What was once the most dependable place to get a good steak in Bowling Green is now absolutely horrible. We set at the bar to begin our visit with a couple beers while waiting for a table. My wife nearly swallows a shard of glass. The manager apologizes and offers to comp us a couple of appetizers. I thought then it was a little inadequate considering the severity of the situation. But was trying to be understanding and for some reason stayed. We then waited another hour nearly for our table. Then proceeded to wait over an hour for our food. The waiter was attentive kept drinks full and was tipped for his effort. However the food once it arrived was fairly awful. I was served a medium well piece of dried up prime rib after ordering rare. It was dry and seemed it had been in the holding oven for days. Overall was very displeased with this outback visit.

The food was ok. Typical outback fair. Wonderful blooming onion, standard chicken on the Barbie, and chicken tenders. Chicken tenders were not all that great, but the front of house manager«Key» showed outstanding customer service and did whatever it took to make things right. The customer service of our waitress Jordan and manager key is what gave this trip a five star rating. Will be back soon to try a steak on another occasion.

Disappointing. Got sat right away. Ordered an appetizer that came 30 minutes later. Ordered food and no food 45 mins later and no check or update by wait staff. Finally asked for a manager and asked to have the other cancelled. He brought our food out no charge to go. I have a feeling our order was never put in. Not always bad but this visit was bad. I will say the manager took ownership in the problem and was very helpful.

Im in Bowling Green, KY on business and saw this steakhouse conveniently located within walking distance from my hotel(review on the hotel to follow). 4 Environment: The location was great and the environment was good. I was expecting country music because Kentucky and Tennessee is very much about country music — to my delight they played pop rock. Medium lighting and nice seating arrangement. It Wasn’t too loud to make a business call. Above average, but not anything. Amazing. 4.5– Food & Service: Allison was my waitress and she was great –she was friendly, fast, and accommodating. I couldn’t decide on a beer on tap so she surprised me with flights of beer, nice touch. I ordered the steak casadilla, it was pretty good. The only issue was that she brought me guacamole that was frozen…, but she apologized and replaced it right away. Overall great service — Great work Allison! Overall I do recommend this location, due to great service! You have just been Unilocal’d Outback Steakhouse! JRaskal

Never again … Cold and not eatable stake, super slow service, cold rock hard garlic bread and a ripe off check with items we didn’t order at the end …

What a wonderful decision to stop here, as we travel south, today for lunch — as soon as our waiter approached our table the ambience was set — such a friendly/warm/personable young man — his smile lit up the place and his personality went beyond A+ Our food was good, prices fair — but the lunch was made perfect by Gavin Thank you Outback for hiring such a special individual — one who really cares We are elderly and have eaten in MANY restaurants as we travel the states — this one we will definitely seek out again Thank you Gavin for making us feel special!

I am only giving one star because the manager was nice enough to give us free appetizers. We had a group of 8. After being seated we waited over 20 minutes for our server to show up but ended up having to flag someone down. It took another 7 – 10 minutes to finally get drinks. Everyone ran out of drinks multiple times. Our bread wasn’t brought to our table until after someone’s salad was brought out. 4 people ordered the tilapia but we ended up with 3&1 salmon. One persons side wasn’t brought out until they had already ate over half of their meal. Our waiter was nice and continued to apologize but there was no excuse for all of these issues. One of the worst overall experiences I’ve had. I will not be back.

This is the first time I’ve been compelled to put something on here but I am beyond dissatisfied with my recent experience at Outback. The servers were having a contest to have the cleanest table — which meant: our drinks were not refilled, were orders were brought incomplete and to top it all off, my boyfriend had a stack of plates dropped on him. At first we chalked it up to an accident, but upon leaving, we realized his shoes were covered in ketchup and food. We simply requested something to clean his shoes but the hostess got the manager involved, who offered(without us asking) to refund the entire bill. My boyfriend called a few days later to inquire about the refund and spoke to a different manager to basically accused him of lying about the situation. Fed up, I contacted the corporate office. Here we are almost a week later and no return calls from the location, no return call from the corporate office, and no refund on our meal. Again, we did not ask for the refund, it was offered to us! The service that night was horrible, the food was not as good as it usually is, and we are completely disappointed.

Staying at the hotel next door, though an Outback would be the perfect choice for a meal and a few beer so I would have to drive, food was sub par and service was even worse, I would rather walk across extremely busy highway than stop there again, so disappointed

What a great evening out! We just moved to Bowling Green and decided to have a treat. Well our best treat was our server Logan! We will be regular costumers with service like that! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was great! We sat in the bar area. That will be the only location we will ask for from now on. Logan a big THANKYOU! to making us feel so welcome to the area. Keep up the GREATWORK! If only every restaurant had service like that! The world would be a Happier Place! See you soon! Oh and the Cucumber Lemonade was the bomb! Give it a try.

On my way through town… Poor service, wrong food, last 2 ounces of the 9 oz sirloin was undercooked and full of grissel(spelling???) and sinew… un-edible. Manager person was too busy chatting it up with a friend at the bar, right next to my table, to notice or ask how things were. I won’t be back. Skip it.

Restaurant was cold during the winter. Burgers are awful, dry, old onions are served instead of fresh. I didn’t like the fries. I usually get them with out salt so they are made to order but yuck. I enjoyed the blooming onion! Service very slow! Update I totally got sick from the food the next day! I will never go back!

The food at this Outback was top notch. Might rival our usual in Los Angeles. The thing is, our server Travis ruled so hard. He makes the best Strawberry Smash this side of North Korea. Even if you’re not in the mood for steaks, just come in and ask for Travis and get him to make you a bad to the bone Strawberry Smash and take the edge off.

Awful! I ordered curbside and have never had a problem until I visited this location! I ordered steaks well done and got them less than medium. I Asked for extra steak sauce for both steaks and got only one cup. No problems with the broccoli. The dressed baked potatoes had almost NO cheese, chives or bacon. The blooming onion, which was really the whole reason we decided to eat here, was soggy! Bland flavor! The girl who brought out the food, had the wrong order and then took our money. Not sure what to make of that! Finally brought out our food and change and then had the nerve to complain that«It’s so humid, I can’t stand being outside» STAYAWAY!!!

After leaving Beech Bend Park, the hubs was craving a blooming onion. So off to Outback we went. We were seated immediately as they didn’t seem to be very busy and our drink order was taken. Our blooming onion came in like 5 minutes after ordering, super quick! After we started eating the onion we realized we had no silverware or napkins to wipe our hands with. The waitress, Paige, came back to refill drinks and I asked if we can get some silverware and napkins and she said«They are rolling some now» Ok cool. See we continue eating the onion and then our food comes out shortly. The server gives us all our food and asked if there was anything else we needed. I, once again, said silverware and napkins please. He brought them immediately. My daughter ordered HOT wings. When she got them they were not hot at all, no sauce on them just fried. I asked the waitress about it and she said she can bring me a side of buffalo sauce, which I was ok with. It comes and its water, I try to stir it up some so my daughter would at least try it and it seemed to have clumps of butter??? in it. Heck, I hope it was butter, the more I stirred the sauce the more the«butter» seemed to melt. Needless to say my daughter was not even willing to try it so she ate her wings plain. Hubbys porter house was cooked perfect and my son enjoyed his BBQ wings. There was nothing outstanding about it, just your typical chain steakhouse.

Not what I expected nor remembered. I only ended up here because the people I was with picked it. Food was ok. Service was awful. Server was nowhere to be found. We were served bread on a greasy bread board and was told it was just water. We were served our meals before the silverware AGAIN(see smokey bones). Is this a «thing» in Bowling Green? I mean B.Y.O.S. Maybe I am to picky, but I don’t go out to eat expecting to eat with my hands.

Been to a number of these around our great nation. The Bowling Green KY restaurant was an excellent experience. Great service, our steaks were perfect! French Onion soup was flavor some and served hot = perfect!, the coconut shrimp was cooked to perfection, the shrimp big, juicy also served hot, with a terrific dipping sauce. So good we ate there two nights in a row!

Both had Sirloin with Blue Cheese Crust… Brother also had Lobster Mac&Cheese… Fast service during dinner rush. Excellent tasting food. 5 Stars for the amusing waiter who took the time to laugh and talk. Took plates off table right away and kept up with sodas. I will back again! I think my brother may have ate 2 lbs worth of food and he commented it was the best steak he ever had.

I like to sit at the bar because the service is faster. That statement did not hold true for this establishment. My food was perfect and really good. It took far too much effort on my part to get those things though. — I asked for menu after waiting for 5 minutes– with 2 bartenders on a Monday night. — After finding both a beer and a dinner selection that I would like I set the menu down and watched both bartenders– being ready to establish eye-contact/smile to let them know I’m ready… Nothing. Another 5 minutes and I said– as the bartenders head was down in front of me–«May I order a beer, please?» without looking up he mumbled something– that I figured was a yes or something similar. I ordered the beer– he finished whatever he was doing and brought the beer– still no eye contact or asking me about a potential food order. Half the beer later he was within ear shot again so I asked«May I order food now, please?» Anyway– that’s pretty much how the rest of the time went. When my food came I asked the runner if I could get one of the rolls that other people got with their dinner. BTW– the dude who sat 3 seats down from me received eye contact, ample service and was even offered bread although he only ordered a salad. And the three loud dudes at the end of the bar were just eating appetizers and drinking cheap beer and they got rolls and lots of attention. It was a wild and terrible experience.

If I could give them a zero I would. Bowling Green’s Outback is the absolute worst. Two years ago my husband and I had dinner there and after we paid my husband forgot to take his debit card out of the check jacket and later that night someone put 200 dollars worth of gas on it. When he returned to talk to the manager about it the next day the waiter claimed he didn’t remember us and hadn’t seen our card and the manager said there was nothing he could do. Right, sure. Anyway, we never returned because we thought that was pretty shady, but this past November we decided to give them another try and that was a huge mistake. Everything was fine until our meals came out. My steak was a bit charred and salty, but I’m not real picky so it was fine, but my friend was really disappointed in the quality and quantity of his steak and shrimp. I have to say they did look pretty pathetic, especially considering how much you pay for them. Well, my friend is a really sweet person, he will apologize for apologizing, but when he saw the meal he instantly said to us I will never come back here and the waitress overheard him and asked him about it. He, of course said it was no big deal, but she could tell it was. A few minutes later the manager comes over and apologizes to him and tries to give him a free appetizer, which was very nice of her, but at this point my friend was embarrassed and told her he was fine and didn’t want the appetizer coupons. Anyway, apparently there was an off duty detective sitting next to us because a little while after the female manager left a male manager came over and basically told us that the detective wanted him to cut off my friend and pretty much that we should finish up and leave. WTF! First off, we didn’t do anything, we have a right to be unhappy about our meals and secondly none of us were being belligerent or out of line. I didn’t have any alcohol and my friend had only had one beer. That was a case of poor management and an obscene abuse of power by the local police force.
