I am a mother of a 2 year old with a demanding career so my «me time» is non-existent. We got lucky to have a sitter over the weekend and my husband and I decided to get in the car and just go! We have never been to Branson so we said… why not. We reserved a room at this hotel specifically because I wanted to relax out on the balcony in the evenings and it looked nice online. When we arrived the staff was nice enough. As soon as I walked in the room, however, I just wanted to cry. We drove 7 hours for a small dingy musty room. The view from the balcony was of several shopping carts(which were still there when we checked out) from the Walmart next door and an abandoned lot overgrown with weeds as tall as myself. I encountered a very thick spider web underneath the headboard but no spider that I could see… and believe me I looked. Grasshoppers kept finding their way into the room taking up residence on the wall. The bathtub would fill up with water when the shower was running so you had to stop the shower long enough to let the water drain. The only vending machine was out of order. The hallways had a musty smell. We got locked out of our room twice. The second time was in the evening and they asked us if we had planned on going out anymore. If so we would need to have someone from the front desk open the door with a master key upon our return each time. This is not how I wanted to spend my only time away this year in that room. I never spent one second on that balcony I so desperately wanted. We stayed there 2 nights and it cost us $ 316.96. I’m kind of devastated about my only time away being spent here.

To be fair the following morning we talked to the manager on duty and we were giving one night’s stay credit. To housekeeping who say we left the do not disturb sign in the door. Yes it was there until we left the room at 10AM that morning. We were gone all day and plenty of time for someone to come back. Shame on you for trying to blame someone else because you forgot to go back.

Comfy bed and pillows, standard HIE breakfast, but I have to say this hotel fell a little short of my HIE expectations. Small rooms, PACKED breakfast area, small parking lot, bad smell in hotel hallways. I guess I would stay here again if I had to, but I’ve stayed in much better HIE.

My family stayed for the weekend at this establishment, we had a truly wonderful experience. Every member of the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful no matter what our needs. The location is right on the strip, the rooms are updated and clean. The general manager always greeted us in our comings and goings. We will certainly stay here the next opportunity we get!

This was our third stay at this Holiday Inn Express, it as been remodeled, at least he lobby has. We travel thru Branson once a year and will always stay here, even after looking at the other Holiday inn in town. Staff is always friendly and with being a gold member, we were upgraded to a suite, which was wonderful! The bed was a little hard, but we are a true priority club member and will be back next year, probably with friends this time!

Let me first say that I have traveled extensively and have stayed pretty much exclusively at Holiday Inn hotels, they have a great bonus rewards club. Now for THIS hotel. This is probably the worst I have stayed at in the country. When my Father-in-law passed away I booked a 1 bedroom, two bed suite for us and the kids who are now grown. My sister-in-law had booked separately using my card(For the purpose of accruing more points). By the time we got to the hotel, our suite was no longer available. They tried to correct this by giving us two adjoining rooms for the price of one(The ONLY thing they did right) Both rooms were absolutely filthy. Neither had microwave or fridge as promised, the air conditioning was very weak, the desk blocked the doorway between rooms and both bolt locks to the outside patios were broken. The shower was filthy and it was very difficult to get the water temperature set. At most every Express hotel I have stayed at, you have the USA Today newspaper at your door when you wake up in the morning. Not only was it not there, they were gone by the time I made it don for breakfast at 7:00AM. I was in the breakfast area before they opened the next day to find that the entire hotel only get 10 newspapers delivered to them. It was explained at check-in that my sister-in-laws room and ours were to be billed separately and two separate cards were used when we checked in(Hours apart). We were assured that they had it taken care of. The bill was screwed up beyond belief and is STILL not correct after two and a half weeks of haggling with them. We were in the area to bury my wife’s father and this facility did NOTHING to make an already horrible situation any better. I could not imagine coming to the Branson area for vacation and staying here. There is nothing worse than paying over $ 100.00 for a $ 45.00 dollar room! Stay away from this Holiday Inn Express, this is NOT indicative of their chain!!!
