Great place for Chinese food. Service is excellent.

This is by far the best Chinese place in the area. They always are top notch and the takeout food always takes 10 minutes no matter what you order. The need with broccoli… Wow… Wow… Wow!

Best Chinese restaurant in the area hands-down! This place has been a favorite of ours since it was located back in the Pathmark shopping center decades ago! The food is just as delicious now. The egg rolls, fried rice, chicken/beef & broccoli and the sesame chicken are excellent. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

Not impressed with this place at all! I was seated immediately but the waiter was not nice, didn’t make eye contact and didn’t really pay attention when you wanted something. The food was subpar. I was hoping for some flavorful Chinese but this food was pretty bland. Definitely won’t be making a second visit here.

Just took take out from this place(Sunday) recommendations would be don’t even waste your time. Paid $ 35.00 for very bland food. Wontons were in my soup the size of a 25 cent gumball. Egg drop soup don’t bother. Noodles they gave us were dripping with Grease. The also don’t tell you that on Sunday’s you only will receive 1 size meal that cost $ 12 – 14 dollars each. Had a tupper ware of steamed broccoli that cost $ 12.75. Also they up charge everything cause it’s Sunday from there regular posted menu. I gave this place one star cause it wouldn’t let me not give a star.

My favorite asian restaurant ever! Great food that is not greasy and quality ingredients. The staff is very nice and the place is nice and clean with great atmosphere and dining music. I used to work near here and go more often — now that I am not in the area I miss this place! When me and my co-workers were having a tough day at the office we would say we need House of Wong! And our day was much better. Our fav dishes were the pad thai and the hot and sour soup. Need to go back soon! Keep up the great food — there are no places like House of Wong!!!

We had an absolutely lovely experience here, the waiter was so nice and the food was delicious and fresh. They bring you the complimentary fried noodles and duck sauce and delicious hot tea, what more could you ask for on a cold night! We had beef satay(amazing peanut sauce) and chicken potstickers(the dough was so thin and delicious). Dinner was Beef Chow Fun and Thai House Special fried rice. Only thing a little off was it didn’t have much spice, but we didn’t ask for it, so we know next time to ask for spicy! Would definitely recommend this place and will go back again!

The Thai basil chicken was good. The quantity is double compared to most Thai restaurants. It could have used a stronger basil taste. But it was definitely good The pad Thai was also good. The quantity is probably the highlight of the restaurant. Double the quantity and the same price as most Thai restaurants… You can get full and we only paid 12 per person for dinner. Definitely worth a try.

It’s early Friday evening and I’m beat down from the energy and stress of a long weeks work. I finish some errands, leave the gym, check in with the wife and then scroll through my address book and make the call. On the other end is a voice, a familiar voice, with the same inflection and pace every time…“House of Wong, How may I help you?“ My heart starts to warm. I place my same order, beef and broccoli, chicken and broccoli, Fried Dumplings(it’s my cheat day OK), and Wonton Soup extra cabbage. The voice knows it’s me, he must, but still, he acts as we’ve never met before. He’s all business, he’s too busy, they play no favorites, we are all«regulars» here. If the willingness to drive for your Chinese take-out isn’t testament enough to how excellent this place is, I don’t know what is. My Friday night finishes with great satisfaction and a renewed sense of optimism to finish the week and prepare for the next. I look forward to that Friday evening call when I will inevitably hear those heartwarming words«House of Wong, how may I help you?»

Tried house of Wong for the first time last night(and for lunch again due to the amount of food we were given). My boyfriend and I approve! We ordered wonton soup. hot and sour soup, orange chicken, general Tso’s chicken, and fried chicken dumplings. My boyfriend loved the wonton soup. He said it was some of the best broth hes ever tasted and the most tender wontons. I enjoyed the hot and sour soup broth but the noodles were a little displeasing. They were mushy but also stringy. I added some crispy noodles to improve the texture. I have 0 complaints about the orange chicken, generals. The dumplings were not as fried as I though they were. We both were not impressed with those. For how fancy they look they were not as good as they looked. They were tiny very similar to perogies. The rice was sticky but we would have liked it to be extra sticky. When reheated it was still delicious. The inside of the restaurant was very welcoming and the guy at the counter was very nice. They have at least 10 tables and it was packed so you could tell they had great service although we took out. The thing to note about this place is its more of a sit down restaurant than take out although they do offer it. They outsource their delivery service which is very unappealing because while it is free to deliver in somerville and Bridgewater up to a distance of 5 miles or more it is a fee of $ 5.99 for anywhere else. We live only 1 mile from this restaurant so it was very displeasing to hear they could not deliver without a charge to Bound Brook.

Came here for lunch with my coworkers. Really yummy food and easy on the wallet(compared to the other restaurants in the area.) Service was great, too. Perfect to go during your lunch break. Since coming here I’ve changed jobs to work closer to home, but if I still worked in the area I’d return. The restaurant is small in size and there are only about a dozen tables if that — so if you’re coming with a large party it would probably be best to call in advance.

Great food, but overly expensive for what it is. Also, they will not substitute ANYTHING which is a huge turn off. They even charged me two dollars to put my rice in a separate container then the chicken and broccoli.

First time eating there and all of the food was fantastic. My group had a mix of thai and chinese dishes.(I had the Malaysian hot pot which was great). All of the chinese dishes were great and all of the thai dishes were very authentic and deliscious. My favorite part though is their store made peanut sauce, so good.

Finally an actual Chinese restaurant in Central Jersey thats really a restaurant and not a glorified take-out place with a few chairs. It was clean and the service was extraordinary. The waiter was very attentive and did everything right. As for the food its a little above average but the service was so good it made up for any short comings.

Great sit down restaurant for Chinese food in the area! I’ve only been to House of Wong for lunch but it’s now a regular spot for me and my coworkers. The service during lunch is fast and friendly and the food doesn’t disappoint! They have lunch specials for a good price that includes a soup of your choice. Only complaint is that I’ve tried their chow fun and mei fun which were a bit bland and oily in my opinion. But everything else I’ve tried has been delicious! I haven’t explored their dinner menu yet but this is definitely a winner for me!

My family and I have been regulars here for years. They have consistently fantastic service, great food and an impressive menu. I have ordered everything from sweet and sour soup to Szechuan pork to(most recently) red curry tofu and vegetables and the quality and portion size has always been excellent. I like that they have so many different types of cuisine to choose from; «traditional» dishes like sesame chicken and wonton soup, curry dishes, etc. so you can never get bored. They also offer brown rice, which is always a plus in my book. The dine-in experience is always great because the wait staff is attentive and very pleasant. The atmosphere is pretty chill, but still classy with cloth tablecloths and napkins. They always bring out fried noodles with duck sauce and hot mustard(upon request) and a pot of tea and in the summer, you even get a cut orange with the check! The prices are reasonable and I have never left the building without a doggy bag. I absolutely love this place and I would highly recommend it.

I wasn’t sure when I first moved in bridgewater. Turned out that it was a great find. They have good food! The other good thing is that it’s afffordable. I would give five stars but didnt because they only offer delivery via third party company and they charged delivery fee! Other than that this restaurant is a good find in bridgewater area where there is really nothig exciting.
