The cornbread is phenomenal. They have a great selection of appetizers and the steaks are probably the best in town. They never disappoint. I would love some more dessert options, but that is a small complaint in regards to how great everything else is.

I had dinner there this evening with my husband and a couple of friends to celebrate my birthday. We intended to order an appetizer but we were busy talking and forgot, but the salads were out before we thought about it again. The salads were crisp and fresh and the blue cheese dressing was delicious. I ordered the sirloin and my husband ordered the prime rib. We were both delighted with our meal. The steak was tender and cooked just right. The baked potato was cooked perfectly and even the jalapeño cornbread was delicious! It was a bit pricey but a special occasion, it was perfect.

Beyond the great food, I must compliment the owner & management for hiring & training the staff which are a welcome change. Additionally cudos on the design and attention to the architecture and concern for the various clientel who use the facilities in different ways. Highly recommended & we will return again. Thanks for a pleasurable dining experience.

What a great Unilocal find while traveling through Bowling Green. Everything was great(I had the rib & chicken combo– nice dry rubbed BBQ). Generous pours from the bar that were fairly priced by Chicago standards, though they probably get complaints from locals. Really comfortable space. Be sure to get some«Firecake». Possibly the best cornbread that I’ve ever eaten!

I feel like the only reason Montana Grille is as expensive as it is is because of its ambiance. It’s a cool, unique restaurant that feels very rustic but the food quality is nothing spectacular. I’ve eaten several things off of the menu but have never been particularly impressed enough by any of them to order the same thing again. The service isn’t that great, either — usually the waiters seem overworked/rushed and don’t take a lot of time with you. On the plus side, the key lime pie is amazing but probably the only thing that has made me a repeat customer.

I ordered the BBQ sandwich with a side of assorted vegetables, the BBQ was alright but those vegetables were fantastic. For the appetizer I ordered the fried green tomatoes, when they arrived I was wary due to them being cubed! They did not disappoint at all the breading with the deep bites of hot tomato really worked out well with their dip. Service was great.

Tried this restaurant while on vacation, looking for a great steakhouse that wasn’t a chain restaurant. We were very disappointed. The most expensive steak on the menu was the filet for $ 25. I ordered the NY Strip, which was«market priced». Imagine my surprise when our bill came and that price was $ 45!!! And it wasn’t even a $ 20 steak. It was not super flavorful, nor anything special. I’ve had better at chains like Texas Roadhouse. Very disappointed. I also tried to order a glass of moscato wine. They didn’t carry it. Says full bar so this surprised me. I said I’d try something else, which I hated and drank none of a $ 9 glass of wine. I was never asked if there was anything wrong with it or if I wanted something else. Not a good experience at all.

I wanted to like this place. The western lodge feel of the décor, the friendly greeter, etc. When I looked at the menu, the steaks were reasonable at $ 17 – 25 and had drink recommendations with them, so I thought these guys had it together. The jalapeño cornbread was good and not too sweet. The New York strip was listed as «market price» so I expected it to be higher, but I also expected it to be good. It was a sore disappointment. I ordered it medium, and the steak was seared and looked decent upon delivery, but looks were deceiving. The problem was the cut of meat. They did not remove the silver skin(connective tissue). This, I’m sure mislead the cook into thinking it was done based on the perceived firmness. Therefore, the center of the steak was purple and cold. The silverskin itself was inedible, but this ruined the meal. There is an ehow video that teaches how to trim New York Strip. I recommend it to them. The asparagus that came with it cooked well, but was short on season, so it tasted grilled, but without even much salt. «Market price» turned out to be $ 45. Had it been perfect, I’d be writing a very different review. The waiter and manager each offered to «bring it up», I suppose meaning to cook it longer as I had ordered it, but the problem was the cut. For the same reason I was not going to ask for them to cook a new one since they clearly did not know how to trim it. The only way for them to learn is from specific and clear reviews like this. I think the potential they showed increased the disappointment. Such a shame.

Went here on a recommendation while on a search for BBQ ribs. Found ‘em! Loved ‘em! Love the Montana type ambiance, including the wonderful fireplace. We did have about a 45 minute wait, but the evening weather was perfect so being outside waiting was fine. We could have squeezed up to the bar if desired. Staff was very friendly, a slight pricey, but excellent ribs.

Expensive. Wow. But perfectly done steak costs money, so if you want it you have to pay for it. Husband thought the rib eye had too much fat, but I thought it was just right. The firebread(cornbread with jalapeños) is delicious and not too hot. I could have eaten just that, and been perfectly happy. Service was good, which seems to be a rarity anymore. We got a half order of the nachos, which was way too much for two people. It was drowned in real cheese, which is also a rarity. All in all, a good(if rather expensive) experience. They just need a better dessert menu. There was nothing exciting to report on that front.

Ordered the Kentucky Bourbon Fillet medium rare. Got it partially medium rare, partially well done. It was pretty tough and dry, I’ve honestly had better steaks at Texas Roadhouse and I’m not exaggerating. The fillet came wrapped in a slice of bacon but the bacon was burnt because of the grill so steak had a burnt bacon flavor to it. Wouldn’t come back. Should have had Five Guys instead.

Got the sirloin steak, it was great. Moist and flavorful, and good size portion. Garlic mashed potatoes were also fantastic. Not a fan of the«firebread» that came with the meal, but I guess its because Im from the northeast. Nice staff, good amount of parking in the lot. Prices are on par with other chains.

What a find — you will not be disappointed. Great spot. Cool atmosphere. Wedge done right for a change(add dressing to bowl, drop on a wedge, add dressing, add fresh bacon, add fresh crumbled blue cheese). Bourbon Filet was ridiculous. Great prices vs. the other high end steak houses. Food — 5 Service — 5 Atmosphere — 5 Price/Value — 4 Vibe — 4

Great food in an amazing atmosphere. We had a great lunch here for my birthday. Ethan was one of the best servers I’ve encountered at any restaurant and I appreciate the kindness and efficiency he showed our family. We will definitely return!

The food wasn’t bad, but for what it is, it’s very overpriced. Five pieces of tempura shrimp is fifteen dollars as an appetizer, which is more expensive than a fully dressed burger with a side. Our server was Matt. I remember this because he was sure to tell us his name at least six times, about every other visit to our table. We got to learn Matt’s age and about places he likes to visit, and where he is from, and what his work schedule is like. Hovering would be an understatement. After he delivered the ticket for signing, he then proceeded to stand and talk to us some more. The longer he stood there the lower I clicked my mental tip counter. He left before it reached zero. Barely. I don’t think we will forget the visit, but not in the way Montana Grille might want us to.

Great service, food, and atmosphere. I ordered the bacon wrapped filet, and it was delicious. The meat was so soft, it melted in my mouth. My boyfriend ordered the prime rib and was also very delicious. Fried green tomatoes are very good too. Yummy corn bread! You’ll probably need to go for a walk after.

Great steak. Got the cowboy sirloin(the cheapest steak on the menu: O) medium-rare and it was exactly what I wanted. Cooked perfectly, which is the most important part, and no fiddly bits of gristle or anything like that. It was a good thickness and size. My boyfriend was a little perplexed that they didn’t have French fries to go with his burger. I got the coleslaw with my steak and it was delicious. Atmosphere is great as well: I really felt like I was out west in the mountains. They even planted trees outside the windows that match the feel.

Visiting Bowling Green to see the National Corvette Museum and wanted to fine a nice place to go. After reading some reviews, my husband & I decided we’d try it. Well, we were glad we did! The service was excellent, friendly fast! We both decided to have steak and it was done to perfection. I had the queen cut prime rib and he had the Kentucky bourbon filet. We both had their signature garlic mashed potatoes– YUM! The only downside I felt is you had to pay an extra $ 4.00 for salad. But you get plenty of food! It is well worth the visit!

Excellent all around dining experience. The interior was very nice, not generic in any way and it had a good feel. All of the food was excellent. The jalapeño cornbread to start was an unexpected bread course, and was very tasty. I had a wedge salad and the rotisserie chicken club sandwich. The salad was simple and well executed. The sandwich was huge and delicious. I definitely over ordered. All of the prices were in line with what I expected. Service was prompt and excellent. Drinks were refilled before you finished the first one, and there were multiple busboys clearing the table whenever you finished a plate. Our server was very attentive, yet not intrusive. Would definitely recommend going to this restaurant. There are a lot of options in the area, but this is the one that I will choose next time I am in town.
