Not sure why this place has super bad reviews… Service we got was attentive and great, we were able to get the price down a little bit, and were pretty much in and out. I will say that we didn’t have our couch delivered, which seems like most other reviews’ problems. We went there and hauled everything ourselves, saved $ 150 and the potential of getting the wrong stuff delivered. The couches are decent for what we paid, no defects, and looked pretty much like what we saw on the showroom floor.

This Regency Furniture has a large warehouse and floor selection of furniture. They also own Marlo Furniture. Their prices are fair. Often Regency Furniture has huge blow out sales that challenge their competitors. During these sales it’s mayhem, crowded and very hectic inside the furniture store. Several deals are negotiated between sales person and consumer. Beware! Please be sure you get whatever the sales person negotiated with you in writing and confirm it is correct. Some of the prices that the sales person give are not authorized by the store managers. In addition, during these huge blow out sales, there are visiting sales people coming in from other area stores to handle the volume of people that the big promotional sale. In September I was drawn to their advertisement of 50−80% sale off their close out inventory. I was so proud my negotiated deal on a dinning and bedroom set with a store manager. We hand-shook on the deal and the sales person wrote up the invoice. I got a black and white dining set with a glass table and SIX chairs. However when the delivery came I only had three chairs. What dining set comes with three chairs? Odd. The sales person and I apparently didn’t know that one chair has two parts, so on my paperwork I saw«3-backs &3-frames» I thought that was a total of SIX chairs. Although I was under the illusion that I paid for six chairs in my dinning set with the negotiated set, I have no proof of this and since the sale is over the prices went back to normal where as it looks like I only paid for three chairs. The redeeming quality is the way the store manager treated me yesterday with patients, concern and addressed my dissatisfaction with the delivery. I was able to purchase three more chairs which was an unexpected cost, but at the managers and sale discount. I think?! In closing, there is an enormous selection of furniture at discount prices, however review your paperwork carefully and ensure you are have in writing what you negotiated and when your delivery is made ensure the furniture is not damaged or missing any pieces. I recommend taking a picture of the floor model because it could be a couple of months before the make your delivery from the warehouse. You may forget what your furniture looked like or how many items was ordered by that time.

This place is awful. I’m getting the run around already about furniture I paid for in FULL and lying employees. Thank God I only ordered one piece from this trap. Stay away from this place!!! Updates to come.

One word — ABYSMAL! There should be a zero star for places like this. If you’re looking for customer satisfaction and accountability then DONOT go to this place. Despite numerous poor reviews, I took a chance and went there to buy a bed. I paid extra for a bed with a drawer add on but somehow the sleaze sales rep screwed up the transaction such that on the day my purchase was delivered, I ended up with an incomplete delivery. When I realized it, the delivery crew wouldn’t wait and drove off while I was trying to sort it out with the rep on the phone. So, I went back to the store only to meet with the most useless manager I have ever encountered who had the look of someone who not only hated his job but his life as well. It was their mistake and this douchebag of a manager did not care. He insisted that if I wanted the drawer, I would have to pay another $ 100 delivery charge! Needless to say I was livid. I decided to drive to the warehouse in the back of the building myself to see if I could transport the drawer in my car and this is were the story takes a turn for better. The warehouse manager was so understanding and assured me that the item would be delivered and installed for me. I wish I could remember his name. Sure enough, a little over a week later, I received my drawer and I was pleased. So while story ends well, it took more effort then necessary. We live in a world customer centric world and this place doesn’t get it. I will never in my life make a purchase from this place again and wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.

This store has the worse customer service ever! We bought a bedroom set from this store. Three weeks after we bought it, the mattress broke. We called the customer service line for two days – no answer, no answering service. My husband had to go to the store to submit a service request. We were told that someone would call us with a repair date. No call came. My husband returned to the store and was told that the woman who was to call got fired that day. We were told again that someone would call us. No call. My husband called again. The phone rang through him showering, dressing, and driving to Waldorf. He arrived to the store and showed the manager how long he had been calling and«crickets.» We were told that someone would call us again. No call. That was yesterday. I suspect that this is a ploy to allow the store warranty to run out so that they will not have to replace the mattress. I will NEVER. Buy anything from Regency again.

We took advantage of Regency’s liquidation event and found a nice couch and love seat at a really good price. They had it in stock so we were able to take it home that night in our truck. A couple guys loaded it for us and that was really quick and convenient. Regency has so much furniture to choose from. Word to the wise– measure your doorways before purchasing furniture! We had to take the legs off the couch to get it through the door, which wasn’t a big deal, but may be to some. Be aware of their policies. You are expected to inspect the furniture before leaving and sign a form stating you did so. They also weren’t accepting any returns during this event… only merchandise credit. If you are having any furniture delivered they do not take responsibility if anything goes wrong. So just be aware of their policies and read the fine print. Overall it was a good shopping experience. There were tons of employees offering assistance and we are happy with our purchase!

Worst furniture purchase experience of my life! Just to give you a taste of my experience: One of the pieces of furniture I received arrived with some damage — I suspect they sold me a ‘floor model’ at full price. I wanted to return this for a refund and they refused. Another piece of furniture, a bed frame, is of extremely poor quality — Walmart may have offered better quality for a cheaper price! The delivery men were rude and did a very poor job of assembling my furniture. I found screws all over the place and they left a mess all over my apartment building hallway and elevator. When I called to complain I was told a manager would return my call shortly…7 days later no call. I contacted the comany again via the website and finally received a reply from a manager. The company never resolved the problem. I will never shop here again!

Today was my third or fourth time going to Regency Furniture. And every single time I go I am treated with a tremendous amount of respect. The staff is ALWAYS courteous, professional and personable! Don’t believe the hype about them have sub par furniture. That is not true. Well it is, but they have much more than that! The prices can’t be beat! If you’re in the market for anything furniture wise, stop here FIRST!

believe the bad reviews! the sales people lie to you about the delivery date to make a sale. i was told 7 – 10 business days. its been 6 weeks and then they delivered the wrong item and i have to wait 2 more weeks. they don’t call back or follow-up. horrible. no apologies for their incompetence. bad customer service!!! scammers they take your $$ and don’t care at all what happens after that. i hope you all see this review and change your business practices. customers deserve to be treated honestly.
