This was our first visit. We both had the same thing, 3 piece Cod fish and chips. The fish was smaller than we are used to. They taste OK but they are prebreaded frozen that you can buy at the supermarket, nothing special. The fries are fine, they are the frozen thin cut, again OK.
Where we had some disappointment was the white clam chowder. It tasted OK, not the best we have had but once more, OK. The sad part was that it was almost all white broth. It had very little to chew on.

Love this place! Everything is really good but the clams & white chowder are my faves. I’ve made huge take out orders and they were always right. Lots of parking. Even left overs stay crunchy!

I have been to quite a few Ivars in WA state and this one seems to be the best food wise. They have fish tacos which doesnt seem to be at every location. The food in general and especially the soups have always been excellent.

A+ establishment. Excellent service– they even brought my husband and I towlettes and Andy’s mints after our meal, and greeted/​said goodbye upon arrival and exit. And who can go wrong with fresh cod and coleslaw… was Very impressed with this location.

Have always loved the freshness of seafood at Ivars and this place is no different. Was in the neighborhood for and oil change. This Ivars is across the street from Grease Monkey, so makes for a perfect stop over while you get your oil change.
The servers are pleasant attentive and exceeded expectations serving candy and hand towelettes when we were done.

This is my default restaurant for a quick, filling & delicious meal. The food here pretty consistent, but what’s more to be commented on is the staff and their exceptional customer service. The crew at this location always seem to be working diligently and go above and beyond to prioritize customer satisfaction. They have a friendly, warm smile on their face for every customer. When the food is ready, staff will call out your name (makes it more personable) and bring the food to your table; they also come around carrying a basket of wet wipes and chocolate. Excellent fast food joint given the level of services rendered for customers.
On a side note, sometimes they do not pick up phone calls (for takeout orders) when they are swamped during peak business hours. It can get a bit frustrating, but it is understandable.

We had a late evening craving for clam chowder. We used Unilocal to find our favorite Ivar’s in Bothel that had moved to a new location. We are so glad we found it. The chowder was delicious and service was prompt and friendly.

I have never written a review of a fast food restaurant, but then again, this was not a «fast food experience». I’ve been to other Ivars and have not been impressed, but this particular store — WOW! They took service and excellence to a new level.
They brought the food to our table, offered to get our drinks for us from the soda dispenser (which was amazing in itself — whatever Coke product you ever thought of, is available). Came back to our table to ensure everything was ok. The fish and chips (chicken and onion rings in my case) were amazing and hot/​sizzling and crisp. An added nice touch was a staff member coming around towards the end of our dinner offering chocolate mint and hand wipes. Was this fast food? I’ve been to elegant dining that offered less service than Ivars.
Well worth the money spent and the excellent experience!

Very polite servers and staff. Probably took about 5 minutes to get our food which seems fine to me. Girlfriend and I both got 3 piece of fish and chips. Fish was good and so were the fries. The tables I saw were wiped and cleaned instantly when people left. The restaurant was very clean.

Very clean place to eat. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! Good choices and tons of seating inside or out side! Then were youre almost done they come around and offer Andes mints and hand wipes!!! Anthony’s home port doesn’t even offer that!

I love Ivars, but not this location!
I was helped by the manager who seemed to be having a bad day. Not a big deal itself.
When I bit into the fried oysters I ordered, they were practically inedible. It was pretty much fried sand and mud.
Every time I’ve visited the Ivars on the Mukilteo waterfront, I’ve had crispy breading over a juicy oyster. Not sure what happened here, but it pretty much deterred me from visiting this Ivars again. I can’t really eat the oysters in general without thinking about the mud.
The interior decorating is modern here for an Ivars and they do have a Freestyle soda fountain where you can get 100+ drinks.

Top notch friendly customer service. They greet you with a smile and smile when you pick up your order. They repeat back your order to you to make sure you have everything. They give you plenty of napkins and utensils and whatever sauces you might need. The food is made with care and always looks fresh and clean. Worth the trip and the money if your looking for in my opinion Seattle’s best clam chowder and fish and chips. They have salmon, halibut, cod, shrimp and other seasonal fish. They have selections that are not fried. Try the shrimp and or Dungeness crab cocktail! There are options for non seafood eaters.

This was my first Ivar’s experience, so maybe I just didn’t know what to expect. I found the fish to be kind of soggy and the fries to be a little bland. I also thought the fish pieces were small for the price (not that it is very spendy), but I didn’t mind that too much. I enjoyed the clams more but found those a bit soggy, too! Maybe I’m just not used to breaded cod and am partial to beer battered. but either way, I wasn’t super impressed.

Honestly one of the best Ivars I’ve been too. The restaurant was extremely bright and clean with ample parking
The food was piping hot and fresh. I ordered the Super Clam Strips and a cup of chowder. I was just shocked as to how big the strips were. They were juicy and crispy… so good! The chowder was awesome as usual.
My love ordered the two piece with chips. His fish was hella fresh and tasty too. We also ordered some Cajun Shrimp and Calamari to share. The Cajun Shrimp was a little on the salty side but the Calamari was awesome! Light and crunchy I wanted another order. Service was fast and friendly too.
I will be coming back soon I’m sure :)

Pretty good fast food fried fishies. Every time my order has been hot, tasty and fresh tasting. Seating is limited and this place always seems to be full so get yours to go if you want to relax and eat.

They did a great job. Service was very friendly at the counter and the food was fresh and tasty.
I think the prices are a tad high for being in a strip mall in Bothell. That’s my only gripe.
$ 13 something for a 4 piece salmon and chips and a cup of chowder. That’s fine if you’re in a scenic area but I think it’s a bit high for the parking lot location and for what is essentially fast food.
Nonetheless I am a fan and I will be back when in the area!
Psst…they serve beer.

Darn good fish and crazy excellent service! The three piece is very generous, so much so I was too full and wished for a two piece. Fries are crispy and quite yummy. The fried mushrooms are a rip, $ 1.29 for 6 tiny little things, oh well.
The servers bring the food to your table with a smile and take your garbage away. I hope it’s always like this and not just a thing they do when newly opened. Very clean too!!!
