I love this store! Everyone is always so friendly ecspecially the girls in the cosmetic department! I love going to see angel and deb at Lancome they always take good care of me and show me the latest makeup tips

It took me a while to write this, but here I go. I went into Lord & Taylors, where I bought my wedding dress from, and went to get it tailored. When I put on my dress in the changing rooms, the tailor came in to start my fitting. She takes one look at it, and says «Your dress is too tight. Sorry!» and walked out of the room.
I know my dress is tight, but I still need it hemmed and the sleeves fixed… and I have another 6 months until the day. It was such an embarrassing situation, it makes me scared to ever go back. I don’t think I will be getting my clothing tailored there again, and will be searching for another tailor.

If you ever shop a Lord & Taylor avoid and run from BCBG, ASHLEY lacks social skills & must have been off her meds.
I had purchased several items of clothing from BCBG department at Lord & Taylor as Christmas presents for my 2 girls. They did not like everything I bought and I had to return 4 pieces. I went this afternoon to the L&T in Braintree, As soon as I got there 3 sales people, welcomed me (sarcastic), I showed my receipt and the clothing with the sales tag. The sales person on the left asks in tone that clearly indicating frustration as to the reason for why the return (I am sure I was not the only one returning) but I was a little surprised at her tone, I responded sizing and taste. The one in the center starts looking over my 2 receipts, & matching the items to the receipts. She throws back a pair of paints, tells me she is not taking that one back, I asked why & she says it only has 1 tag on it, I did not understand how many tags do you need, it seems that at BCBG you need 2, even though it was plain to see that they had not been worn & the receipt was there. I started to explain that this is how I had purchased it in Boston, rudely she tells me to go back to Boston, & that she did not have to take any clothing back because she did not like my attitude, my daughter asked what attitude and she says questioning me about why I wont take an item back is an attitude, I had been calm and polite all this time, but I was reaching my limit, I said are you threatening me? I want a manager and she then informs me very smugly that she is the manager, I asked for the manager of the store and she informed she was the store manager, and that if I said one more word she was going to call security. I could not believe my ears, my husband whispered to me not to respond just to let her process the 3 items, the person on the left was the one that processes returns. I ran to the next counter, asked the t call security and the store manager, Yes I did tell them what happened the store manager was shocked did not know what to say, apologized he did offer me a $ 20.00 coupon, but I really was uncomfortable being in the store. It was a most unpleasant experience to be made to feel that I am at her mercy because I wanted to make a return.

I am a woman on a mission. Very sparkley dress is the tall order that needs to be filled. I decided while putzing around waiting for my older sister to meet me that I would start to try on some of my dream dresses. Their selection of cocktail and evening gowns is out of this world. I was also pleasently surprised to find that they had size 14 in the mix which made giddy that I would actually be able to try on dresses that would fit. As much staff as they had on hand no one hounded me which I loved. I tried on two beautiful dresses. One is a contender for the holidays. But I can’t commit yet.

I quite enjoyed shopping at Lord and Taylor. They offer preppy classic formal clothes that bode well at the office. While the clothing is expensive, it is not as expensive as other designer places such as Neiman Marcus or Saks Fifth Avenue. I usually only shop here once I have received a coupon via email since that knocks the price off items a fair bit. When my Dad visited me, we went on a huge shopping spree for men’s clothes and I can only rave about Taki in the men’s department. He helped us find the best deals and we got designer suits for $ 200 only. Of course it helps that they were having their big biannual sale at the same time. We also found beautiful shirts, casual pants and sweaters. The store gets new inventory quite often and generally shopping for winter clothes in the spring lands the best bargain. Parking at the mall is relatively easy and the store is open quite late which is a definite plus.

I am a fan of Lord & Taylor. Pieces are classic, good quality, some are pricey, but L &T often sends coupons and has great sales. The sales professionals are always helpful unlike some department stores. The store offers consultations. The store also offers tailoring services. I am quite the bargain shopper and I have gotten quite a few deals here on designer wear. It is not just your mother or your grandmother’s store anymore. They have quite the selection of young, hip clothing. I think that it is step down from Nordstrom, but I love that sales professionals remember me and assist me while I am shopping. Parking is also a plus.
