Sooooo good!!! Authentic Colombian food. They have legit fruit juices from the motherland and the chicharron doesn’t disappoint. They have soup specials and the portions are HUGE! Reasonably priced for the massive portions. Share an app and a dish, you’ll be plenty full!

Still one of the original Columbian Restaurants around. Prices are still modest for the amount of food you get. You can share some of these platters, especially the special. Typical Platter, Chicken platter and pork chops are certainly my favorite. If some folks can get past the chicken gizzards and necks, they’d absolutely love the chicken soup with the hot sauce :)

Good Spanish food. The service is OK. The girl that takes the orders is clearly under a lot of stress and forgot my passion fruit smoothie so I had to wait longer ok top of waiting 5 mins for her to find which bag had my take out. They don’t deliver !!!

I love going to his restaurant to and getting Milanesa which is breaded steak. The portion is so big that you can almost share with three people even though it is meant for one. Most of the meals come in large portions and the prices are fair for how much food you receive.

Four star food but only a three star evening. Although the restaurant was nearly empty we felt that we were not really welcome. A huge staff standing around doing absolutely nothing. We were given menus and asked for our orders — that was it. No recommendations, no specials, and no warmth. Our meals came and everything we ordered was very good. We tried the Unilocal recommended salmon and the typical platter — both excellent as were the accompaniments. Rice and beans were great. At meal’s end we were given the check — no offer of dessert or coffee. We left disappointed.

I must say the salmon with special sauce is tops, I was told by someone to try this place, and since I trust his suggestion I decided today was the day, I must say he wasn’t wrong with his suggestion the food here is wonderful, I would love to go back and try the steak or chicken, their will definitely be a next time.

The wait here wasn’t too bad. We were seated relatively quickly considering it was Mother’s Day. Once seated, the wait for our server wasn’t too bad either. The seats were uncomfortably close to the tables. The menu had a wide variety of foods. The menu was in both English AND Spanish. So this is good for the Americans that long for Hispanic food but don’t know what to order. The dishes we ordered were large — family style servings. We ordered a steak plate and a chicken plate. Both orders came with a side salad and white rice with beans. The steak came with sweet plantains while the chicken came with a full size salad. The food was very tasty but a little too salty for my taste. Quick service. Plenty of food. Happy family. Good times!

One of the spots to eat in long island. Great food, big portions with a reasonable price. Bandeja Tipica is a great plate with a nice combination of bean, steak, pork, eggs and avocado. Deff worth a try!

Huge portions! Homestyle delicious food. Best Spanish restaurant so far. Colombian I think. Great service. Food comes out fast so I always make a point to tip well. I live in Levittown and I trek out to Brentwood once a week if possible. Pollos y paisa is so ‘meh’ after I’ve discovered Mi tierrita. Their steak is humongous and soo savory. Their chicken is moist and done right with the right seasonings. We usually get the Churrasquia shell steak, chicharron con arepa, chicken or beef soup, side avocado, empanadas, and plantains. The main courses come with rice and beans. I don’t like the beans because I’m not a bean person but everything else is spectacular. Drinks are on point. I get the frothy iced tea with lime is a must have. Trust me, I usually drink tea with no sugar but I had to make an exception for this sweet number. I could eat here everyday for months if I could or maybe have it as a last meal.

Had a craving for Latin food. My husband had been here for lunch & suggested we come here. We really enjoyed Mi Tierrita, a clean and casual restaurant filled with local families. We shared very tasty sangria & empandas for an appetizer, but let me tell you that you should probably skip lunch if you are coming here for dinner. Maybe breakfast too. Portions are huge. Really huge. Gigantic, really. I had the Mi Tierrita platter, which came with pork loin, steak, a quarter of a rotisserie chicken, salad, avocado,& rice and beans. My daughter had a platter that had pork rinds, plantains, egg & steak and rice and beans. My son had a half chicken that came with incredible chicken soup that had tons of chicken, potatoes & cilantro and rice and beans. My husband had tongue, wtih potatoes and, yes, rice and beans! Inexpensive and delicious. Service is nice-wish my Spanish was better. Will definitely be back.

Food is great! Service is fast! Price is cheap and quality is great! Only downside is maybe the place looks kinda old and it seems small. I could care less about that though, it’s the food that matters! Had the meat platter, sausage appetizer and friend had the fish soup. Everything was delicious. Maybe I was just real hungry but the taste really showcased the meats themselves and was properly cooked and full of flavor. Did I mention it was quite cheap? Two people came out with takeout boxes and only costed $ 35 after tax and tip.

Food: This place has good food. The sancocho is fantastic. Décor: eh. Typical Colombian decorations The thing that bothers me the most is the smell of roach spray. It hits you in the face When you walk in. But the good is Good so you kinda force yourself to over look it somehow. Service: VERYSLOW.

Absolutely love this place. Fried pork chop is my fave!!! The portions are OUTRAGEOUS! And the drinks… Yummmmmmmmm! Service can be a little tricky depending on how busy the place is, but that does not stop me. I am a Mi Tierrita regular!!! The prices are great too!

Delicious Colombian food. The atmosphere is very casual and great for families. I had the Typical Platter(Grilled steak, chicharron, egg, corn cake, sweet plantain, avocado, rice and beans) My favorite part of the meal was the chicharron(fried pork rinds). I would love to eat an entire plate of it but I want my daughter to grow up with a father. The steak was the only thing I didn’t enjoy since it was tough. My wife really liked her rotisserie chicken. Come early for lunch because this place gets packed pretty quickly after noon on the weekends. They even have to hire a parking attendant to direct the parking in their lot.

This is the second Mi Tierrita restaurant I been to. The one in Patchogue is second best compared to this place. This is definitely the better one of the two. The bandeja tipica and the chicken platter was great. The blood sausage is to die for. The chicken platter comes with a bowl of chicken soup which was delicious. The meal also came with rice and beans, fries, and ½ a chicken. The chicken typically is dry, but NOTTHISPLACE. It was moist!!! Bandeja was also tasty. This is now my new local go to place for Colombian food.

Quick service, friendly staff! One of my first Colombian spots in Long Island. Ok besides my own home! LOL I love love being here. People speaking Spanish. The restaurant is more of a family oriented. You can have a nice dinner with groups or a few people. Casual. You are here to enjoy your meal so dress comfy! There is a great selection of empanadas, soups, grilled or rotisserie chicken. Steaks… oh I love steaks. No way can I be a vegan. I know healthier and all that… but I refuse! I don’t smoke, I never done drugs… so leave me be!!! LOL Ooh and you must try the fruit drinks. Delicious!!! Passion fruit or granadillas as the Colombiano’s call it.
