Beware… cash or checks only, no credit cards!!! Scrambled eggs, raisin toast and potatoes were very dry. Portion sizes and the service was good.

I HIGHLY recommend eating here! I went with a group of three and had about a 5 minute wait before being seated. The environment is extremely cozy and inviting with window views to the mountain. Our waitress, Jen, was informative and sweet as could be. She recommended the Chorizo Huevos and it was BOMB! We also got homemade biscuits and gravy they will take you back to eating at your grandmother’s house. If you are in BRECK and looking for a great meal and friendly, prompt service, Blue Moose is the place for you! Cheers

Awesome breakfast! The Chorizo Eggs Benedict is AMAZING! It gets crowded but well worth the wait.

Only drawback is that they don’t accept any major credit or debit cards. I can understand refusing AMEX but not the others. ATM on premises. They do accept out of state checks. Hate to premise a positive review like this but c’mon Blue Moose, it’s 2016. Did a family breakfast before skiing. No wait during peak season. Menu extensive. Something for everyone. Prices good, portion size excellent. Coffee and staff amazing.

Ate breakfast here. Very average pancakes and scrambled eggs. Tough steak. Don’t understand the hype.
Would not return. IHOP in any city beats this.

Our Breck ski group ate here on our last morning in Breckenridge on our way back to Denver. After reading the reviews on Unilocal I wasn’t too excited about going, but I was overruled by the majority.
This restaurant is cash only (there is a sign on the door) but they do have an atm inside if you are out. We walked in on a Monday morning around 11am and the place was packed! Somehow they were able to seat all 9 of us as soon as we walked in. Our server was phenomenal! She was courteous, quick and accurate. She even divided our check by couple!!! If I had to rate this restaurant on service I would give it a 4.
The food on the other hand was a 3 ½. I had a traditional breakfast plate of scrambled eggs, bacon, and French toast. The French toast was tasty and the bacon was good, but the eggs were overcooked. My boyfriend had a breakfast burrito and he said he really enjoyed it. Based on that and the customer service I am rating this restaurant a 4. Go try it out and let me know how it goes!

Really good food, salsa was especially good. Staff was friendly and service was quick.

Breakfast here is craaaazzzy good! Love the fresh squeezed OJ. Had the steak and eggs. All was delicious.

Good breakfast place in Breckenridge. Make sure you bring cash. Typical breakfast food their specialty is pancakes, but they weren’t great.

Perfect just before a long day of snowboarding! Go early if you don’t want to wait to be seated. Cash only is the only hiccup, but they have an arm.

Great service. Fast and fresh food. I got the moose omelet. Yum! Would definitely recommend!

The food was great and the portions were huge. Kids both had bagel egg sandwiches and adults had Moose omelets with coffee. Nice and friendly wait staff even though they were slammed. They only accept cash, but they have an ATM inside.

What a great place to have breakfast in Breckenridge. All of the food we had was amazing! I really enjoyed the French Toast with cinnamon Rasin bread.
The menu was large and the prices were great. Not to mention, the bathrooms were clean. (Nobody ever wants to eat at a place where the bathrooms are dirty)
I will definitely make sure I stop here regularly.

This is your typical «diner.» Very charming, very friendly employees from the host to the server. Definitely thought I was hungier than I was and ordered ample food. I had the eggs, bacon, pancakes and home fries. Pancakes, home fries and bacon were standard and good. Eggs were not the best. Husband had the SSM (?) which he said was very, very good. Overall, was pretty much what we were expecting and would return again.

The services is painfully slow but the food is pretty good. They were out of gravy by noon — booooooo. Had to settle for steak and eggs. 6oz steak, eggs and pancakes the size of a frisbee. Not too bad on price either.

Loved this place! Hearty portions, tons of options, really tasty, and easy if you’re gluten free. I had a western omelet (on point), my brother loved the rosti, dad loved the steak omelet. The eggs Benedict also got great reviews.

Blue moose, not sure where the name comes from, but their breakfast really hit the spot. Looking for another local joint to try, we stumbled upon a mass of people at 8 am, usually a good sign for restaurants… we hit a winner here.
Breakfast and lunch are all they do here, and they do it well. Plenty of seating us of the patio kind, but inside also has lots of seating. We were immediately sat, even though the places looked packed, we were glad, because we were hungry. The place has all the breakfast favorites, plus several Mexican influenced dishes, chorizo, tortilla, and salsa make great breakfast combinations. We ordered, and it seemed like 5 minutes later the food arrived. Everything was made as requested, but the bacon and chorizo were especially tasty, not sure why, but it was very good. Eggs are eggs, that’s why breakfast with a twist is always good… give blues moose a try, it’ll start your day off right.

Awesome awesome place for breakfast! It’s one of our favorite places. Nice people, good food, large portions. What more can you ask for?
