Amazing food!!! So many options. The chips and salsa are wonderful. Great service. From yummy appetizers to traditional Mexican plates, as well as steaks, seafood and salad bar. My favorite Mexican food in Brenham!

Margaritas were good. Food was good, though there was a French fry lodged in my rice… Only two tortillas are served with the fajitas… And ordering some extra guacamole? Youll get one table spoon worth! Friendly staff, though at times they are more interested in their own lives than your experience, gossiping across the dining room or singing while aimlessly tending to their own business. Strange experience overall.

Our party of 4 quite enjoyed this Tex-Mex place in Brenham — despite torrential rain, the place was quite well-populated at lunchtime on a Sunday. Chips with salsa — expected, but the accompanying cup of queso was a delicious surprise. Also surprising was the size of the draft Dos XX that solved the problem of deciding whether a single beer would get me through the meal. Food was very nicely done — lean meats, tasty sauces, well-flavored. Menu was Texas-Big. Too bad we only had one visit(I made the best of it with a combo plate that was amazing, if so big as destined to become dinner as well as lunch). Friendly, accommodating service; modest prices — bright, colorful, comfortable, spacious interior. Well done…

{Disclaimer} I didn’t eat here. My Wife and I went here on August 22, 2015 around 8:30 p.m. so says the time stamp on the photo I took. The low rating is from our experience. The floors weren’t the cleanest, the parking a bit tight(although we were in a pickup) and a customer was smoking right at the entrance doors. Additionally when we stood there at the please wait to be seated sign… no one ever seated us. We stood there at minimum five minutes and watched 2 sets of couples be seated. We also witnessed 4 employees gabbing it up by the podium never once acknowledging us. Okay everyone reserves a right to whom they want in their establishment… I don’t believe we fit the bill. It’s what we experienced and hopefully not the norm. My choice however is to write about it and never darken the doorstep of this establishment again.

Best in Brenham for Mexican food. Also the salad bar is really good and always fresh.

Really excellent meal. The tacos AL carbon are delicious. The atmosphere was nice… not too noisy. The food came out so fast. We both sat and finished our margaritas after we gobbled our plates. Busy on a Friday but not a long wait. Really enjoyed our visit. Will return.

We had a great experience. The staff was attentive, the menu was extensive, it has a salad bar and it was a great value! I would recommend the Chicken Stuffed Avocado dinner.
I liked going there at first then the Manger started singing opera very load every time I was in there, that’s when service started getting bad, I had to wait an hour and half to get our food and we had 2 toddler with us so I asked to talk to the Manger to see how much longer but he never came to the table he was at the other table singing, and I have to say not as well as he think he was, even our wait and other staff was laughing at him. I was telling him about the service when I checkd out he got mad, he told me that everyone ask for him .but the point is. Is he a Manger or not so good entertainment.

Based on the aesthetic of the inside, you would say this place probably served Italian food. Theres someone singing opera style, for some reason? It caters to country folks and families. It’s great for them, but doesn’t have enough flavor to be called tex-mex in my book. The food is watery and bland here, including all the sauces and guacamole. I got the chicken enchiladas verde. There wasn’t enough cheese to hold it together, so whenever i cut my fork into it, the chicken slipped out of the tortilla. It was luke-warm when I got it, but all the servers were very polite. The restaurant seems clean. $ 9.73 for a mediocre lunch.

I have had some sort of seafood every time and it is always so good I bring home extra. However… the service is always horrendous the entire staff is rude as all get out and the only escape from the stand-off-ish eye rolling servers is sitting through the management singing bad opera until your brain melts. I usually order take out but since this is my best friends favorite place for enchiladas i get suckered into a bad dining experience every now and again. Also might mention that it is ridiculously expensive.

There are a few things that cause me to declare Los Cabos better than most. One, the place itself. The restaurant is very nice on the inside. Better than we expected before we walked in. Two, the meat. I had the Care Asada and the wife had a dinner which included a taco el carbon. Both were seasoned well, tender and outstanding! The Carne Asada came with a fresh grilled, cheese filled, bacon wrapped Jalepeno(very nice touch), charro beans, a cheese enchilada, rice, tortillas, guacamole/pico and four tortillas. If I had a criticism, I’d have to say that the enchilada was meh. We also tried the«Big Texas Tea» AKA the long island iced tea. It was ok, but I think we will go with a margarita next time around. Oh… there will be a next time. I recommend you give this place a shot and I recommend you go for something grilled. It was really good.

So after living in Brenham over six months, we have yet to find a Mexican restaurant that meets our expectations for great Mexican food in Texas. :(This was our 3rd trip to Los Cabos and I was disappointed once again. The food and drinks were average but what was disappointing was the service. The waiter barely showed up at our table and getting refills on water/sodas was difficult. More importantly, I ordered«The Guadalajara» not realizing there was a Guadalajara Dinner and a Guadalajara Special. :(I wanted the special, not the dinner but did not realize there were two different meals with very similar names. It is very frustrating as I was looking forward to trying their soup and the chicken enchiladas included with the Guadalajara Special. Even more frustrating was that our waiter did not seem to realize it was a mistake and blamed it on me(‘you told me the Guadalajara dinner”). He did not offer to comp anything, even when I did not eat half of it. He offered to replace it but we were already hungry and the rest of our party already had their meals so I wasn’t going to wait to get a new meal since it had taken so long. We arrived after the main dinner crowd(almost 8 pm on a Saturday night) yet I saw problems with our table/order and the table next to us didn’t even get silverware. We won’t be back… if I am going to spend almost $ 100 for us to go out it needs to be a more positive experience than this. :(

Good Texas-Mex place for fajitas or burritos. Lunch special menu recommended. Good food and service with high noise level.

Stopped here for lunch on our way to the coast… we had the tortilla soup and the deluxe salad with beef fajita… both were delicious and eating half of each dish we left pleasantly full… the service was prompt and courteous… well stop by again, if we are in the area… thanks :-)

Service was slow. Barely spoke english. Caesar salad was soggy and over dressed. I ordered a bone in ribeye medium rare with steamed broccoli. it was tough and medium well. The broccoli was old dry and bitter. altogether a terrible experience.

Overall take: An unexpected fiesta in Brenham How we found it: there was no where else open on Sunday for lunch! Type: Casual family friendly Service: gracious and efficient Food: The spinach quesadillas were a huge portion of cheesy, veggie goodness. Cheese enchiladas were good, but nothing special. The piping hot homemade flour tortillas were some of the best we’ve ever had. Free queso comes with the yummy salsa during lunch time. Cleanliness: Good Price: Entrees $ 7.99 and up

The staff is friendly, service is okay, but the food is horrible. The queso was very plain, and wasn’t even completely melted. My entrée came out cold. I ordered the chicken tacos. It tasted like they had made it hours ago, and it was left sitting out. It also tasted somewhat like barbecue which I found weird. My boyfriend’s fajitas also had a barbecue taste to them, but at least they came out sizzling. The dessert was also unsatisfying. I think it was called chocolate explosion. It was chocolate cake with chunks of cheesecake. There wasn’t that much cheesecake, and the chocolate was a little off. Actually, the chocolate crust was the best part of the cake. I will definitely not return.

The place has been packed since the day it opened and for good reason. The restaurant, formerly Purcell’s, underwent a major renovation. The space is pretty impressive compared with the old inhabitants idea of style. There are many choices on the menu. I can only speak to the pasta dishes my wife and I had. I know it sounds kinda crazy, pasta dishes in a Mexican restaurant. Both were good and portion sizes were ample. One pasta dish had a cream sauce base with ziti pasta, chicken, bacon and peas was good, but lacked serious bacon. The second pasta dish had a red sauce, fettuccini, crawfish, shrimp and jalapeño sausage. Both dishes came with a trip to the salad bar. I know, once again, odd for a Mexican restaurant. The staff is very attentive(rare for Brenham) and pleasant. The prices are fair for the quality and quantity of food. Our bill, minus tip, was $ 27 for chips & salsa, two salad bars, and two pasta dishes. Monday nights around 6pm seems to be the best time to visit and still avaoid lines.
