How is this place still in business?! I can tell you with 100% certainty that the only reason they are still afloat is because of the functions they continue to sell(for some reason) and the certificates they sell for super cheap and people think they are getting a good deal. The food is disgusting and everything is frozen, not fresh. You’re better off going to Applebee’s. Stay far, far away and DONOT buy the GC.

I recently hosted my soon to arrive granddaughter’s baby shower at Granite Grill FX and I cannot say enough about the service, set-up, food and attention we received. It was SUPERIOR all around. The manager, Joseph, was extremely attentive and personally saw to all our needs. Everyone commented on the food, the atmosphere and the professionalism of the staff. If you are planning an event I highly recommend Granite Grill FX, you won’t be disappointed.

I went to Granite Grill for dinner with some friends. Although the wait staff was friendly, we soon realized that we were not top priority as she informed us there there was a large party/function expected. It took a few minutes for someone to seat us. Then, it took too much time for our order to be taken and for our entrees to arrive. When they did come, we were served the wrong dinners(this is when she told us about the large party). Thanks for the WELLDONE tuna steak. Unless you are booking a function with Granite, dont expect ANY level of service. Bottom line — they are only interested in getting the big dough for functions. My advice, skip this place.

FROZENFISH… OOPS! I was in the mood for fish, and asked about both the Fish and Chips, and the Baked Haddock. Server told me they are both frozen. This might be alright at Red Lobster, but certainly not in an «upscale» casual restaurant. I settled for Spaghetti and Meatballs. The meatballs are monstrous in size, but just average in taste. The red sauce is average in taste as well. Pretty busy on a Saturday night, so they are doing some things right. Menu prices are reasonable.

I ordered the chicken ziti broccoli, and it was very bland. The pasta had no taste, even with the Alfredo sauce. My boyfriend ordered the prime rib with mashed potatoes and beans which was decent. We went with a certificate, which I’m glad we did, because it would not have been worth it to pay ~$ 49. Our server didn’t have any emotion when talking to us. She never refilled our water, didn’t clear our appetizer plates when our entrees came out(she put our entrees on the side of our table when our appetizer plates were empty and did not take a single thing off our table until she handed us the bill) and there were no other tables the entire time we were there. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My hubby went in here to meet a colleague at the bar and though dressed professionally was treated rudely. The hostess was pleasant and said he could go check at the bar. The manager however treated him very rudely and the colleague and my hubby ended up leaving. I had never been there though we had talked about going there some night for dinner. Now that I know management is not customer-centric, there is no way I would go. I worked serving the public for years in food service management and that is completely unacceptable and unnecessary. In reading some of the other reviews, it is clear that he is not the only one who feels this way. Maybe with a change in management, I would reconsider…

I had a bereavement luncheon at Granite Grill recently and if I could give it 10 stars I would. Joseph, the functions manager, was an absolute angel in helping us prepare the function. We were in a fog and the minute we sat down with him, he lifted all the stress of dealing with the details from our shoulders He said it was his job to help us and not to worry about anything. He was very calm, laid back, but has such a soothing personality. We knew immediately that we wanted our function there. He provided us with a menu to choose from and all we had to do was call in the choices two days before the function. The hard part was trying to determine how many people would be attending but he had it all covered. He knew exactly what to do. They have a private room which is what we wanted. And, the food was excellent. No detail to service was left undone. I highly recommend Granite Grill and my special thanks to Joseph for his thoughtful and caring personality. P. S. I called some other places and the experience was cold and very business like, all they cared about was how many people.

I don’t know why they get such low ratings from people. We tend to use this as a meeting place for our friends who live in different towns. It’s easy to get to and you can make a reservation and like last night there were six of us, we had a round table which makes talking in a group much easier. Not one complaint on the food or service. The only negative was the piano was so loud it overpowered the room. We sat there talking and were never rushed to leave. They do a lot very right here!

My husband and I tried Granite Grill over 8 years ago and we were so disappointed. Recently, I was given $ 25 from and decided to try this place again. Horrible! I usually do not like to criticize a place, but the food was awful! First of all, the waitress has this frown on her face all night, made the mood a lil uncomfy. Then, our 2 appetizers were 1. oysters=bad stinky oyster that I had to spit out. 2. clams & mussels Messina= tasted bland and couldn’t see the mussel at all. Hubby had to use his phone to shine on to look for the mussel, but it was just a piece of string. All of them was like that. For entrée, I ordered the scallop with risotto. It was bland, risotto dry and scallop was not fresh(frozen), and pale. I love scallop, but couldn’t eat anymore. Looks like all seafood dishes there are terrible. My husband said his lamb was decent. And, my son’s fries was good(can’t go wrong with fries though). We are never going back here again, unless there’s a new chef and fresh seafood. On top of that, they had the sound on for every time someone enters or leave the door, and it was so annoying. Definitely my worst experience ever.

We waited a while for pretty much everything. Some people in our group got bigger glasses for their drinks and some got smaller ones which was odd to me. The food was bland and not worth the price. I don’t think I’ll go back.

This restaurant was suggested by hotel staff. We went on Father’s Day. Should have taken notice that it wasn’t crowded. The service was terrible. One couple who came in after our group had their dinner before we had our appetizer. Food: fair. The caprice salad was swimming in a gelatinous mess-no basil on it. The lamb chops were over cooked for medium rare. The one good thing was the took off appetizers from bill after complaining & heavy hand for one of our groups after dinner drink.

I came here for a bridal shower. The staff were amazing, set up the tables before we arrived so our decorative setup was as much of a breeze as it could be. They were attentive and asked us if we needed drinks and were prompt with the orders. I’d say that’s a win-win. The food was tasty too. It was set up buffet-style. Caesar salad, rice pilaf, chicken Marsala(out of this world, OMG that sauce!), breaded fish, and roasted veggies. Before they set out the food, they had a fruit salad for the group too, which was a nice pre-lunch snack, especially paired with a mimosa. If you’re looking for a good venue for an event or a lunch, this spot was great. The space was beautiful and we felt separated from the other things happening that afternoon and the staff and manager were right there with everything we needed. Kudos!

Gluten free menu small with bland protein choices, chicken unmarinated and unseasoned tasteless, thankfully gluten free doesn’t have to be this way! Waitress totally without knowledge or inclination to help.

My husband and I were out shopping with our two daughters and decided to grab a bite to eat here where we were done. I had not heard much about the Granite Grille and I was excited to try a new place. I wish I had gone somewhere else! It took someone 10 minutes to even approach the hostess desk when we arrived. Granted, we were dressed for shopping, but we were not sporting sweat pants and flip flops or anything. Once we were seated, the waitress came over with bread and a roasted garlic hummus. No plates… so we were forced to used our napkins to put the bread on. It was difficult to eat it as we were not brought over any water. Eventually the waitress came back to ask if we wanted a drink. I ordered a moscato and my husband a martini. The waitress came back to let me know they ran out of moscato. Whatever, just get me a diet soda. I also asked for more bread and a glass of water. The waitress brought over my water(but none for the rest of the table, I guess she didn’t get the hint that we didn’t get any water…) Our drinks took 10 minutes to get to the table. The dining room was 2⁄3 empty, so the service is not reflective of a harried waitstaff. When our drinks arrived, I ordered an appetizer and the waitress was off before my husband could even get a word in.(He also wanted to order an appetizer). He tried calling to the waitress as she walked away but she didn’t acknowledge him. Once she brought over my water, we let her know we also wanted to order fried calamari. Our waitress really seemed put out by the extra appetizer, but had she asked my husband the first time she was at the table she wouldn’t have had to put in a second order. The appetizers arrived 5 – 10 minutes, which was fine. The calamari was horrible, 70% peppers, 30% calarmari. I ordered the quesadilla, which was bland. For entrees we ordered the rib eye, which was underseasoned and over cooked. Nothing I would rush back to order. The rest of my family had the rack of lamb, shrimp scampi and shrimp and feta risotto. The lamb got rave reviews, the pasta dishes were good, but not spectacular. Food was decent, but not good enough to warrant the bad service we received. The waitress seemed almost surly in her interactions with us. Highly unlikely we will be back…

My husband and I had a date night last night but our two restaurant choices had over an hour wait. We wandered up the road and found Granite Grill. It was moderately busy but we were seated with a minute or two. We were less than impressed. Our waitress had ZERO knowledge of the menu she was serving. My husband started with 6 Oysters. They didn’t provide a minonette which is standard with oysters. When he asked about it the waitress said«I don’t know what that is, here’s some cocktail sauce». Oysters were not good — they had no brine at all. His entrée was the Pompette Pasta with 2 «½ pound meatballs». That arrived and the pasta was dry, sauce was spared, and the meatballs were mosty a loaf of bread with some ground beef on outside. I had a Cosmo and it was mediocre. Nothing to brag about. My entrée was the chicken Picatta, an old classic so I thought how could it be bad. It was terrible. Overly lemony with no other flavor to it. I’d recommend waiting the hour at any other place in the area before going to Granite Grill.

The food used to be good they are either under new ownership/cooks or I came on an off night. Based on recent reviews it must be new owners/cooks. Let’s start with the good. We sat at the bar bartenders attentive and drinks were good. That is were the good ended. My husband got the surf and turf special which consisted of steak and lobster tail. He ordered medium rare it came dry and over cooked. The lobster tail was raw! We informed the bartender she quickly took the dish back and apologized. The dish came back with what seemed like a microwaved lobster tail. I guess at least the lobster was now cooked?! My husband rarely complains about food but he he was clearly disappointed. My dosh of chicken Marsala was ok. Nothing to rave about. We rarely get out with 2 kids and to finally get out we were completely disappointed. Will not return; if you like bland microwaved food this place is for you! This only gets 2 stars for the drinks and service.

Not that bad… not that great. The food here is OK. Went for New Years Eve. I ordered one of the specials, when I got it, it didn’t seem what I had ordered, turns out they didn’t have the correct ingredients for the dish. Toasted cheese ravioli, so they subbed with buffalo chicken ravioli… YUCK. The manager tried to fix, but with spinach ravioli, I don’t care for, so the meal was petty much ruined. The waitress was like a wet dish rag. On a good note the Hummus here is awesome!

I come to Granite Grille pretty frequently. I was rather shocked at the service on Saturday when I brought a friend for his birthday. There wasn’t a hostess and one of the waitresses sat us down. She sat us down and we waited and waited and waited. It was not busy at all. In fact the waitresses had nothing to do. She looked at us and then proceeded to find things to do. Its after one of the waitresses saw us sitting there she decided to ask if we were being helped. She told the other waitress that no one was helping us and she just shrugged. I don’t know if it was intentional but I’m not sure if I would go rushing back. There are far too many restaurants to try out in the area for this type of service.
