Sooo yummy! We came here the first night we got in town and loved it so much that we are having lunch one more time before we leave. This is our new place when we come back to town.

Would love to write a review of the food, but it still hasn’t arrived. Despite being nearly empty, it took the waiter over 30 minutes to get our food order. Now getting order to go. Margaritas are good, though.

This place was great ! Enjoyed the Menudo and Cabrito tacos (Saturday specials) some of the best I have had. The chips and salsa were also very good and homemade. Loved it and will defiantly return for authentic Mexican food.

Great food, great margaritas, enjoyed with best friends. Parking is limited and tricky, but worth walking a block or two!

Went to a party catered by these folks and the food was great. Definitely the best Tex-​Mex in the area!

Overall I’d say it wasn’t an enjoyable experience. To start with the positive the food was excellent. But… We waited close to 20 minutes to order and our waiter was preoccupied talking to his friends who we’re eating.
We had to ask another employee to bring us chips. She made no expression but walked away. She came back and instead of walking around the table and setting down the chips she reached over my fathers shoulder and held the chips over the table until we took them from her and set them down ourselves. She then walked away never even saying a word to us. All this is sad to say because the food was delicious.
To finish our experience, as we were paying for our food our server stood and looked at his cellphone. As I previously stated, this is a shame because our food was delicious. We likely won’t go back.

Great food. Great service. Couldn’t ask for a better place to get authentic Mexican food.

Great salsa. Red and green were both good with small pieces of avocado in the green. Hubs had the beef enchiladas with two fried eggs on top. He loved it. I had shrimp enchiladas. The shrimp were pretty small but tender. Great sauce on top — onion, tomato and green pepper. Service was slow even though they were not busy at all. I think right now they probably have some of the best Mexican food in Brenham.

I have a friend who lives just outside of Brenham who took me here for the first time a few years ago. It’s now required every visit. He and the owner are friends and we don’t even have to order. Bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp stuffed with jalapenos and queso blanco. I don’t know how they do but the bacon is perfectly crispy but the shrimp perfectly cooked and the queso just bubbly melty, with the jalapeño providing plenty of yip to it.
Those who have joined us (it’s a family place, very local, once my friend calls a few people it tends to become a gathering) have had more traditional Mexican fare but they all looked tasty. And so local, don’t expect any of the wait staff to understand what you are saying if it’s in English.
But darn, those shrimp are good!
