I love Sears Anything I need for my parents is always here. They definitely ain’t Macy’s or Nordstrom but I still like coming here just to walk around and browse I was able to find a new refrigerator for my new house here on my last trip. Great price and I can’t wait for it to be delivered Great customer service and a clean store I would recommend and come back but only for certain things

we always get things like refrigerators, stoves and other large household appliances at Sears and feeling sure there would be some Black Friday weekend sales we went to this one for a new refrigerator and were delightfully pleased they had the one we wanted on sale and wanted to buy it. Trouble was that the staff didn’t seem to want to write it up but after standing about 5 mins waving the sales tag in the air and calling out«Hey I want to buy something, here, have money, want to buy a fridge, is there someone who will write the order up?» finally a salesperson appeared and wrote it up. We also walked around and spotted some interesting items like a huge box of chocolates(88 pieces) for $ 19.99! Bathroom(in the back) was very clean; The front elevator didn’t work and did not have an «out of order» sign on it but the one is the middle of the store did.

Clean store and helpful staff. They are usually well-stocked here and have very good sales.

Unfriendly staff. I could defiantly write more, but what does it matter. Ohhh, but I did find the cutest baby clothes for my nephew. And they were on sale. 5 stars for that!!!

Be warned! If you buy an appliance at Sears that may require any modification to your home electrical system, you may be placing your home & family at risk. We bought an over-the-range microwave and they assured us that they could handle the straightforward installation in the place of an old rangehood with fan. They charged us $ 186 for installation, then gouged us for another $ 50 at installation to install a dedicated outlet. Unfortunately, they connected the outlet to the easiest, closest circuit, putting it way over capacity and creating an electrical fire hazard. We should have saved our installation money for a «real electrician» to install the microwave, outlet & dedicated circuit breaker. Though willing to take our $ 236 for an unsafe installation, Sears informed us that they could not do it properly and gave us the run-around to have it un-installed and refund our money(several hours on the phone with Sears installers and Customer Service to be told that we must go into the store in person to initiate the refund & un-install). They run a refined, well-oiled bait n’ switch operation. The promises of Sears salespeople & reps are just hot air…

Sears isn’t a store I’d think of when I want to go shopping for clothes. They don’t really have anything appealing to me… except maybe once every 3 years or so. Sears is somewhere I’ll go if and when I need to buy an appliance or something. They do have good prices along with some good payment plans or deals. BUT… I do need to give Sears high props for treating my partner and I with class. We’ve gone to Sears twice to get our pictures taken so we can mail them out along with Christmas cards. I mean, c’mon, how often do you see gay men having their pictures taken together at Sears? At Wal-Mart? At Kmart? Hmm? We weren’t gonna pay $ 6,000 for 4 wallet size pictures in Dupont Circle, ya know. Ok, I was exaggerating there. But you get the picture. The staff and photographers in the department didn’t freak out or anything. They just took us in and gave us posing instructions and snapped pictures of us. We were nervous because we didn’t know if they would take our pictures or not. But, they were absolutely cordial and professional.
