switch the steaks». Um, how about no? Then she sent the manager and the manager wanted to know if we wanted to eat our lobster tails while she had the steaks sent back. Um, how about no? If I wanted my meal piece-by-piece, I would have ordered it that way. So, I asked for all three plates to be sent back and made correctly and brought out hot and all together. The floor manager came by to apologize. The proprietor(owner) came out to serve the new plates and apologized. Our entire meal was comped, so they did right and took accountability, but their service has been slacking for the past year. I’m not sure if it’s the kitchen staff or servers or insufficient training, but something has been off since we’ve never had anything but an excellent dining experience here and we’ve lived in the area for over 3-years and been going to this Outback for well over 5-years, at least. I know my in-laws have been going for over 10-years since they’ve lived in Howell that long.

Good food, clean and new looking. The staff is on point with the service and the time of wait. You don’t have to wait too long until your eating some great food. Everything about this location was super clean you will enjoy

Lunch specials rock!!! It’s a great deal. Service was great even though the dude was not very pleasant. He had great etiquette, service skills, and timing. The steak was goood, with an extra«o». My date had the burger and ate all the bread rolls. He asked for extra rolls too. So, the waiter was extra cool with him pigging out(gross). This is a decent steakhouse if you want good steak, low price, don’t want to cook at home, or change out of your almost-scrubby casual clothes a.k.a are not fashion conscious and don’t mind people bringing children with manners that are hit-or-miss.
