We dropped in on a Friday night and it was packed. I had the special — a crab-stuffed trout with wild rice and baby carrots. It was great! Jill had the lasagne; it was also very good. Be sure to check out the last page of the drink menu. Despite the busy-ness, the staff were very friendly and informative.

Great staff. Good food. They welcomed our family despite us being flustered and dragging our 5 month old and not quite 2 year old along. The place was warm and inviting and I would absolutely recommend it:

Finding a restaurant on a Friday night in downtown Breck can be tough. Everybody has reservations. Even the pizza joints are an hour and a half wait. We felt lucky to walk into the surreal warming hut and find a table for our medium sized group. The décor is classy and inspiring. I wish I had taken a picture of the painted woman on the wall. My buddy swore it was an homage to Britney Spears circa 1996. The service was attentive and cordial. After a full day of skiing, I was quite thirsty and almost felt bad about the number of water refills I had to get to quench my thirst. I decided on the meatloaf. The waitress described it as being one of the biggest meals. She even used her hands to describe just how large the meatloaf was. Everything on the plate was like a home cooked meal. 3 organic carrots over the mashed potatoes were placed just«so». The meatloaf was very tender and had a great flavor. Not salty like many restaurants tend to do. I only wish there had been more. Potatoes are cheap, and I only had a few forks worth of mashed potatoes. The meal on my large plate dwarfed the actual size of the plate. But, I’ll admit, I was super hungry, so this might only be relevant to those that need to carb up for another long day of skiing. My buddy got the chicken pot pie and couldn’t finish it, and if he hadn’t been sick, I would have finished his meal as well. It looked fantastic. Large flaky crust on top of a tall modern bowl. This place is at the end of the strip, which may explain how we got seated so fast. If you’re having trouble finding a place to dine… Go here!

Ambiance: It’s a old Westernesque sort of theme with a prominent bar, wood floors and Western art spattered around the space. It does feel Warm and inviting. Food: It lacks creativity and a culinary theme tying everything together. As a result, it feels like a chain: a little bit of everything for everyone. We had the meat and cheese plate to share. Unimpressed. It was served on a light blue metal carrying tray and had only one cheese, iceberg lettuce and several unique sausages which were the highlight of the platter. Service: That being said, the service was friendly. Since it was dead when we were there I didn’t get an oppotunity to really feel out the caliber of waiting.

Awesome food environment and decent price! Best location for a warming meal after lunch. Please please don’t increase the price.

My wife and I stumbled across this restaurant after discovering over an hour long waits at other nearby restaurants. The restaurant, as the names described, was in a very cozy and warm house(hut). The service was very nice(hostess and waitress) and the food was fantastic and reasonably priced for the high quality. I had the chicken pot pie and my wife had the falafel napoleon. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for dinner.

The beet salad is made with canned beets with zero flavor. The waiter tried to tell us that they were roasted and if there is a family that knows beets it is ours. Just saying … Soup was very bland. Server was good. We tipped him well but others may not be so kind. With all the choices in town we will go somewhere else next time.

Wow. Where to start? Although our reservations were for later in the evening we called and the staff was very accommodating and got us seated right away. 5 in our group tonight. We tried 3 small plates to start. Grilled Brussel sprouts with pork belly, edamame with chili sauce, and the falaphel. Each was outstanding. We were looking at the wine list and the waitress suggested a special of the day. Napa red blend from Hess that was quite enjoyable. Good fit for us as we tend to be cotes du rhone or petite Syrah drinkers. Service was outstanding. Fresh rosemary bread with fresh made butter. Butter must have just made within the half hour. Something so simple was so good when freshly made. Main courses of chicken pot pie, flat iron steak, sweet potatoes with cheese curds were hearty and prepared as you would have expected. Best meal in a week at Breckinridge

This place charges a LOT of money but does not deliver. Just terrible service and very subpar food at extravagant prices. Very big disappointment. The service was just out of the park bad.

Skip this place… Went for brunch and the eggs Benedict, one egg was over cooked(edible so I ate it) the other under cooked(inedible) asked to talk to the manager after the server tried to tell me I didn’t know what I was talking about«that’s how eggs Benedict is supposed to be» and then the manager tried to tell me the same thing. It was a raw egg! He offered to take half off because I «ate half.» I wasn’t looking for a free meal, just eggs Benedict. Table across from us had the same issue. So many other wonderful places to eat in Breck.

We walked, looking for an alternative for brunch after terrible customer service at the Columbine Café. My only regret is not showing up here sooner! My husband had the breakfast tacos and I had the eggs Benedict. The eggs were poached perfectly(and I liked them on the ciabatta!) and husbands food was great. We were so full when we left! The tacos come with chips but he wanted something more breakfasty as his side so he ordered a side of tater tots. We should have asked but maybe they could have offered to substitute for the chips(a small upcharge would have been OK) because what they brought out as the side was almost an entire separate meal, it was a HUGE side! All in all, the food was great(except the tots which were nothing special and didn’t have too much flavor) and the service nice.

Try the falafel lettuce wraps! Oh my God! Heavenly. Avoid the apple fennel slaw, not a lot of taste. It sounded so yummy and I was sadly disappointed. The waitress was a sweetheart and the service was fantastic.

What’s not to like about this place? Right on Main Street, great staff & bartender(shoutout to Ben!) and tasty food make for a good après ski hangout. The décor is nothing much to look at, especially when you compare to Breckenridge Brewery or Ollie’s but Warming Hut is definitely worth a visit if you’re in town for a few days and looking to switch things up. Give their creamy mac & cheese a try, and wash it down with a Moscow Mule, made with Colorado moonshine!

Some people who work here are kind and courteous. Some are not, I had an awful experience with a bartender laughing in my face as I ordered wine. But our server did his best to make our experience as good as possible. Other than that, food was okay. I truly appreciate a good meal, after sampling a few others at my table, as well as only finishing half of my meal, I was less than impressed. There are far better establishments in town that have better food for the price. Fix the bartender and food and you’ve got a great restaurant. Ambiance was cozy and front was quaint.

The wait staff is good. The food is average to a bit above. But all that got a bit wrecked by where we were sat. We were placed at a table in the window. You might say, «oh, that’s neat.» Not really to me. Now, I will give a plus for the fact the was no draft unlike many other establishments in Breck. But it felt a bit like: there’s a party of ten coming in, so we’ll make two four tops into five tops and move this round four top into the window and make it a two top. It really left me feeling like an afterthought, but I know that there were probably other reservations so I did not feel like there was another options. We visited two years ago, and our opinion of the food is about the same. See my husband Adrian H’s review if you’re interested.

Headline: They’ve fixed some things, but problems remain an issue Two years on from my first visit, my wife and I thought to visit again to see if the situation has improved. When I first visited this restaurant, it was a little confused — ambience was eclectic. Now it exudes an upscale but small restaurant. This is a definite improvement. Unfortunately, the food has suffered. We started with the trio of Colorado sausages. Each one was good and made from local game — wild boar, pheasant and elk. They were served on a bed of green and drizzled with a balsamic reduction — enough easily for two people as an appetizer. But they were cold — well, room temperature really. Not what I was expecting and really drove the dish down. Presentation — A+, but execution a solid D. For my entrée this time, I chose the Colorado Chicken Mole. I’m not sure where they got their chickens from, but they are huge. This was easily two peoples worth. The spanish rice — cold. The asparagus(the seasonal vegetable) was ok — nothing special. The chicken itself was a mess to eat — there was just no room on the plate for cutting it. My wife had the prime rib, ordered medium rare. It came out medium and cold. The mash potatoes and asparagus were forgettable. I really wanted to see improvements, but all I saw was an over-priced average restaurant.

This is a quaint, cute, cozy place that fits both its name and downtown Breck perfectly. The food is excellent and the atmosphere, complete with touches like table lamps and fresh flowers, encourage patrons to linger awhile. We were in a vacation frame of mind and started with the tater tots. They were crispy, golden and drizzled with olive oil. Some(possibly accidentally, possibly not) almost ended up in my pockets! The vegan other half got a burger made of chickpeas and avocado that he absolutely adored. There were no leftovers to be had! I had the bison and chorizo chili; the chorizo added a nice kick of spice without being over the top. It was a thin broth chili, which I wasn’t expecting, but very good. We ended with a banana toffee dessert that was incredible! Despite the whipped cream and shortbread cookie crust, I’m choosing to pretend it was healthy(It had bananas, right!?). The service was kind, but a little slow. However, it would not prevent me from going back as we had a great overall experience.
