Third time here first time writing a review. Marcel travels the world and reads cookbooks galore to serve his customers an upscale, well played Mexican infused fare. Usually stop on our way home… food is creative, tasty and fresh. Tortilla Soup is phenomenal. The chips, avocado, beans in a delicate soup… couldn’t get enough. Cerviche is well prepared and full of fresh assorted shellfish and veggies. Three trips… left happy each time. Great bar for having a cocktail and watching a game. Highly recommend, don’t listen to the haters… make your own decision. I’d give it 5 for Mexican, but a 4 here… I save my 5 for best of the best.

Great place, the guacamole and chips were super fresh. Had the crab empanadas, tortilla soup, farmers quesadilla, and chicken fingers(kid’s menu). Everything was fresh well seasoned and quick. Service was very friendly and attentive, will definitely come back. Looking forward to trying some of the other items on the menu. They don’t take American Express though.

Excellent food. Very Generous portion of guacamole. Waitress was very nice and really hustled. Everything tastes fresh. My wife and I had a great meal.

Awesome Mexican food. I have wanted to stop here for years and glad we finally did! Steak tacos and shrimp tacos were delicious. Mexican street corn is a must have. Service was good and food was delicious. Tres leches cake was yummy too!

The service is terrible. Took over an hour to get 2 burgers and 2 salads. Greens and fruit were brown and dry. Burgers way over cooked with cold sautéed mushrooms and slimy tomatoes. We ordered a bottle of Malbac. There were 2 on the menu. The waitress brought the most expensive without asking. Never again!

Better than you would expect. Reasonably priced high end Mexican food. Not like most other Hamptons Mexican, a quality meal. Enchiladas w mole delicious. Great margaritas but be careful of the spicy ones, they’re almost undrinkable. Rice and beans remarkably good considering how bad they are at most Mexican restaurants. The simple things make a big difference for me. Good polite service, not rushed but maybe too slow for city people. I’ve been back 3 times and will continue to return.

I love Mercado! Whenever I’m up near the Bridgehampton Commons I have to stop in for lunch or dinner. The food is excellent here! I love the Burritos and the Blue cheese stuffed burgers for lunch — yummy! For dinner I’ve had the Shrimp and Mushroom Quesadilla’s and the Chile Relleno’s — both dishes are amazing! I’ve even eaten here for breakfast on my birthday. I had the huevos rancheros — it was the best I ever had! Stop by this restaurant if you are in Bridge. You will be glad you did!

Street Taco’s and Market Quesadilla are stellar! Home made guacamole is really good as well. Downside is that the Restsurant is very dark and not that attractive. In season it’s very tough to get a table. Worth the wait

This place is a great local hangout to relax at the bar, or come for a family style dinner. I have been coming here since they opened, and the food keeps getting better and better every passing year . Hamptons happy hour is few and far between, so I love the fact you can come here, and always find new great happy hour deals. They also do great drink specials for brunch on weekends. Service is super friendly and always willing to put your team on one many Tvs at bar. I m always here Sunday’s dying football season. Great local hangout summer /winter. Ps. Best margarita on east end without a doubt !!!

Favorite restaurant out here and happy to be back now that peak(crazy) season is over, eating my favorite dish, scallops with goat cheese filled corn cakes and avocado mousse and drinking my favorite spicy margarita.

A wast of space. These place could be better. Came to get tacos and quesadilla and we been waiting over an hour and it’s not even busy. Waitress hasn’t check in to see if we are ok not even once. I’m about to get up and walk away. AWFULAWFULAWFUL. I wish I had the option not to give them not even 1 star.

Seared scallops, tuna tostadas, spicy tuna tacos, Margaritas to die for. Chips and guacamole is top notch. When I come to the hamptons, i make sure to eat here as much as I can. The carne asada with salsa verde. Yummmm. Om nom nom.

I came to Mercado to celebrate my friend and my birthdays this week, and were it not for the great company of my friends, this would have been one epic fail of a night! Even though the restaurant seemed only about ½ full, our food took ONEHOUR to arrive!!! While we were waiting, the women’s bathroom(one stall only) was completely out of order, and began to smell — unfortunately our table was next to it… Eventually, by the end of the hour, the very grumpy manager seemed to have fixed it. To top it off, my mole chicken enchiladas had the worst mole sauce I have ever tasted drizzled on top. It was thin and slightly bitter and chalky. The waiter was kind enough to send it back and replace it with the shrimp and cheese quesadilla, which my friend had been letting me nibble on in the meantime and was actually quite delicious. Although inattentive with the water filling, especially important for a Mexican restaurant with the spices, our waiter was very nice about the replaced entrée and did not charge us for the hassle. In the end he brought out 2 tres leches desserts with candles, which were pretty good, nothing special.(which we were charged for) It seems overall that the service, particularly the management, is horrible with extremely long wait times and that the food is really hit or miss… the cheese enchiladas and cheese and shrimp quesadilla were both delicious but the scallops were underwhelming and the mole inedible. If you don’t mind a wait, and you want some cheesy deliciousness in the area, Mercado is your place… otherwise don’t bother.

Service was the worst I’ve ever had. There was one waitress working the whole restaurant. No busser, no runner. Just a bartender that tried to help her out. After an hour of waiting for our food, my steak tacos come out rare when I asked for well done. I ended up eating 1 out of the 3 tacos anyway, and my friend ate about 1⁄3 of her enchiladas. Overall, the food was just food, nothing that would make me come back and spend 17 $ again on 3 tacos. The only good thing was the guac and chips! I would have been more lenient with the waitress if he had greeted us with more than just a «hi» and actually asked if we wanted to start with a drink. Or maybe if she hustled a little bit being that she was the only waitress for 10 tables. But no.
