Love Koi– this area was in need of a great sushi joint. Love the Kiss of Devil roll and tuna dumplings!

Hostess and greeting gives you a hint of this wonderful Asian experience ahead. Whether sitting at the sushi bar or in the lounge the service and servers are exceptionally pleasant. From appetizers to sashimi all fresh and appealing. The pricing and presentation are both reasonable and appetizing. Wonderful experience.

This place is awesome! The food is so great and fresh and presentation is divine. DELICIOUS! Super clean, great service BYOB. my only question is; I am curious about one of their décor items featuring what appears to be an elephant tusk… Let’s hope not

I love the variety here. Even after two years, the sushi never loses that fresh taste I’ve felt other restaurants lose. You don’t need to stop with just sushi, there’s plenty of other dishes such as curry, Thai, even foods like general Tsos chicken. It’s definitely one of my go to places, and the prices seem reasonable especially because you get plenty of food!

Koi is quite unique by Brick culinary standards. The food is different, drawing from Japanese Thai and Chinese inspiration. The dishes are whimsical flavorful and served in generous portions. Tonight the clientele was a mixture of families with children, retirees and couples out on a date night. Koi would be at home in the middle of a major theme park. It’s a very refreshing change from the multitude of family chain restaurants found in most of Brick.

My group of friends and I came here for a bite to eat after jumping at Skyzone. There wasn’t many people dining there when we came. There were many choices to choose from– from sushi to noodles to rice. I shared some plates with 2 other people. We ordered the King crab California roll, which was really good; tuna dumplings since everyone wrote reviews about it; filet mignon with shrimp and scallops; and shrimp lo mein. Everyone was cooked well and was delicious. The service was very good. She took our orders, got us everything we needed, cleared out plates right when they were finished, and made sure our drinks weren’t empty. I would definitely come back!

Great food, super-friendly owner & staff! Portions are huge and the variety is almost overwhelming. A great addition to the sometimes lacking local food scene!

Visited twice this week. First time we sat up at the bar. Loved our waitress and management checked in to chat which we thought was great. Food was excellent. Had tuna legend roll, Kim chi roll and baby bok choy. The chef sent out an amazing tuna mango appetizer; all excellent. Second night we reserved a table for 7 and waitress was just okay however food and presentation were excellent as first night. Highly recommend: tuna dumpling, lettuce wraps, tuna legend roll, bok choy and for spicy lovers, sushi dinner, the jalapeño poppers and ninja roll. Least favorite: tuna tataki.

Simply the best Asian food I’ve had in a very long time. Excellent service and huge portions! A variety of sushi, Thai and Chinese. Will definitely be back! The owner was very kind as well.

Very nice place. If you are going for the sushi burrito it is a place to travel to for the experience. Honestly though they are nothing special. Just your average sushi joint. Nothing to special about it. Sushi burrito review: Honestly it’s a sushi roll not cut. Not saying it’s bad, it’s just nothing special.

This place is definitely not my first pick. Nor my fifth or sixth. I’ve been here twice for a family event. That is the ONLY reason I was there a second time. The service wasn’t very great. When we got there it wasn’t very crowded which is when it seemed to be the worst. When it seemed to get more crowded it seemed to have improved slightly. The food wasn’t the best. The thing I enjoyed the most was probably the crazy beef(appetizer) and the salad that was brought out towards the beginning. But honestly there are many other sushi places I could go to that are better and cheaper and if I wanted could put together a better salad at home if I really want one. I had the flounder and it wasn’t my favorite thing. Tried my friend’s meal as well. Again, not the best. Overall I’d much prefer to somewhere else for Asian fusion especially for the price. Also if you don’t like a loud atmosphere for dinner, just forget about this place.

We’ve been living around the area for about two years and just discovered this hidden gem! First of it’s BYOB, so you can save some $$$$ with bringing your own booze. I usually sit at the bar to see all the actions. Service was excellent and consistent. Although, there was some part of my first dining experience where I felt rushed by the server, but it was nothing major. They have awesome food both sushi and their Thai or Chinese dishes. With that being said, why don’t I share things not to order since there’s really not many. Don’t order the following: Salt and Pepper Pork Chop, the meat was super thin and there were barely any meat on them. There were a lot of breading. The breader/batter needs to be changed with just normal starch/flour and not mix with any kind of milk powder or whatever ingredient that gives out milky, sweet flavor. Meat need to be thicker and marinated, and all the other components were spot on. Lobster Pandora: the fillings were good, it’s thr wrapper/rice paper that will give you chewiness that doesn’t lend any good to the dish. Roasted Duck w/Fried Rice: duck were crispy and good, fried rice needs more seasoning and flavor. Taste like typical Chinese restaurant fried rice. Be sure to try this spot if you happen to be in the area, it’s worth your time!

Food was very good when we finally received it. We wait 30 minutes for a table then waited an hour and a half for our food. I don’t think I will be going back, I can’t sit that long. It’s too bad BC the food was very good.

My hubby & I were intrigued by the sushi burritos & they did not disappoint! I had the Spicy Shrimp burrito, hold the avocado due to an allergy, and the receptionist was excellent at clarifying each item to meet my needs. Mine was really good! Actually only ate ½ & saved rest for later. Hubby had Spicy Tuna burrito, loved it & also saved ½. Called order in & took about 20 minutes & they weren’t too busy. Very friendly & encouraged us to return. They have done a really beautiful job renovating & have a vast menu from traditional Chinese dishes, sushi & much more – some pretty different! BYOB, which isn’t my favorite, but definitely a spot we will be hitting for dinner soon!

So glad I finally got to come here!(Considering I live 2 min. away). Greeted immediately with well mannered smiles:) We had to wait to be seated so I would suggest making reservations. Well worth the wait. I ordered off of the Thai menu, green curry(vegetarian style) it was delicious! My daughter, a fellow vegetarian, had the zen roll and she was very happy with that choice. My husband had the pineapple fried rice and like us he was very happy with his choice. Looking forward to more visits.

I left Ocean County 9 years ago for a lot warmer weather in Vegas. I was very thrilled that an Asian Fusion finally nestled in Brick since there aren’t too many options around Ocean County versus Vegas. We came in Christmas Eve with a party of six. Oh my, we walked in and they were closing in 30 minutes. They welcomed us with open arms and they were thrilled we knew what to order right away. The menu was pricey but extensive. They have variety of dishes like Japanese, Chinese, and Thai. The food came out quickly and I was very impressed how well each item was cooked. Their appetizers stood out for me. One appetizer had salmon sashi, crabmeat, avocado, and other yummy stuff wrapped in lettuce leaves. Their curry puff was one of the best I’ve had. The lobster with special sauce was also excellent! The service was great and the entire staff waited patiently for us to finish our dinner without making us feel rushed. I can’t wait to come back when I’m in town. Places like this are surely needed locally!

Interesting Asian Fusion with Thai offerings. A very competent staff, and creative management make the restaurant a safe bet for a fairly priced Asian food dining experience. Restaurant is clean, ambiance comfortable, parking convenient, bathrooms clean.
