Himitsu Teriyaki

So confused by these less than stellar reviews! Staff is always so friendly, the prices are good, and the spicy teriyaki is delicious! My most recent experience was last night; I walked in at 7:45, ordered at the counter (I’m confused about the review that stated there wasn’t a walk-​up counter… there is), and my meals were ready in less than 10 min. Will definitely be back again. And again.

I have been coming to this place for many years. I try to share it with all my friends. Very friendly service and quality sushi. I’m sad I moved out of the area, but stop by whenever I can.

This place has the best teriyaki, fresh sushi, yakisoba, and Gyozas! They have a huge list of sushi rolls; we haven’t tried them all — yet. But what we have had, has been delicious. We also love their General Tsao and Orange Chicken, which comes with 2 scoops of rice. I’m making a point of saying this as we’ve eaten in places that charge you for even one scoop. The meals are large enough to share, sometimes with leftovers even. They are really masters of special sauces, too. We love this place!
Don’t miss it! Yum!

Pleasant atmosphere and very tasty sushi. Lunch time was a bit too busy for the only waitress on hand (owner?) I felt the plywood bench seats could use a cushion for a more relaxed eating experience.

Just finally tried this place after four years of living here! The sushi was great and the service was fast. I was impressed with the Bothell roll and the Sounders roll. Definitely give this place a try if you’re in Bothell.

We’ve been to this place many times for lunch from at least 2007 to 2014.
The food: teriyaki and sushi rolls. The quality is very good though not exceptional. It is more sweet than spicy but condiments are readily available.
Prices: not too bad. At most about $ 12 for a teriyaki entrée.
Décor: small and comfortable, but not upscale (they cater to Thrashers’ Corner and Canyon Park workers on lunch break).
Service: friendly and reasonably quick. No upsetting episodes.
Extras: They have pictures of all the sushi rolls so you can look and point at the one you want. Not quite as good as in Japan where they have plastic models of everything, but I’ll take it.
I would definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area and want something better than McDonald’s.

Walked in because I was charging my car and wanted to kill some time. It was 7:45pm and they had their «Open» light on. Walked in and was immediately treated like I was unwanted. Asked if they were closed, lady who seated me said «no» but turned off the open lights as she seated me. Threw the menu at me and walked away.
I wasn’t trying to eat a lot and having worked in food service I understand the annoyance of late customers. I asked for a warm sake and edamame. She asked for ID. I showed her my passport and she denied it, claiming a new law says they cannot accept passports as a form of ID. This is hilarious for obvious reasons which I tried to explain but she didn’t relent.
I walked out. I knew from the moment I entered the place that I wasn’t welcome. They probably should just close at 7pm if late customers are such a problem…

Pretty standard teriyaki/​Japanese food. Smallish menu. They did have a spicy veggie ramen which was surprisingly delicious. I’m not sure what they put in their broth but it was very flavorful. Sushi roll was decent too. Prices were fair.
Wouldn’t go out of my way to come back as the choices were a bit limited, but I wouldn’t mind eating here again either.

Quick service, good food, clean and comfortable. The portion size seemed to be smaller than I am accustomed to for Teriyaki but it was still enough.

The teriyaki is large portions but quite expensive. Family owned Im assuming and sushi is pretty authentic

If you live near here — thrashers corner — I think this is a really decent choice for your neighborhood teriyaki shop. They serve sushi and whatnot too — but I would skip that if I were you. It’s a good value for teriyaki, too.

The place itself is smaller, good for a quick lunch during work hours if you’re out in Bothell. Personally they put on too much teriyaki sauce for my taste, but if you like overloaded sweet sauce (there are people who like this, I’ve checked) this is the spot for you. Large portions, lots of sauce, relatively quick service, and decent prices.

Himitsu offers solid teriyaki in a cleaner than average space, although it’s a little difficult to find. As it is near my office, I come here fairly often for lunch, and I’ve always had a good experience. The bento combos are my favorite here, and the gyoza are much better than most. There is also a full sushi menu, but I usually stick to the basics and have not been disappointed.

Fresh, delicious, friendly… pretty much the best Sushi place I have found around here. They are reasonably priced, and serve generous portions of fish.
Typically, I order Nigiri, and some traditional rolls, like Spicy Tuna. Pretty basic as far as Sushi goes, however, I am extremely picky on the quality of the fish. This place, serves the best quality in the area, and the ratio of fish to rice is perfect. I cannot STAND when I order and have a ton of rice and a thin, small piece of fish.
They also have a large selection of special rolls. Usually, I don’t order these. I have, however, taken coworkers here for lunch and tried some of their special rolls. They were pretty good too. It would be a good place to take people who aren’t really into the raw fish Sushi, or like those fancy rolls with tons of toppings. They pretty much have some sort of offering for anyone.
The place is family owned, and the couple is always very friendly. I frequently order takeout, which they always have ready quickly. Sometimes they actually throw in a few extra pieces for me… I tend to tip very well, so I suppose they aren’t free, but it is a nice gesture.
If you are looking for good Sushi in the Bothell Area, Himitsu is your spot. Stay away from the spot across the street with conveyer belts, ICK!

A cozy place for teriyaki and sushi in the northern Bothell area. Can’t go wrong with the bento box special for lunch (just under $ 8), which includes chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempura, 4 pc. California roll, salad, and rice.
If you’re a fan of rolls, their walls are adorned with a huge assortment from which to choose.

Wife and I stopped by for some hot noodles to beat the cold and were very disappointed! My wife is Japanese and we eat a lot of noodles! Tea had taste and look of hot water only. When I complained, the waitress said it came from a larger pot and there was nothing she could do (she did bring a pot with clear hot water and a few buckwheat grains in it). I had Udon, my wife had Ramen, both were worse than instant. Whole experience was a let down.
Staff was friendly.

Another pure Unilocal pick, Never heard a word about this place until I searched it up on the Unilocal app. And it turned out to be very much worth its high average rating.
It’s an ambitious little teriyaki place with a ton of sushi rolls. Man, they have a lot of maki. In fact, they take color photos of every roll, print out 8×10 color shots with name and price, and paste them up all over the dining room. It’s like being in a family gallery at a grandma’s house, except the family is all wrapped in sheaths of rice and covered with spicy piquant sauces.
The dining room is nice; it’s tidy and clean. It hovers somewhere between teriyaki joint and sushi place – nice blond wood for the furniture, but nothing expensive. And then the place settings come out and the flatware is all cheap tin bought in batches of 1,000. Nothing off-​putting about it, it just makes you feel like probably you’ll be getting a good value.
There’s table service, and it’s super friendly, sweet, fast, and efficient table service at that. They seem genuinely delighted to see regulars and new customers. The prices end up being like a cheap corner teriyaki joint where you order at the counter, but it’s a full-​on restaurant. A full-​on restaurant where you get a plastic bottle of pop and a cup of ice, but someone walks it out to you and nods serenely. Nice.
The teriyaki hit the spot, and cost me $ 7. And everything else about the place evidently warranted paragraphs and paragraphs. It’s not too awfully far from where I live. I’ll definitely be back.

Damn, I really wanted to like this place… since it is close to home and it said «Best Teriyaki» I figured it was worth a shot.
First off, they seat you and give a menu… never been to a teriyaki place that wasn’t walk up to order. Hmm. The place was clean and the lady working there was very nice… so just for that it pains me to give 2 stars. But when it comes to the teriyaki, they are really tooting their own horns cuz it is definitely not the best. The sauce was strange, kinda tangy tasting. Best thing about it, no fatty pieces. Food wasn’t horrible by any means, but I don’t see myself rushing back anytime soon.
