Really good Cajun/creole dishes. Ettouffe is flavorful, the blackened grouper is zesty, and the crab bisque is fabulous. The chefs are from Louisiana and do a great job. Nice that it’s BYOB as well.

This place is small and cute inside. It’s BYOB which is nice. Most of the food is Cajun inspired. My parents loved what they had. My mom raved about her pork chops. I had the crab cakes. I definitely had better. I was a bit disappointed. Too much breading and not enough crab. Their French fries were good. I would give this place another try because my parents enjoyed their food so much.

It wasn’t bad but I don’t find this place that exciting. Food was fine but could use some work. If I was asked by a friend to go I’d go but I wouldn’t choose to ever go here. For the price it should be better.

I have been to F Cove several times with my husband and always had a good meal. Last night was girls night out and finally got my friend to try. We both started with the crab corn bisque which was delicious as always. I had the crab cake which I really enjoyed. But she had the pecan crusted brown butter flounder which was out of this world. The flounder literally melted in your mouth(she was kind enough to share) and the sauce was amazing. I have to say that was probably the best dish I ever had there. She was really impressed and will definitely be going back and bringing her husband.

A true gem in Brick! There has not been one thing on the lunch or dinner menu that hasn’t been delicious. Next to try the fresh oysters.

My wife & I tried F-Cove last night, but it won’t be the last time! So nice to find a local restaurant that delivers the goods. We both ordered the crab & Jersey corn bisque — «bowlworthy» I call it(when you order a bowl of soup & it’s so delicious you’re glad you didn’t just get a cup). I ordered a dish with crabmeat, shrimp & lobster ravioli that was fabulous — just enough heat without gettin’ crazy, stewlike with this great tomato-based crab-meets-gumbo-style gravy with shallots. My wife had the crabcakes & enjoyed them as well. We both look forward to returning again soon to try some more of their authentic Louisiana fare. A real treat, & practically in our backyard. Very pleasant waitstaff as well.

Our server Marissa was awesome. Appetizers of shrimp cocktail with crab, clams and grilled oysters(VERYGOOD) were perfect. I loved the remoulade. Never had it, was very tasty. I had Parm encrusted flounder. Fish was perfect, I personally didn’t like the coating(it was not bad; just my preference). Came with a very small salad, string beans(my fave) and potatoes. I should have stuck with just a grilled fish. Hubby had the Captains Platter. It was also very tasty. Our son had a cheeseburger, fries and chicken fingers. Very nice experience, great ambiance and a bring your own!

My girlfriend and I had a great meal at the F-Cove tonight. For starters, she ordered the Blue Point oysters and I ordered the gumbo. I’m not a big fan of oysters but, they were phenomenal. I ate two of them. By the way, the gumbo was awesome as well. For entrées, I ordered the Etouffe and she ordered the Stuffed Shrimp. Both meals were excellent. We finished up with some Bread Pudding to split. As full as I was… I had to sneak a few forkfulls. Great meals overall.

Really enjoy this place, the owners are incredibly nice and want you to have a good experience. The crab bisque is great and the food I’ve had was very nice. BYOB which is always a plus. Terrible location as every place that’s been in this spot has had trouble with volume.

From the outside the F Cove looks like a small diner. When we walked in, the waitress had a smile for us and invited us to chose a table. We picked one in the back as it was freezing outside. There’s roughly ten tables to choose from. Jesse brought us wine glasses right away and brought our bottle of wine into kitchen and opened for us, all without us having to ask. Then he asked if we would like a glass of ice water and immediately brought that out as well. Our waitress came over to us each time with a smile on her face. She brought us a loaf of warm bread. Next we each had the house salad. For dinner my husband ordered flounder and I ordered the salmon with dill sauce drizzled on top. We both had new potatoes with our fish. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service. Our waitress was kind and friendly! We were tempted to get the Bananas Foster for dessert but we’re too full to do it justice. Instead of trying to convince us she suggested we come in for breakfast one day as you can have it on your pancakes ~ sounds good

Went here for breakfast and it was ok. The entire family agreed. There was only one server and she did a good job of taking care of all of her tables, but I didn’t want to bother her by asking to warm up my coffee. We didn’t get that warm friendly feeling that I read about in the reviews. The food was ok no complaints and the prices were very reasonable

Delicious food with warm and friendly service. Small business with big flavor. It’s one waitress, Scarlett. And two cooks. Jesse the owner/chef comes out of the kitchen to say hello and check on things. It’s such a family environment with delicious meals.

Great Place , This was my second time there for breakfast and I have to compliment the pancakes, very good. Today I had my usual bacon and eggs home fries etc. Again very good but what is so nice about this place is the owners are so nice and friendly and told me if I wanted to sit outside I could keep my dog with me. That is a nice touch. My eggs done over easy just right the bacon crispy, and the home fries perfect. F-Cove is a comfortable local restaurant, a BYO. I looked at the Lunch/Dinner menu and was impressed and will give them a try for dinner. Only drawback is the location but it is worth finding them and giving them a try.

In response to Scarlet D. I just want to make it clear that I have no personal vendetta against the F-cove and was simply sharing the experience me and my family had the two times we dined there as I have done about many other places. It’s shocking to me that you are trying to make it seem as I have some ill intent or am unknowingly being used as a pawn in some maniacal plot to somehow bring down the F-cove. I wanted to simply share my experience and voice my opinion as I stated before. Just for the record I posted pictures of the message I got from you guys on your photos and you called Unilocal had had them removed. I thought Unilocal was bias and was created for the purpose of allowing the consumer to voice their opinion and share experiences. I’ve contacted Unilocal and asked them to repost the pictures as I feel it was my right to post them as they had everything to do with the F-cove. I feel that I am being harassed by you and whomever else is part of the cooperation of partners. I can’t believe that my sole experience would hurt your business so much as to gain this type of reaction. I stand by all statements I made to be true! Hopefully you have corrected the issues at the F-cove and are giving consumers a better product and better service. Mike

Stopped here for breakfast on the way to Manasquan Beach. We wanted a place with outdoor seating that would allow our dog to sit next to us too and F Cove did. It looked like a ghost town on the inside, which is normally a bad sign, but I think it may be due to it’s location. The best part about the entire experience was our waitress. She was extremely friendly and even brought out a bowl a water for the pup! Above and beyond. Got some coffee and the wife got some oj. Couple of over easy eggs, hot sausage, potatoes and pancakes. The Mrs. got bananas foster french toast, which was really good and came with a breakfast meat(regular sausage this time). The only thing she regrets was not ordering extra foster sauce to drown the FT in because that’s how she rolls… but you can do for $ 2.50. The eggs were cooked perfectly, sausage had a nice spice but not overpowering in heat(some hot sausage can be really spicy) and the pancakes were light and fluffy. The potatoes could have been sautéed a bit longer to achieve that nice crispness, but that was really the only shortfall of the entire meal. The food was good, but the service was easily the best we’ve had in a long time. A++!

Ok. We were looking for an affordable option for brunch on Easter for 11 people. We found the F Cove online; it looked reasonably priced and had 4 stars on Unilocal so we made a reservation. The service was friendly and my F Cove omelet was quite good. Later, I spoke to the owner and he seemed to be very concerned with quality.

So so good. If you’re looking for REALLY good seafood dishes but don’t want to hit the touristy spots and pay a fortune this is the place to come. AND it’s bring your own. The muscles appetizer is amazing as is the bisque soup. My shellfish pasta was so amazing I literally ate everything off the plate. The only thing negative I would say is that it was chilly inside. But granted it was VERY cold outside. I will definitely be going back. So nice to have another option in town and what a great option it is!

F-Cove is new to the area and is a definite must try! A seafood lovers dream however they have something for everyone. The crab fingers app bathed in a buttery, white wine broth were delicious and great for ample bread dunking. The crab cakes were filled with chunks of crab meat with hints of Romano and Old Bay and served in a zesty sauce. I am a HUGE seafood lover but I have to say the bone-in pork chop with the Bourbon apples was easily the best I’ve ever eaten. Super tender and dripping with juices. F-Cove has delicious food, affordable prices and its BYOB, you’d be nuts not to try it! Great new spot in the Brick area.
