01/24/2016 Can someone please tell me if Frank’s is under new Management? The food today was not as good as it has been it the past; my shrimp Parmigiana was just okay, my son had the baked ziti & felt that he has had better and his girlfriend said her food wasn’t as good as the last time as well. We just got back from the Poconos & headed straight to Frank’s before going home, I’m so sad to say it was somewhat of a disappointment. My Original Review I drove all the way from Linden just for Their Shrimp Parmigiana, it was so good! My only complaint is too much sauce on the Linguini. I always ask for a little sauce but forgot this time, but all in all this was a great lunch & the Garlic Bread was«Per-fec-to!!! Yummmmm

I’ve only had the pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni. Pepperoni gave the pizza a strong acidic flavor. But plain mushroom was very good. I’m a big fan of classic ny pizza and the pizza at franks is not quite as thin as I’m used to. The pizza dough is a tiny bit fluffy. The flavor is good and has a satisfying crust. I appreciate the coupons on the pizza box. Convenient location.

Service is quick, and the pizza is very tasty. This is one of my «go-to» places when I don’t feel like cooking.

The food at this place can be pretty decent if you know what to order. My girlfriend and I tend to order from here every few weeks since it is the closest Italian restaurant to where we live. We have tried a good amount of stuff from their gigantic menu. The food can range from really good to awful depending on what you order. I’ll start with the good. My favorite entrée to order here is the chicken auroura with penne. It comes with melted mozzarella cheese(nice and gooey) on top of chicken, and it is served in a vodka sauce with sun dried tomatoes. The sun dried tomatoes add a nice additional layer of texture and flavor to the dish. I have only tried a few entrees from this restaurant, but I have a feeling they all come with a ton of sauce. I personally cannot stand a dish that is low on sauce, so this is a good thing in my book. I like to order the garlic bread with cheese and extra marinara sauce on the side. I think this place uses more garlic on their garlic bread than the typical Italian restaurant, so I wouldn’t be surprised if some people actually don’t like this here. I have also had a few sandwiches here that were solid. The pizza at this place isn’t anything amazing. They have many specialty slices available, and they definitely don’t skimp on the portions of the toppings. I have only tried a few different pan pizzas here, so maybe that’s not enough to fully judge what they’re capable of here. But the few that I did try were a little disappointing. The main issue I had was the texture of their crust. It hardened up really fast, and it quickly became a chore to eat. The calamari here was also a little disappointing. some pieces felt very rubber-y. I would say most of the fried appetizers here in general are only okay. We tried the appetizers for two, and I felt like everything was just a bit overcooked. I have ordered two things at this restaurant that were absolutely horrible: their meatballs and their #7 sandwich. I was totally not expecting their meatballs to be so bad, but wow they were probably the worst meatballs I’ve ever had. It tasted like they literally cooked a ball of ground beef and hoped it would taste fine with marinara sauce. I couldn’t taste any seasoning at all. It was so bland. I’m not exaggerating when I say that frozen processed meatballs taste much better than their meatballs. I could only eat about ½ of one of their meatballs before giving up. Their #7 sandwich is about as terrible as their meatballs too. This sandwich is drenched in so much hot sauce that I couldn’t taste any chicken or bacon when I bit into it. I didn’t think it was possible for bacon to taste bad, but they’ve done it with this sandwich. The hot sauce basically destroyed my taste buds from the first bite. I tried to save the sandwich by removing a lot of the sauce with napkins, but my efforts were futile. The sauce was already absorbed by the meat. I forced myself to eat as much of the sandwich as possible because I was so hungry, but I couldn’t even eat half of the sandwich before calling it quits. I would say the prices at this place can be very good depending on what you order. You can get an insane amount of food when you order an entrée here. very worth it. Despite some of the horrible stuff I’ve had here, this place does have its redeeming qualities. I will continue to order from here from time to time due to convenience and the few dishes that I already know are very good.

Been getting pizza here since middle school. Haven’t lived in the area in 10 years, but this place is one of my favorites — have to stop in every time I’m home. My girlfriend, who’s also from Central Jersey so she knows good pizza, mentions this place all the time when we’re home in Boston and always insists on stopping here if we’re in BB.

My wife and I have stopped here a few times before going food shopping in the Shop-Rite. The pizza was very good. We plan on coming back to try the pasta entrees.

I’d zero stars but I Unilocal won’t allow me to. We ordered a week ago, it took 2 hours, and our food was ice cold. We were told our charges would be backed out. They never were, so we called tonight to ask for a credit and to give them another try. They refused to give us the credit, nor do anything to make up for the lousy service. They lost a customer forever, and they lost any possibility of getting a positive review. Overall, they suck.

Had the appetizer for 2. Which took a while and it was eh. The tomato sauce tasted bad and the only thing that was good on it was a mozz sticks. Pass on that! I had a tossed salad which was good and my husband had a pizza slice. which was good but nothing special. I love pizza and this place is overall just okay. I wouldn’t waste my time again.

Frank’s is conveniently located just east of I-287 on Rt 28, in the ShopRite shopping center. I frequently stop here on the way home from work to grab a slice, garlic knots, etc. The bilingual service is always friendly and I’ve not been disappointed in many visits. Frank’s has specials every day(e.g., chicken with asparagus in balsamic, chicken caesar salad, etc.), and features BONUS: Liquor store next door, and ShopRite, dollar store, and laundromat across the parking lot.

I moved to this area from Northern NJ/NY area and I am still struggling to find pizza that tastes like home. This is the closest I have found so far and we usually order take out so I bet it is even better if you order in. Other than pizza the eggplant parm dinner is a very good deal(comes with enough for dinner and two days worth of lunch) and very good. What we have tried that isn’t so great and why I only rate it an A-OK? Don’t get the calamari, bruschetta, mozzrella sticks or sandwiches.

Frank’s Pizza is a very good, but not exceptional pizzeria. They offer your standard pizzeria items including calzones, subs, etc. Overall the pizza is pretty good with the tortellini pizza standing out. They use a rich and buttery alfredo sauce instead of the red sauce and it is a decadent delight. Their appetizer for two which has an ample selection of chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, fried zucchini and mushrooms and onion rings is a great value. The items themselves aren’t much above the standard frozen food varieties, but it’s the huge portion size that makes it a great value and a nice starter. Also, their chicken francaise is worth trying as well.
