Worst tire shop ever. Poor service that includes grunting, a roaming dog, a dingy waiting area and no explanation waiting. Even worse, the MD safety inspection station located there is used to hustle customers. Had to file complaint with the MD State Police and had to have two troopers meet me there to resolve safety inspection issues. Bottom line, they withheld safety certificate in order to make unnecessary repairs:( Plenty of other tire shops. Pass this one up.

Our family has been using Chaney Tire & Auto for years after finding out we can order tires online through Tire Rack and have them delivered/installed locally at Chaney. We recently needed tires for two of our cars: an SUV and a sports car. We literally saved hundreds on each, and I was able to work on my laptop at the same time, using their WiFi. Before I knew it, the tires were installed, balanced and road-tested. Fast, courteous, professional service every time. Especially love the Boxer pup who comes to greet me when I’m there.

I have been going to Chaneys for years, and have always been impressed with their honesty and the reasonableness of their charges. Once, I got an estimate on my brakes from another firm and they quoted me $ 2,000; Chaneys looked at the brakes and told me I didn’t need all that work, and fixed them for $ 200.

THEWORSTCUSTOMERSERVICE… EVER!!! I was referred to Chaney’s’ by a co-worker. They seemed to have the mechanics down pat, but the customer service… not so much. I took my car in at 8:00am(when they open) and had ball joints replaced. I was told it would be 2 – 3 hours before the car was done. Ok, so I’ll go home, get some work done and come back around lunch, right… WRONG! When I called around noon, they said it would be closer to 2:00pm before my car would be ready. Ok, so I walk to go pick up my daughter from school, because clearly, I had no other way to get her. Well, after 2:00pm I call again, thinking, certainly my car is ready NOW; after all it’s been 6 hours on a 3 hour job. Well, again to my disappointment, the car was again, NOT ready!!! This time they tell me closer to 4:00pm and that they meant the job itself is 2 – 3 hours, but that they had cars from the night before to still finish up. WTH! Needless to say, I loose it, but not much I can do, considering I’m home with no transportation! I had a 4:00pm doctor’s appt, which I would be charged to cancel, since it wasn’t 24 hour notice. In my «loosing» it, the person I was talking to Richard, ask me did I tell them when I dropped the car off that I had a 4:00pm doctors appt. Was I suppose to report that to the mechanic??? When I get there at 4:30pm, eight and a half hours after dropping my car off, I asked about some sort of accommodation. Richard insisted that they did nothing wrong and didn’t seem to understand my frustration. Uhhhh, my entire day on hold for what I was told was a 3 hour job, incurred a $ 50 cancelation fee for the doctor’s appointment and you don’t understand why I’m angry!!! I will NEVEREVER go back and will let everyone I know how terrible their customer service is!!!
