Riverwalk Center At Breckenridge

This review is for the Breckenridge Craft Spirits Festival that was held here. We went to the tasting event on Saturday, October 6^th 2012. A great event with a lot of local distillers sampling their craft. For a $ 20 fee you could sample probably almost 20 different distillers and also enjoy cheese, salumis, and bread to slow the roll that all that sampling is bound to deliver. Def won’t miss this next year if at all possible.

I saw the «Music of Hollywood» show there and thought it was pretty good. I am not a huge symphony guy but they did a really good job keeping my attention and they played the theme songs to Indiana Jones so that helped. I thought the venue was really well done. You could tell that they didn’t use the fanciest or most expensive materials to build and finish out parts of it but it didn’t take away from the experience at all. Also, the people taking tickets and showing people to their seat s were extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to people.

We had purchased 4 lawn tickets at a fairly hefty price of $ 122.45 to the Lyle Lovett John Hiatt show. Not only could we not see them at all, not at all, not even lights. It was like looking into a cave opening, add to that we could not hear them either. They had these projector screens set up. There is a reason that drive in movies start after dark. For the first 20 min of the «show» you could not see the image on the projections screen. So we could not see them or hear them. This is a concert? After a bit the sound got better but we never could hear Lyle Lovett when he was talking. I assume that was to be a part of the show as well?
Had the event been free it would have been fine but for nearly 30.00 a ticket it was a huge disappointment. We felt rather taken advantage of.

The new structure at the Riverwalk Center is great. It still has that outdoor feel to it.
