I use to stop by at least once a week UNTIL… they changed hands. Now it carry less stuff, prices went up and staff is sooo oo… unfriendly. The furniture area is a dirty, unkempt joke. I wouldn’t want my dog laying on it. What happened Helping Hands???

High prices, and many items unmarked… Merchandise display is shoddy and they have a very limited selection… Parking is limited. They sold me a Camera that did not work and would not refund my cash, only store credit. They said that was their«policy». I asked if it was also their policy to sell broken electronics? I believe an exception was in order considering the circumstances but the manager came out to shut me down and hold my money hostage… I used to shop their often but sadly the new management has chased me away with high prices and an unfriendly demeanor and policies… The Goodwill is a far better bet… better prices, better selections, more professional help, better hours, and a more pleasant place to shop in every way!

Love this place, visited for the first time the other day. Found a cute pair of jeans, art for my sons room, and a few other treasures. Everything was priced very fair, and the lady working was friendly and helpful, I’ll be back on $.25 day!

My favorite second hand store, hands down! Great little neighborhood store with a lot of great things! I come here for furniture pieces, and always find great things! I enjoy refinishing furniture, and I’ve been coming to Helping Hands ever since I started this new hobby. They have reasonable prices, and I would choose HH over any second hand store; any day! I purchased a bed side table for $ 4.90. Great piece and it re-finished beautifully!!! I’ve also purchased a 2– drawer dresser and a side table. The most expensive piece I’ve gotten was the 2 drawer dresser which was $ 14. But again, it’s a quality-all wood piece; so it was still a steal! You could probably expect to pay around $ 25-$ 30 at a Goodwill for the same thing! Sometimes I find some good work clothes(I work in Paint so I don’t like to ruin my good clothes, so thrift stores supply me with my work clothes!) Anyways! I love this place!

On July 17 I donated 8 large bags of clothing to the Bothell store. This was after I had dropped off a truckload of furniture to the Snohomish store. When I arrived home, to my dismay I discovered I mistakenly had put a blue jewelry box in one of the bags. I immediately called the store who assured me I didn’t need to come back, «that it happens all the time» and that she would put up a note and call me when it was found. Days go by. When I call back, she was rude. More days pass. I return to the store, ask again for a call from a manager, nothing! I called today and am told that I haven’t received a call«because we obviously haven’t found it yet». Ouch. The jewelry was my grandmothers. The clothing and furniture are from her estate. Could they care any less?

as long as you have time to search through things, you are bound to find something. Store is a little dirty but has a cozy small business thrift store feel to it.

Cute place, decent selection. The prices are amazing-but I’m used to thrift shopping in Southern California. The staff is very helpful.

Since the new owners took over, the staff is very unfriendly. It used to be a great place to go… but I feel so unwelcome when I’m in there, I have stopped going. The people who work there(especially the owners) just are not friendly.

What a fabulous resource. Having moved to a much smaller house, it felt really good to donate some lovingly used items rather than contribute to he onslaught faced by the landfills. Quick drive through service, polite staff, and helpful people quick to help me lift he heavy things out. Kudos to a great recycling resource.

I’ve been coming here often since I work just down the street now. In the winter it’s always freezing cold inside the store so bundle up. The furniture is usually just junk. Same with all of their outdoor & sporting stuff — anything that’s kept in their outdoor space. It’s mostly a waste of time to browse the guys’ clothes too. Prices are hit and miss; sometimes really low and sometimes too high. I’ve only found a few small items worth buying here, but it’s still fun to browse.

I was surprised to read that a «great little couple» owns it… for some reason I thought it was a non-profit to benefit animals. Also the(and I use this generously) management changes frequently. We have donated tons of quality stuff over the past 5 years and usually go inside after we drop it off. Unfortunately, the last time, a male attendant in the yard wanted to go through what we were donating and«cherry pick» what he *thought* they wanted. I’m sorry but I sincerely doubt that he’s an expert. We did go inside and were sad to see that they have now reduced their stock by about 1⁄3. Less to browse, higher prices and now basically just a used store place without personality. One of the things that people go to thrift stores for is to find parts for something of theirs that’s broken. Forget it here. We’ll drive a bit further and donate to St. Vincent de Paul’s now as I know they truly are a non-profit and help the needy.

I drive out of my way to shop here. Great brands, even better prices. My favorite pair of Lucky brand jeans I bought for $ 7! At Goodwill they would be double the price. I have seen some great Italian shoes that don’t fit me, I wish they did. Maybe you would be so lucky! I also love my Juiceman Jr. I bought for $ 5. This is my best shopping secret!

Sometimes I am really not sure how I feel about Helping Hands Thrift Store. Sometimes I really like it and find some treasures, other times I find nothing and it’s usually because I think the prices are so high. Some of the stuff is really reasonable, like I just got a really cool vintage pie plate there for $ 1.50. Housewares is certainly the biggest section. The book selection is pretty paltry. If you are still using VHS, this is the place to go because they have a ton. I don’t think the people who work there are very nice, and they usually don’t treat each other very nicely. It’s easy enough access, kinda in between Bothell and Mill Creek on the Bothell-Everett Hwy.

Seen this place tons and tons of times. Very few magazines here, weird. But I have bought tons of 78 records here before for about $ 1 a piece. Good price for nostalgic jazz and pop!

I think the store is great! Its got that really vintage and thrifty feel to it since its in a historic building. It gives you the full experience of finding«treasures»! There are some great supplies for the creative, crafty and artsy person since they have a decent amount of unique finds. Most of the pricing is good and if you feel like the price isn’t a good deal they are willing to barter if you speak up about it. The staff is friendly. If you’re looking for the perfectly laid out, most organized store, with everything color coded then you should probably keep shopping at value village, but if you’re looking for the thrifty atomsphere, finding amazing treasures and just generally finding that vintage stuff then helping hands its a great stop.

This store has really reorganized itself, knocked out a few walls and opened up the place. They now feature a vintage/costume department with really cool stuff. Great place to find jigsaw puzzles, books and vintage or retro jewelry. Nice folks too! They offer a punch card system for discounts and take most donations. They are housed in an historic building so it adds to the charm. The floorboards creak giving the shopper that homespun feeling.

Store was very dirty and unorganized, but the staff was very helpful & nice! I got a few records, books, and a desk for under $ 50.00. Great deals!
