Two days after a Snow storm my Hubby & I went in to get out of the house for lunch. Not to many people there. We live up the street. We would go all the way to 130 in Hamilton, NJ for the Burgers to that Red Robin. I was very disappointed in this Red Robin Burger & so was my Husband. I used my 10th free meal coupon on a tasteless burger that took forever to come. Will not be back. Going to take the drive to Hamilton. But the Onion Rings were good & people were nice.

So I was so fond of the Red Robin in another location(sorry I am new to the NJ area and forgot the specific location I liked. I think it was in Falls Church, NJ) that I decided to stop in and grab an Avocobo Salad(may favorite salad from Red Robin) at the Brick NJ location. I was told by a host at the door that I needed to go to the bar to order my take out… not a problem. However, the server at the bar was not friendly at all(it was approximately at 3:30ish when I placed my order on 02⁄06). She was not welcoming and was quite snooty. I asked her if her location honored the military by providing a military discount and she rudely responded, «nope!» So my husband(who has been active duty for over 17 years) left out and said that he’d wait for me in the car. He and I were disappointed in the way that she responded. I understand that not all establishments honor the military but the way she communicated it was less than reasonable. By the way, the Red Robin in Falls Church(I think it’s the location) honors the military and the staff there was quite professional and kind whenever I visited). Moving on, the server at the Brick location in New Jersey proceeded to display a haughty attitude towards me AND it seems like I had to wait forever for a mere chicken toss salad(avocobo salad is only a salad topped with grilled chicken and pre-made salad fixings so it’s not like they had to cook a whole meal). I waited for quite a while and the server behaved as though I was invisible. Finally, she went to check on my salad, came back to the bar, took my money and balled up my receipt without asking me if I wanted a receipt. She finally gave me my food. I had to ask her to print me another receipt since she was too rude to even ask if I wanted MY receipt or to provide me with one. Bottom Line: I will not visit that location again and hopefully go through an experience like the one I had, at the Brick location, anywhere else. If I do, I will not provide my business at Red Robin any longer. I am not one to provide feedback unless I feel the need to do so and that is not often. I felt the need in this case because we as patrons work hard for our money like any other workers and when I choose to spend my hard-earned money at an establishment I at least want to be treated with respect and kindness; especially if I am displaying such respectful and kind mannerisms as I was. I could provide the server’s name but I will be kind and show her the respect and kindness she failed to show me. The salad tasted awful, to boot.

I have to say I love Red Robin, but boy oh boy does this location need a little TLC. We sat by the bar at a high top and the server came by got our drink order then came back with them and pretty much disappeared for a while. Once we ordered and got our food the burger was hot and fresh, but the fries were hard and cold like they had been sitting there from the previous night… GROSS. The waitress didn’t come by for a LONG time so I coulnd’t even ask for fresh new hot ones. VERYDISAPPOINTED!

This location is great for a quick meal and a nice cold beer. The service is a little hit or miss when it comes to accuracy and speed. The table ordering system is convenient for ordering appetizers and other items. This system is not good if you need to call your server though. During my last visit I waited a total of 20 minutes for the appetizer to reach the table and the place was completely empty. The server told us that she was in the back office taking care of something and told us a partial life story. She was apologetic which helped to make the visit better. In this case someone should’ve known to run her food orders which had been sitting in the window for far too long before they reached our table. This place was great when it opened but the overall service seems to have decreased greatly. Hopefully this location improves so I can continue to enjoy my visits here.

I will never go back. While in the bathroom, a waitress was throwing up and put her apron on the bathroom floor.

I have been frequenting Red Robin in Hamilton for years, so I was excited to head over to this place in Brick since it’s so much closer to home. It was just myself and our two kids this visit, and we had no wait and were seated quickly. It took a little while for our server to come by, and she made no mention of the little iPad looking thing on the table-which was new for me, even though I’ve been to RR before. Eventually we figured it out after she put our drink orders in. The food came out quickly enough, but our pretzel bites were very overcooked. They looked almost like they were chocolate covered and it was clear they had been in the fryer too long. They still tasted alright, and my kids and I just over dipped them in the beer cheese.(As if you could ever over dip something…) I would have ordered the Uberburger, which was a special, but I was shocked at the sticker price! $ 14 for a burger? Totally outrageous. The bigger issue was not the price, but the fact that you can’t even order the burger how you want it cooked. I get what they are trying to do-making it their«own» by saying«some pink or no pink» but I wound up ordering the Nacho Burger and was told my the waitress my only option was medium well. That was disappointing. When the food came out, my kids were super happy with their meals. The fries looked perfectly cooked, and the burgers were great, albeit small portions for what we paid. Mine tasted fine, and was a good size, but once again, my sweet potato fries were burned. You get an option to leave feedback when you check out-which happens to be at the table.(I liked that part a lot, although being that I saw our waitress about 5 seconds the whole visit, I didn’t feel great about the automatic move to a 20% tip. but, I left it anyway.) and I did leave my feedback so they knew that some of our food was overcooked. I signed up for e-mails for specials… sadly, I think that is the only time I would come back.

The burgers were very good but not worth the wait. Experience says, don’t go hungry. Go, two hours after a meal. By the time you are served, you will be hungry again. If the waitstaff had been attentive, you might have earned another star, but his only real interest seemed to be getting us to download the Round Robin App to our phones.

We were very happy to see a Red Robbin opening near us. We have visited several of them in other areas and have always been very happy. This location is the exception. We first visited when they opened and believed the visit wasn’t good because it was new. We tried again a few weeks later and there was no improvement. After visiting a few days ago we give up. The servers are just bad, the wait for food is very long and the food itself is not up to the standards of other Red Robbins.

We had reviewed the menu online. Looked nice. The food looked great in the pictures. And then we went there… Bring a jacket or a sweater, you’re going to be cold. Restaurants tend to be a bit cooler. This one was a little extra cold. Service is slow. Don’t expect anyone to check to see how you’re doing until you’re practically half way out the door. I can’t imagine how long you would have to wait for more fries. By the time she came back to check how are dinner was, we were ready to leave. The food was edible. Looked nothing like the pictures in the menu. And was over cooked. The meat was dry and bland. Better off going to SmashBurger next door.

As usual, a restaurant that serves alcohol has food that must only taste good if you’re drunk. You also need to be drunk so you don’t notice the 20 minutes you need to wait for a server but we hung in there. Husband and I ordered onion ring and pretzel appetizers. Pretzels were obviously microwaved. Onion rings were okay but probably could have gotten better next door at Smashburger. For the entrees, ordered the crab cake«burger» and he ordered clam chowder. After an additional 45-minute wait after apps were cleared, we finally had to ask for the entrees to-go. When I finally got a look at the«crab cake«I saw it was a flattened, breaded patty. Looked and tasted like a flat fish stick. Husband said his clam chowder tasted no different than Progresso. Noisy, ridiculously slow service, and sub-par food. I’d give it only 1 star but the server was extremely polite and apologetic. We got the impression the long wait times weren’t his fault. Anyway, avoid this yet-another-bad-chain-restaurant.

This place has a nice selection of burgers. However, this was my first time there. Early afternoon when I got there, so no wait. Standard service for a chain. Happy hour is always nice too. I got a bacon cheeseburger. Medium done with bottomless fries. My cousin had onion rings for a price but only 1 serving. Food arrives at a decent time, cooked to order. Take a bite, hello mediocrity. Same as other chains. I thought they would amp it up some, with 2 other burger joints 5 minutes or less away. Well, they have a lot of sauce options but I don’t use those. I want to taste the burger. Which had no lettuce, pickle, tomato, or red onion.(I don’t like tomato on mine but wanted to tell you.) Server was pleasant, atmosphere is trendy. Overall, nothing to really draw me in over other chains. Service 93⁄100 Quality 80⁄100 Atmosphere 84⁄100 Overall 86⁄100

There was three of us and was told it’ll be 40 minutes ended up being 20(awesome). Had their fries app and was just enough for all of us. The burgers were great, service was great and atmosphere was great. All in all great!

Still a decent to okay burger chain but it’s right next to burger city with Smashburger, BWW, and Quaker Steak & Lube and not even far away from Applebees, Fridays, and Five Guys so if you want a burger you have thousands of options now even though the burger overload will make everything seem meh. The upper hand this place has over Smashburger is that it serves drinks and is a good place to spend a weekend watching the game. Also the fries are a lot better here than next door. Lots of decent and fun options for burgers here but when it comes to taste and quality my vote still goes to Five Guys.

I might never understand the«Burgermania» that seems to be sweeping the area lately, with chains like Smashburger, Five Guys, Burger 25, Cheeburger, and a million others that seem to think the lowly hamburger — an item that used to cost five bucks at any diner, should suddenly become a «gourmet» item. That said, you’d have to be disconnected from the TV /radio entirely to have never heard of Red Robin. In case you’re one of those people, Red Robin is(you guessed it), another burger restaurant, specializing in «gourmet» hamburgers, shakes, and endless french fries. The menu is pretty expansive, and no matter what you’re in the mood for, they probably have a burger for it, be it spicy, savory, sweet, or even one with an egg on top, which actually tastes pretty good. A leg up that this place has over«fast casual» chains like Five Guys and the(in my opinion, awful) Smashburger, is that you can get a beer with your meal. While the tap list isn’t exactly anything special, and mostly consists of AB Inbev macrobrew stuff like Budweiser and«macro-craft» breweries, it’s still nice to have the option. Décor for the place? Ehh, it’s pretty much your typical kitschy chain restaurant akin to TGI Fridays, with knick-knacks and posters all over the walls and ceilings. A little more tastefully done, perhaps. Speaking of taste — on to the important thing, the food. RR only cooks burgers two ways, apparently. You can either get«a little bit of pink», or «no pink». I’ve tried getting it as rare as possible by practically begging, and of the 3 times I’ve been here, the burgers have always come out hockey puck’ed, aka, well done /«no pink». If you’re going to ask me how I want it, could you at least *try* not to grill the thing until it’s burnt? Most of the juices were gone at that point, kinda sad, since the burgers themselves are of decent quality, and flavor is pretty good. The topping combinations all work pretty well, and the fries are pretty great, especially when combined with one of their dipping sauces(I’m a fan of campfire). Prices are the upper end of average, and most burgers are ~$ 8 to $ 12. As other people have said, this place still has a bunch of kinks to work out. Service is friendly, but has been pretty spotty. Waitstaff seem to be either overworked, mismanaged, or understaffed, since they’re constantly buzzing around from table to table. Food sometimes comes out quickly, other times it’s an eternity, and while they haven’t really ever screwed up my order, there has been a few times where they forgot to bring a sauce, and my burgers have *always* come out well done, no matter how I ordered it. Hopefully they work these things out, since the food here is better than anything you’ll get at Five Guys, and *WAY* better than the SmashBurger that’s next door. 3÷26÷15 *Quick edit, dropping a star since they’ve only gotten worse. An HOUR for a hamburger on a Wed night, and burnt AGAIN? Gonna be a long time before I go back. Staff is nice, but the kitchen is incompetent.*

Best Red Robin I have been to. I’ve been to quite a few on the east coast. Maybe they have the advantage of being new! I’ve been here a handful of times since they opened a few weeks ago. 99% of the staff is very nice and accommodating. There has been one waitress who was less than friendly, but I shake it off due to the newness and the usual crazy-busy state of the just-opened business. The food is great — some choices seem a bit bizarre(tavern fries are weird), but generally you know what’s coming. I love the Royal Red Robin burger. It’s nice that they have easy substitutions options. If you don’t want bottomless fries, you can get bottomless broccoli! Definitely recommend this location!

I will say our waitress was good. I don’t remember her name, but she was pulling a double and on the second half of it and she was still going strong. Give her a raise. Other than that, this place still has a lot of kinks to work out. I was in a party of two and there was a 5 — 10 minute wait. They never took my name, just«party of two». This proved problematic seeing as everyone that was a party of two who came in after us thought it was their turn to be seated. Needless to say, FOUR parties of two that came in after us were seated prior to us. One couple was seated immediately after we’d been waiting 20 minutes. Finally a girl came to seat us and then had to take us back to the lobby because the table hadn’t been cleared. While waiting for her, yet another party of two that came in after was seated. After another 5 minutes or so, we were about to leave, but the lady finally came back for us. Food was mediocre at best. Had to ask for utensils. At least the margarita was good. Won’t be going back

After previously eating at the Red Robin location in South Plainfield multiple times, I do like the way they arranged everything at this local location. Appetizers: onion stack, pretzel bites with beer cheese are both a great way to start your beginning eats. Burgers, too, where awesome. Although, the only complaint(1 star loss) was the queso dip – it came out room temperature, which, for a cheese dip should be warm if not hot. Overall, great burger spot around the brick/toms river area. P. S. if you are a Bacon connoisseur, you must try the Bacon ‘aoili’ dip. It is delicious.
