Oh, hell no. Let me start by saying that I generally go out of my way to avoid a chain in search of a hole in the wall restaurants and are generally pretty excepting of mediocrity, but this was just bad and I couldn’t ignore it My first tip off should’ve been that at noon I was the only diner in the place and in the 15 minutes that I waited for a simple sandwich there was only two takeout orders picked up. My order was a simple caprese panini, which I thought would be pretty safe. What I got was two pieces of stale bread grilled and cold with flavorless tomatoes and a slab of mozzarella cheese that was not even melted. No brush of olive oil, no salt, no pepper, no love. It really doesn’t take much to make mediocre food, and why this took 3 indifferent people 15 minutes I have no idea. I’m not from the area, so I’m not sure if this is the normal, but I can assure you I would never be back for a second visit even if I was. these folks just need to stop spending time having people write bogus reviews and spend that time producing some quality food.

This review has been a year in the making and this place is fantastic. I came here a year ago when I moved to Braintree for a job I started in Boston, and this is the best pizza place I found in the state so far. I had my family come down, and this is the place we went simply because of the reviews. It is family owned and when I first came I met Jay and his dad. Now his dad runs a new restaurant on the cape I heard and I bookmarked it to eat there when I get to go to the cape. But here is why… I’ve tasted probably 6 different kinds of pizza from this place and they are consistently very good. The ingredients run to an almost non-existent crust, and even on complicated pizzas like chicken & broccoli, they cooked the ingredients in perfect timing where the broccoli wasn’t burnt and the chicken wasn’t dry. Which means they add the ingredients at just the right time and don’t throw it on all at once. And I noticed going forward that any pizza I ordered with chicken, like their sriracha chicken pizza, was never dry because it was marinated chicken.(smart). And it needs to be mentioned that the cheeseburger pizza, and the chicken Cesar pizza, both came with lettuce that was not wilted, and which also takes perfect timing to execute. What else needs to be said is that my family and I are from Buffalo and we’re used to a lot of great wing options, and Jay heard us discussing it but not ordering, as we had ordered a few pizzas to try there and then already. So while we were sitting down to eat, he brings out a sampler plate with wings and says we have to try these. And we do, and we can immediately tell this sauce isn’t the canned kind and we ask him about it. So it looks like he gets the original Frank’s hot sauce and he combines it with butter in a separate process(which is exactly what you’re supposed to do, because it gives the sauce not just heat but retains the tang, unlike premixed sauces). So he basically won our stomachs and hearts right there. But wait, it gets even better. I ordered an iced coffee and was first disturbed by the«dirty ice cubes». and so I ask and he says that to not dilute the iced coffee, the ice cubes are made out of coffee!. and apparently its locally roasted coffee and not some grocery store tub coffee, and it tasted the part. And was honestly hard to believe that a pizza place would go out of its way like that. Honestly, to have a pizza joint this good outside of Buffalo is impressive. I miss home, and this place takes me back. Lastly, if I was to knock anything about this place, it would be the fact that they don’t have their name on the building front. All it says is «pizza» and the only way you can notice that it’s even called Wamps is if you look in the windows. And they are the ONLY place in the plaza to do this, which makes them near invisible and made it hard to find if we were not looking for it specifically and using GPS. And that’s the only negative thing I could say. Keep up the great work folks :)

Pizza sucked. Couldn’t pay me to go there. Nothing tastes good. Sauce sucked. Cheese was weak. Crust was inedible. If you like cafeteria pizza this your place. Insult to the name pizza.

Jay & the staff are truly amazing they make great food provide awesome service!!! I love their steak tips, steak and cheese, chicken cutlet subs, fish and chips, fried haddock subs, chicken wings and pizza. Everything is yummy. I’d go here for lunch and they always moved quick for the students at TONI&GUY because we had a busy schedule. Jay is actually a friend to the academy as well and he is a supporter of the students who go there. The pizza shop has plenty of tables so you can most definitely fine in! And there is also seating outside. Their ice coffee has coffee ice cubes(genius)

We got the roast beef sandwich and a meatball with spaghetti a while back. It was a very tasty and tender beef. It came with Fri and onion rings. The were so good. We went back and tried their pizza… oh mine, we got the meat lover and it was super.

Just not that good. Actually gross veal parm subs. I try not to eat at corporate chains but places like this are forcing me to. The floor is greasy and dirty just like their food. Skip this place.

Very disappointed. I order a Greek salad with grilled chicken. The lettuce was entirely iceberg and very skimpy on both the chicken and veggies. They give a very thin, half of piece of Syran bread. The salad was expensive for what you got — over 9.00. I would not go back.

Think someone’s paying out for reviews. No chance in hell this a 5 star pizza joint. Average Greek style pie at best. Been here once, and no desire to ever go back.

Located in a strip mall this pizza place is totally worth the visit. The staff were so friendly and the food we ordered very fresh. The salad was crisp filled with fresh veggies, meat and olives. I loved the house dressing. The pizza was excellent. The crust nice and thin not too thick. There are many items you wouldn’t expect to see on the menu — it’s so diverse. Very casual place eat-in with plastic knives and forks. Take any leftovers in a box home. Will definitely return.

I can’t believe how many stars this place has! I went here on a recommendation and was disappointed. I thought the pizza was average, nothing special. It wasn’t horrible but we definitely would not go back, Papa Gino’s is better.

Great home cooked meals with FABULOUS flavor! Bob is very accomodating. We just had the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes, green beans and DELICIOUS gravy! If you need a nice take home meal with that home cooked taste — this is the place! Susan

So it’s now two years I have been coming here. They have had nearly perfect reviews, but they haven’t interpreted that as an invitation to raise prices. It still looks like a run-down generic pizza joint in a third tier strip mall. The food is better than ever: fresh, generous, clever and fun. And this place is where you want to get New England boiled dinner: last St Patrick’s Day, my dinner lasted for three meals(and I can eat!)

I hired Wamps to cater my wedding at the Whitman VFW. Jay and Keri were very helpful and accommodating. I gave Jay an idea of what I we had in mind and he made suggests and built a tasty menu. Our wedding was a buffet and the display of the food for the wedding«barbecue» was incredible and made for one of the highlights of the day. You could tell by appearance, presentation and taste that they used top notch quality food, took pride in their work and made their food with love. Jay and the staff were exceptional and the service superb. They went above and beyond our expectations. We received compliments from our guests who said that was the best pulled pork they ever had. We giggled days later when we noticed that the Wamps crew had some fun in the photo booth. It really showed what a great group of people they are. we HIGHLYRECOMMEND Jay and the crew at Wamps for your catering needs. Thank you guys! PS You have to try their BLT pizza. YUMMY!

In the area on biz; I’m hankering for a pizza, these folks deliver and my fellow Unilocalers give ‘em a big thumbs up… so bada-bing I’m in! The guy on the phone was really nice, very personable and sounded friendly – I’m thinking hot dog! Off to a good start. I ordered a veggie pizza, no peppers add mushroom and a small Greek salad. Delivery took about 35 minutes. The Greek salad was alright. Iceberg lettuce is my least favorite and this was wilted iceberg not crispy. The pizza was good, loaded with toppings. I would have liked the crust to me a little crispier but I know that can be hard to do on an all veggie pizza. Veggies will throw off a lot of moisture/water as they cook and that contributes to a soggy crust. Plus hot pizza in a steamy box adds another element of moisture to the mix. If I was local I would dine in and give them another try.

This is where I found my hangover cure. The wake up wrap is . Scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese AND home fries in a wrap? Pair it with their homemade hot sauce and you will enter food heaven. And its under 4 bucks. What a deal! It doesn’t stop at breakfast. When I’m trying to be on the healthier side, their caprese panini is yummy yum yum. Fresh tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, & fresh basil drizzled with balsamic vinegar on marble rye bread. DELISH Not to mention the staff is so friendly and accommodating. It has that«family like» atmosphere going on.

We went to Wamps after seeing all the 5 star ratings on Unilocal. For a sub shop the quality is good. The Italian sub was very good and very fresh. Pizza was good for a sub shop, kind of thick and cheesy. The hot dog was very good as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Your food is brought to the table. We recommend this establishment for good quality sub shop type food.

Holy heck — pizza so good, I have to limit my intake to once every two weeks or I fear my trainer might take them down. I work next door to this gem. Jason, Kerry, and Bob have welcome me and my team to the plaza whole heartedly, and we are so appreciative. This care and hospitality is evident in their food — from DELICIOUS pizza(with a perfect greek crust) to savory marinated meat kebobs, and yummy salads. Everything is made fresh in-house so you can really tell the difference. They are open for breakfast, slammed for lunch, and around when I leave the Academy late. They deliver, and are often one of the few places open during one of our famous blizzards. Thanks neighbors!

This review is long overdue, but here goes nothing… I was staying at the Hyatt across from the mall and was starving to find some place to eat, but didn’t want to go to the mall. I found Wamps and the Chinese restaurant right next door. I wanted Wamps, but my friend wanted Chinese so we stopped there initially. After being seated and ignored there I convinced him to leave and go next door with me. THATWASTHEBESTDECISIONOFMYLIFE! The workers at Wamps are so nice and friendly it made me want to stay in Braintree. Lol. The food there was excellent as well. I had a burger, onion rings and the cheesecake. Every bit was delicious. In fact, the food was so good my friend asked them to make a deep dish pizza for him for the next day. They don’t usually make deep dish, but we promised them we’d be back the next day and they happily obliged. Oh yea, the cheesecake was so good I asked to purchase a whole cheesecake. Again, they happily obliged! There isn’t more to say other than I love this store and every time I’m in Braintree I will make a stop here. Luckily I don’t live in the area because I’d probably be eating there everyday and would be as big as a house by now. Don’t let the location of this place fool you(it’s located on the far left side of a strip mall on a road that seems to be never ending that goes nowhere). This place is sooooo worth it!
