In my bakery hunt across the great state of NJ I ran across this place. I had a brownie and cupcake, both of which were dry and bland. Totally not worth the calories. I will not be going back.

Sign in reads ties to Friday, 630am to 6 0pm. Why then on a Tuesday at 545pm would a person with the key watch me go to the door to find it locked and then, after I return to my car, walk to the door, open it using a key, and then lock it behind him. And then, have a family walk to the door, try it, walk away, only for him to then unlock the door, walk out eating a banana, locking again and driving off? Not good business.

They have THE BEST rye bread!!! I also like their challah bread; it’s very good and always fresh. But my favorite thing is this cookie they make. They’re in the shape of a leaf. They have sliced almonds on top and are drizzled with yummy chocolate. These are divine!!! It’s a small bakery but we love what they have and the woman that waits on me is always so nice and pleasant. I highly recommend this local best kept secret.

Their Hazelnut cake with chocolate shavings is nothing like the one that Gaston Avenue Bakery used to make. Don’t be fooled. It was dry and not very good at all… The lemon cookies didn’t taste good either and had no lemon flavor. They look like they had a lot of other great things that I didn’t try so I’ll give them that…

absolutely FANTASTIC! :)
I highly recommend this bakery & Hesham, the pastry chef, is a very
nice person who was extremely personable when I visited the
location.

Decided to try this while we were waiting for our pizza next door. Bf and I came in to look around and the place was empty and tiny. I asked the person behind the counter what kind of cakes they were and he told us. When he realized we weren’t getting the cakes and just wanted a slice of each, he got a stink face (but didn’t hide it well! and was just not pleasant).
Anywho, we ended up getting a slice of each: tiramisu, hazelnut, carrot, chocolate mousse, and another one that I forgot.
We tried the tiramisu which was ok.
The hazelnut wasn’t fresh… womp womp womp.
Haven’t tried the rest but after that I really didn’t want to. Also the owner/​person helping us seemed as if he didn’t want to be there
Meh. I doubt I’ll be coming back.
I’ll update once I try the carrot, chocolate and the other :)
