DONOT get sashimi here! I came here on a Wednesday night — there were only a few other tables with customers. As such, I expected much higher quality food since they clearly were not busy. I ordered the«sashimi deluxe» and was extremely disappointed by the small sizes of the fish. What is typically considered 1 piece of sashimi was split into thirds. To add insult to injury, 2 small pieces of fake crab were considered a part of this order. It is absolutely not worth the money. Even the all you can eat places cut larger pieces. Yokohama in Somerville is a much better choice. The high reviews here must be for cooked food only because their raw bar is substandard.

The best sushi ever. The owners really get to know your likes and dislikes and make wonderful suggestions.

Very nice place, A LOT of options specially for lunch. Sushi is great, agadashi tofu(vegetarian, they event told us what they have in the sauce and it is really yammi) and vegetable gioza were also good. Avoid the Mochi :) The service is great, green tea is wonderful and they were SO kind!

This was about the best sushi I ever ate. Important to note: I’m a vegetarian. While they are not a vegetarian sushi place, they had FIVE vegetarian(and therefore vegan) options of rolls on the lunch menu! Took a while to prepare but worth it and quite reasonably price. The sweet potato sushi was a surprisingly wonderful treat of taste and texture. The miso soup broth was also probably the best I ever had. I do wish the bento box lunch options permitted for a vegetarian selection, but c’est la vie. Service was okay but a little«I’m not quite sure how to interact with you.» Good tea… refilled thrice! Very nice dining room. Also a large hibachi dining room that I’m guessing isn’t too vegetarian oriented. LOL.

Always used to love this place but lately it’s just went downhill fast. Menus are all torn up, bathroom dirty, and the service is agonizingly slow even when half of the tables are open. It seems like all I see is the owner racing around doing takeout — perhaps they’ve forgotten customers in restaurant want to be served also? Tonight waited 51 minutes from order to food, asked twice for updates didn’t get them and finally asked them to serve my husband as his roll was sitting at counter for 10+ minutes(They were waiting to serve him with me which I get but then update us and ask for our choice) we are going to skip this place from now on — too many other good places that want to serve us!

They match their excellent food with excellent service. Saving a star since we haven’t tried enough dishes. We tried few makis, a bento box, and the sashimi salad. The sushi rice for the maki was on point. I LOVED the sashimi salad. The dressing wasn’t too tart, and the portion was just right, not skimpy like some other places. Will definitely go back!

I am super impressed with this place. Having recently moved to Branchburg, I was having some trouble finding some good sushi restaurants in the area for take-out(without having to go to downtown Somerville). I used the trusted Unilocal app, saw the phenomenal reviews and was once again guided in the right direction. This place is located in the Prince Rodgers strip mall behind the Bridgewater mall. It’s in the same strip mall as the Thai Kitchen. It’s not the best looking strip mall but they have a lot of good restaurants. I’ve only ever called in take-out but it’s a fairly large restaurant and they have a number of hibachi tables. I’d definitely give this place a shot for some hibachi. The sushi here is awesome. The quality is great and it always tastes incredibly fresh. It’s some of the better quality sushi I’ve had in the Central NJ area. I’ve had their roll combination(tuna, salmon and yellowtail rolls) and I always make them spicy for an additional charge. I’ve also tried a number of their special rolls and they are great, too. There is nothing I’ve tried here that hasn’t been awesome. They do a pretty good job of keeping the quoted time for pick-up. This place does get busy so it may take some time for your order depending on what time you call in. I do like the miso soup but the salad is pretty ordinary. The salad is really the only ordinary thing I’ve ever had here. Prices are pretty standard and the special are about a dollar or two less than what I’m used to paying. There is no doubt this place will quickly become one of my go to restaurants in the area. Give it a shot.

In the area from NY on business and ordered the combination roll take out. Came with soup and salad and very reasonably priced. Sushi was fresh and portion was generous. I’ll be back next time in the area.

Yesterday we were debating on where to go. So we decided on the Sushi House. I have to honestly say that it was a great dinner and the sushi rolls were good. Sometimes you come across some places that really don’t put that effort in .but they definitely did. We both had hibachi dinners as well and that were good. The owner was very friendly and she came to our table and spoke to us for little bit. She acted like she cared to have us there. I definitely recommend Sushi House to everyone. If you want rolls get the Ninja roll and the tartar but with Salmon. Thanks !!!

Sushi House is situated in a cruddy little strip mall(such is NJ, I suppose) down the street from the mall. Inside it’s a simple place, with half the space dedicated to hibachi. But, we were sushi’ing last night. Started with a simple yet fresh avocado salad(sprinkled with black and white sesame seeds). The main act: rainbow roll(salmon, tuna, yellowtail, white fish… I think) and dragon roll(eel and avocado). Perfectly executed! Chunks of fresh flavorful fish and avocado were proportionally balanced with moist sticky rice. Mom got the volcano roll, which she recommends for those squeamish over raw fish, as it contains fried calamari. And, not sure if this is protocol, but my cup of green tea was on the house. Sushi House has earned the top spot on my best of sushi list(maybe tied with East in Berkeley Heights). Will be back for sure!

Tonight was my first experience at Sushi House. I had their hibachi which was delicious. The prices weren’t too costly, and you were given more than enough food. Our waiters were extra friendly and were on top of refills. I had the chicken and shrimp combo, cooked to perfection. A great atmosphere for friends, family, and kids. Next time I’m trying the sushi though!

Excellent service here. The owner goes out of her way to accommodate you and make you feel welcome. I showed up here around 2:20 for a late lunch, not realizing that they close at 2:30 — she never even mentioned it and welcomed me right in. The fish here is extremely fresh. The variety of rolls is extensive and the price is comparable to all others in the area. They have a hibachi room as well but I really only come here for the sushi. Definitely recommend this for an affordable and good quality lunch.

The finance team and I went to the Sushi House Friday, Feb 6 for Hibachi and to celebrate a colleague’s birthday. The last time a huge group of us had Hibachi for a colleague’s birthday we went to Kiku which was a disaster. The Sushi House staff was so welcoming and friendly. The Hibachi cookers were so fun and entertaining and created dialogue with us. The food was really good and tasty. I had the scallop Hibachi. The dressing on the salad was a garlicky ginger and the soup was clear broth but also with a great flavor. The scallops were grilled in a teriyaki and soy sauce. I definitely think it’s worth trying. Unfortunately I live too far away from the area to eat there regularly but if the staff wanted to go again for lunch I would.

I visit sushi house regularly for their sushi lunch specials and they don’t disappoint for the price that includes either a soup or a salad. Service is attentive and fast and the owners are very nice. Haven’t tried any of their special rolls, but their basic rolls during lunch are pretty good. I wasn’t fond of their teriyaki dishes which I ordered once for lunch so I will continue to return for their sushi. I would recommend this for an affordable sushi lunch spot in the area!

Sushi and Hibachi restaurant. Much bigger inside than expected. Their Sushi Pizza is great. and so is the green tea! Service is also good. A great place for a family dinner with a show(hibachi chefs are funny).
