Cook Out

Weird place. Somewhat good, but weird. I mean, it’s fast food, but it’s advertised as «cookout» type food. Seems like I’ve been to a restaurant like this before — Backyard Burger. And I actually prefer Backyard Burger. If you’ve never been to Cook Out, don’t go through the drive thru. The menu is big and confusing. You need to decide before you get to the speaker, because otherwise you’ll feel rushed.
You get two sides with your sandwich. I got fries and onion rings. They gave me 3 onion rings. The fries were boring. The burger was OK, I guess.
I don’t know. I suppose I’ll visit again one day. Just a very boring place. It fills a hole. About like any other fast food restaurant.

This place is great! Super cheap and super tasty. The hamburgers are tasty and so are the hot dogs. Try the hot dog cook out style! Drive thru was very fast and the staff was friendly. This is a great fast food place!

Our family loves this place! We are in KY AND ABLE TO HAVE CHEERWINE as a fountain drink, or even better, a Cheerwine float! The prices are great and the food is hot and prepared to order. Best fast food in Bowling Green!

Pretty good, but gotta remember to leave off the mayo. They put mayo on everything. Gahk! Hate. Mayo. Gross. My burger was actual hamburger, and actually grilled as advertised. The single burger is just enough, the double is way too much. Fries are passable. At least they didn’t seem to be fried in the used motor oil that everyone seems to be using these days, so that gets them points even if they aren’t the best fries I’ve ever eaten. The chicken sandwich is grilled and flavorful, although again we are faced with the disgusting mayo issue. Ew. Hold the mayo and its pretty good. I’m waiting for it to be warmer to try the milkshakes, which are their claim to fame. I’ll update with that when I’m not freezing my butt off. Oh, and they have Cheerwine on their fountain, which is nice for something different to drink (cherry cola type of thing, if you haven’t heard of it).

Wasn’t a fan of this place when they first opened. The person at the counter was extremely pushy and sticked to a script. Also, there were 3 registers that were figuratively less spaced out than airline seats.
There are way too many options and the staff rushes you. Definitely not a fan.

Great char broiled food. The prices are very reasonable. The shakes are outstanding. Nice interior and clean. Come and get it.

The food was great and the service was wonderful. I will definitely be coming back. Having scripture on the drinks and bags is also a huge plus!

My burger fell apart. When I think cheddar burger I envision a slice of cheese, not a squirt of nacho cheese.
The kiddo had no problem finishing his burger.
The fries were great. The onion rings sucked. Way over cooked.
The price is that of McDonalds, marginally the same quality.
Not coming back.

we liked the choices and the flavor of the burger. tasty and not too salty for the price. you can get cheese and bacon on everything! the shakes are so thick tho, beware the straw, use a spoon.

I have been to several Cookout locations, both in North Carolina and here in KY, and it is the best burger place on the east! Great value, phenomenal burger. i love how all the toppings are fresh and free. I also love how you can get a Bacon Roll-​up. as a side! and I always get it with Cheerwine. it’s the best cherry cola I have ever had, and a bit of an obsession. A meal is only 4.99. I love this place .
I very rarely give out 5 star reviews, but as a burger place, it doesnt get any better than The Cookout

Had eaten at other Cookouts before, expected this one to take a while to be up to par. However, it hit the mark right out of the gate. Parking lot full? Try the drive-​thru for speedy service. Very budget-​friendly.

I am not a fast food person but this place is so cheap. It cost me $ 6 to feed 2 people. There’s such a big selection I haven’t gotten the same thing twice. It’s quick and easy and with fast food you couldn’t ask for more. Spicy chicken has been my favorite so far.

I never heard of a bad thing about Cook Out until I looked on this app. I eat at this restaurant all the time! The food is phenomenal, the prices are low, and they are open extremely late! Disregard the negative comments about this restaurant, they don’t know what great fast food tastes like.

Food is OK, but you can tell it’s frozen food. The hubs likes the cheeseburgers. The side menu items could be more diverse, too many were like their main items. Freddy’s is better.

Have heard many good things about this place so I’m hoping my experience is not typical. This place was very fast and at a reasonable price. They messed up 3 things about my order. When telling them About it, they acted as If it was my fault. Staff standing around looking miserable. Mostly teens work here. Fast food, horrible service
