Basic breakfast fare and kind of a hole-in-the-wall feel, but all was done nicely and prices were spectacularly low(we fed three adults and two teenage girls for about $ 30. Service was quick and wait staff was extremely friendly.

This is a must for any stop for breakfast while here. Excellent food, under priced if you ask me and a very efficient and friend staff. Lisa does the cooking and the food is great!

I was passing through town and stumbled on this gem with the sweetest staff, delicious breakfast(I had the 5th Street Special with grits, bacon, scrambled eggs, and biscuits&gravy. Lisa is a DOLL and made me feel like an old family friend.

Super, I’ve stopped in before but this month I’ve gone back a few times. The breakfast is excellent and the wait staff is as pleasant as anyone could expect. Hard to decide if I like the food or staff or prices best… thats how good it is. Good food, fun people and great prices. Hmmm, called for a bigger tip :)

This is perfect hangover food! When you need a big breakfast after a night out, make sure to come and get the breakfast skillet. If you’re not so hungry, this skillet can definitely be split between two people. The breakfast skillet comes out in a platter as big as your face. In this platter is two biscuits topped with either sausage/bacon/ham, hashbrowns/home fries, and eggs however you like them. All this is smothered in so much gravy that you cannot see the deliciousness that lies underneath it! The best part is that you can get this ginormous meal done however you like for only $ 5! Their other food is also just as tasty. The environment is friendly and you aren’t expected to to put on your Sunday best to eat Sunday brunch there. There is usually not a long wait for a table but once we did wait almost 45 minutes to get our food. This wait is rare but don’t expect to get in and out fast here. You wouldn’t be able to get out fast anyway after finishing their hearty and homey dishes! It is a college kid’s dream but is also great for anyone looking for a good breakfast.

I have been to this establishment several times. Food is good. The wait and service has always been slow. This morning I walked in, smiled at the waitress, sat for 10 minutes waiting on a server. As I sat two men came in at the table next to me, they order their drinks as well as their food. As the server was putting in their order another table of two men came, the server called them by name asked what they wanted to drink. She went to get their drinks, never acknowledged me sitting there. She came back with their drinks, took their order. The server missed out on a good tip. So now I’m at a different place, sitting with water and coffee and ordered. I won’t be back and I will inform those I have sent to you of my story. Good luck. And I always by local.

Good breakfast, but great sausage! Spice-filled, porky deliciousness. I only wish they’d pleased the gravy with a little of that sausage. Now that would have made the whole affair magical.

Just walked in here and sat down. 10:10 a.m. Waitress came over and told me it was going to be 11:30 before they could get me served. There were several empty tables and lots of people were already eating. Hmmmm? Big eye roll. not a huge place. Kind of seems contrary to the purpose of being a diner! Don’t waste your time! Couldn’t give ZEROSTARS!!! About four groups of at least four people walked out after walking in!

A big let down. We were in town and thought we’d hit up a local favorite of the people. Apparently hospitality and quality of food comes from an alternative planet with people that can’t smell, have no tongues and can’t understand a common courtesy.

No one likes to convince their server that they didn’t order what was brought to them. That was my experience at Lisa’s — the server literally showed me what she wrote down as if that was evidence. I conceded, «yes, I see you wrote that down, but I did not say that.» She shrugged her shoulders and walked away. So I ate a breakfast burrito that was similar to a hot pocket. Not a good experience.

OMG what an amazing Unilocal find! Their breakfast was better than I expected or hoped for. They were really crowded but our server brought us drinks and was really attentive. We tried the french toast, breakfast skillet, and poe melt. The skillet was the hit at our table, with everything pile up high we all had a chance to dig into it and we all agreed it was great. Definitely worth the drive off the highway to get an awesome breakfast.

The place was crowded for a Wednesday morning at 10AM… Had the western burrito which was very flavorful. The sausage patties were very flavorful. Service was quick and very friendly. Prices were super cheap.

Oh my, menu 11 oz steak — «big as your head» I’m in heaven. My heart said… Go to the Diner. And in the fourth day it was done. Lisa’s is a true destination restaurant nestled in Bowling Green. I would settle into a home in this town just to have Lisa’s in my town.

We got the 5th Street special. Fluffy biscuits, eggs cooked perfectly. Filled with regular customers. Service was great. Owner made the rounds and thanked us. So nice to have a friendly breakfast place downtown.

Service was great. We arrived with a large party, unintentionally right as they were closing. They served us anyway and were very attentive. Menu was simple but lots of seasonal chef’s specials — all fresh veggies!(with the exception of the fries) They did run out of a couple items that we wanted to order, but it was understandable since they weren’t planning on anymore customers that day. About a 30 minute wait on the food, and it was all cooked to order. Homemade deserts — yum! And, if you’re and onion ring fan, theirs are awesome!

The food was great! It took a long time to get our food because they were very busy. My son loved it and said he could not wait to eat here again.

Where the«LOCALS» eat. It’s really not hidden, & easy to find, but you won’t find it at an I-65 Exit, or on «Restaurant Row.» It’s near downtown; oh YES, LOTS of Parking. If you want a fresh, hot, great service, country meals, «Y’all Come.»

In town on business and wanted a great breakfast. Found Lisa’s on Unilocal.Sat at the counter, great service, good food, locals know it. Server was having a Birthday, everyone knows everyone. If I lived here, I would be a regular. Great price performer vs New York City! Try the Pie sausage. it was great.

Amazing little diner found off the beaten path. The service was very friendly and we were surprised by how inexpensive the meals were. We had a large party of eight, each ordering a different meal(I had the delightful hamburger steak), and we barely had to wait at all for our food to arrive. The portions are generous and the food itself is delicious, especially for its price(my meal only cost $ 6.50 plus tax)! This place deserves more attention!
