Although a chain, love the burgers here. Everything we have ordered has been cooked exactly as requested. Rosemary fries are a real treat. My favorite burger is the Avocado bacon such a great combo.

One of the better burgers I have had in years. Ordered large burger fries and a drink for $ 13. A little pricey but worth it. Use a free side coupon and this place become an easy choice.

Smashburger was amazing… I had one of the tastiest burgers i’ve ever eaten. I had the bacon cheeseburger on an onion roll with french fries. It was so tasty and enjoyable… I highly recommend the burgers there.

The burgers are good, but always crazy greasy. I don’t know if that’s a «Smashburger» type of thing, but it literally drips off every time I get a burger here. The service is okay. Don’t understand the hype over the fries. They’re terrible. I feel like they’re just frozen supermarket shoe string fries and you never get very many of them… It’s okay, but I’m just not impressed.

Excellent! The staff was very patient, and helpful. The regular smash burger was so yummy. I like all the varieties they offer. The fries were tasty, and different. I had an Oreo shake that was the best! Good place

This was my first time at a smashburger and my experience at the Brick location was very good. First off, the place is super clean, that always gives you a good feeling. The staff was also very friendly and hopeful, more outgoing than other fast food/fast casual places I have frequented. The burgers were brought to our table and when I asked for mayo it was brought to me seconds later. They also clear your food when you are finished. I will definitely be back.

Very good burger and fries. $ 10 for a cheeseburger, fries and a drink. Like the concept.

I want to give this place 5 stars bc I really liked the burgers prices and shakes BUTTT I’m actually getting pissed off that the last 2 times I’ve been there the burgers are really pink inside. The 1st time I threw the burgers back in the frying pan the 2nd time I requested well done and I get practically done and I’m staring @ pink! Such a turn off I think overall the prices for the burgers are great the Smash fries and shakes are awesome but if they don’t start cooking these burgers they will lose a customer

This is part of my ongoing mission to try every Smashburger in New Jersey. Given that this is a chain restaurant, one would expect them all to be identical but in my experience, there are differences. On this visit, I tried the Colorado Burger, since it’s a limited-time special. I actually don’t understand why they can’t make any regional burger any time on demand since they’re just working from a fixed set of ingredients and all those burgers should be in a database anyway, but I guess they simply have to have one special burger per region. Anyway, the combination of green chilies and pepper jack cheese in the Colorado Burger is interesting. They ought to use a bit less salt though. Seasoning should be subtle, not the main ingredient! I also had the smashfries. Some of the other Smashburger locations I tried don’t use enough rosemary oil, but this location did and that helped the flavor. Service was quite good and speedy, although it may have helped that I visited on a Sunday night when they weren’t busy at all. And finally, my usual complaint, common to all Smashburger locations, is the pricing. Menu prices do seem a bit high for what you’re getting. What would be a burger combo meal at other restaurants for $ 6-$ 8 comes up to over $ 11 at Smashburger.

I love these burgers and the gourmet style fries… people complain about the price but its meant to be a step up from BK or McDonalds I personally think McDonald’s is wayyyyy overpriced for that garbage they’re selling! Smashburger is like the Chipolte of burgers they are so juicy!!! My 2 year old loves the chicken nuggets and fries, and this is a baby that’s used to my cooking and eats arugula salads and fresh baked fish with yellow pepper red onions garlic etc he won’t eat McDonald’s or burger king… Red Robin I heard is over hyped also… and I think its rude that they put a place right next door… I think that’s crappy and don’t trust cutthroat type of people so I would Never eat there!

I was there at the Brick location 2 days ago… ordered the bacon Cheeseburger & Avocado Club Burger bother Very enjoyable… the Olive oil Rosemary fries & fried Pickles were a nice touch also quick service at rush hour was nice too,…personally I like their thinner burgers easier to eat,…all fresh ingredients inside & each roll was a different style, Brioche, Multigrain, etc, too made for a lunch we really enjoyed. I liked it better then Bobby Flays for sure.

It’s very rare that I review a place three times(actually, I think this might be the first), even moreso when said place is a typical chain food fare sort of joint. So hey, congrats to Smashburger for getting my personal«First to Review 3x» badge. As you can see from my previous reviews, I’ve *really* tried to give Smashburger the benefit of the doubt. When they first opened, I figured it was just a crazy overpriced burger chain trying to cash in on the«burgermania» that seems to be sweeping the nation lately. I was on a diet around the time I wrote that, and I can only guess that the lack of salt and meat running through my veins led me to believe it was actually at least halfway decent. A few months later, I tried it again and was a little disappointed by what I got for my money, swearing to myself that I’ll probably never come back. But I did come back. I was about to go on a ~5 hour road trip for the holidays, was in a rush, it was on the way, and most importantly — I was too lazy to detour even a fraction of a mile to go elsewhere. The place was pretty busy, but there wasn’t much of a line. That’s where most of the good things ended. When I went to order, the girl working the register was *super* curt. I get it, she was probably all«holiday’ed out» much like myself, but she made it super apparent that she either hated being there, or hated my face; I couldn’t tell which, possibly both. I ordered the standard«smashburger» this time around, figuring I’d see how their signature burger tasted. Forgetting my own advice, I went once again for the«big» size for an extra buck /buck and a half more. For a side, I threw in some of those rosemary fries. All said and done, well over $ 10 again, bringing me into the realm of diner /actual restaurant prices. The food came out quickly, and I can officially say after taking the first bite that I am utterly through coming here. Salty doesn’t even begin to describe my burger, and I’m a guy who frequently quaffs«Salty Lassi’s» and«Ayran» at Indian /Pakistani restaurants, so I don’t usually mind salt. This burger tasted like meat that was soaked in butter for about a day, squeezed out, thrown into the salt jar, shaken off, and then pressed into the grill until it was hockey puck’ed(well done, kinda dry). Once again, my burger vs my friend’s(who got the regular size) was practically identical, making the«big» size absolutely pointless, and the fries were pretty so-so this time around, missing a lot of the oil /rosemary flavor I’d come to expect. Maybe my taste buds were burnt off by my «Dead Seas» burger, I don’t know. He got the«veggie fries» with his, which weren’t really anything great — literally just a bunch of carrots and string beans that were dunked into the fryer for a few seconds and then doused with more salt. The only positive thing I can say is that they keep it pretty clean, and the food came out pretty quick. With Red Robin opening literally next door, there’s honestly no real good reason I can think of to come here, unless you think spending restaurant prices for tiny, thin, overcooked, and incredibly salty burgers is a good idea. Meh.

I went to this place having high expectations. A burger, smashed on the grill at exactly the right moment, where it gets more surface area to all the meat. Truffle mayo on the menu(I love truffle anything), olive oil rosemary fries. All sound amazing. It doesn’t bother me, but if you’re interested to know the place is very busy and noisy. From what I’ve seen every location is pretty much like that. But we got our order in, found a seat, and food came quickly. They bring it right to your table. Lots of seating. Always a line going towards the door. One of our burgers had the wrong kind of cheese on it. Pretty hard to confuse«sharp cheddar» with«blue cheese». They don’t even sound the same. I think it was the cashier’s mix up. They offered to make it right, but being cheese lovers we didn’t mind. I had a burger with goat cheese, and my Grandmother had sharp che. sorry she now had blue cheese. The problem is there was hardly any cheese on the burgers. My goat cheese was crumbly and if even one piece fell off my burger onto the plate I’d race to eat it, because there was so little cheese, I felt I needed to eat every bit. I looked over at the blue cheese and it too wasn’t very much. Was that even a teaspoon worth of cheese? Kind of upsetting to see the price we paid for so little cheese. The burgers were cooked perfectly. A little salty, but tasted very good and fresh. The buns were excellent if you ask me. They offer a variety of choices such as egg, chipotle, onion. This is why I gave them the two stars. We had Smashfries which are very very thin, thinner than McDonald’s and have olive oil and rosemary. They were alright. We also had an order of Veggie Frites. Flash fried green beans and carrots. They were alright, but the fries were better. Above I mentioned that I like truffle anything. It annoys me that they have truffle mayo on a burger, but don’t offer it as a topping to people creating their own burger. I won’t be back even if someone offered me a free meal.

Excited to try a new place with the wife for lunch, lets try smashburger… Walk in, check out the menu 2 people in front of us… seating area was mostly dead. We quickly figure out what we want and were next in line. The person in front of us was obviously there for there first time and was not sure of how to order or what was included etc(as we would have been) they only had one register running which was no big deal. We could not believe how rude the ‘order taker’ was being to the person in front of us, she must of rolled her eyes 5 or 6 times, and taken as many deep breathes in disgust and had no patience whatsoever, way to treat your customers smashburger. We looked at each other and walked the heck out before we had a chance to be belittled by the ‘order taker’ there you have it, not really a review of the food, just of the piss poor attitude of the ‘order taker’

Went for first time today and loved it! Burger was flavorful, bun was fresh. They have super thin fries which I love! Top 3 burger places around for sure. Better than Bobby Flay.

Just tried this out for the first time and I must say I was impressed. I had the goat cheese burger with toppings and it was amazing. It was nice to sit outside and eat in this beautiful weather. Definitely going back again. Check it out!

Though the burgers and fries are delicious, it definitely isn’t worth the price. I would have only given it two stars, but I am swayed to three after I requested a root beer float that didn’t seem to be on the menu and they were able to accommodate me. For $ 4.50, comes in a thick mug with extra root beer. Cheers!

My father loves this place and I have no clue why. We went as a family after a late movie(AMC Lowes is in the same plaza) last Saturday evening and it was three or four customers away from empty. My order for one burger, one chicken sandwich and a milkshake came to $ 18.50. $ 18.50! There is no combo; you pay for every individual item-including the fries! The girl at the counter looked miserable and had no customer service skills(didn’t know why we were waiting when she forgot to give us the change she had in her hand; mixed up our order). Her coworkers weren’t much better. Two of them walked up to our table with orders for other tables and when we told them they weren’t ours, they just turned around and walked away. The sandwiches came out quickly, but were less than half impressive. My patty lacked flavor and was really thin. My boyfriend’s order made it to the table as a burger instead of a chicken sandwich(easy to get fixed). The milkshake was probably a strawberry flavored powder mixed in some milk. Very artificial tasting. We were there maybe 30 minutes. The three or four customers that came in before us were all gone by the time that we left, but none of their tables had been cleared. Maybe I’m extra, but that grosses me out. Bottom line? There’s nothing special here. Skip this place and order some Wendy’s. The taste and price are a whole lot better.

My husband has been raving about this place since it opened. The first week, he was eating there just about every single day. So, finally, our schedules worked out and we were able to have lunch together. Even before walking inside, there is a menu on the door so you can decide what you would like to eat. The menu is vast for a burger place, ranging from burgers to chicken to gluten-free items. Toppings seem to be their specialty here as well, and from what I researched, each Smashburger location has at least one burger that is inspired by the«locals». This one would be the Jersey Burger.(Which, I was surprised did not have pork roll!) Anyway, the queue line also has a menu-picture a Surf Taco or a Noodles & Co… so if you are still undecided, you can take your time while you wait. I’d like to add to those also reviewing, and upset about how they run this part of the«experience» to be a little more open-minded. Not everything can be run like McDonald’s. Another need-to-know, they do not have a wait staff, so you have to order first, then seat yourself.(They will give you a number for your table, and bring you your food, but that’s it.) I only thought to add this because the last time I was here, there were two older women that informed an employee that they had been waiting for 30 minutes to see a menu. That just isn’t how it works here. ;) I have ordered take-away twice here, and the people at the counter are always super friendly, knowledgeable and kind. So, as far as service is concerned, it’s been great. As far as the food itself, I do love that they offer Sweet Potato fries, but I was a bit disappointed in the portion size. It was basically a half-filled cup. The burgers on the other hand are quite good, but as most say in other reviews, are big on the toppings. SMASHburger gets its name because they use giant meatballs as the burger and literally SMASH it on the grill, which is why they come out so thin. My advice if you want to really taste the beef is to ask for little-to-no toppings, which they will happily do for you. I can’t remember the name of the burger that I ordered, but it was the only one that had avocado on it, and it was quite good. My husband always gets the Jersey Burger and adds a fried egg-it’s his absolute favorite. Overall, if you want to try something that is just a slight step-up from Five Guys, this is the place. It’s still new and I am sure they are still working out the kinks, but it’s a great joint, and I hope to see it last a long time!
