My son attended Evergreen for preschool and kindergarten. The Montessori program here really helps active children to focus and learn at their own pace. He had individual learning plans that were reviewed by the staff to ensue that all aspects of his learning were considered. He really thrived in this environment with ample individual attention. He still has friends from his class there. There is mention here of drama and implicating the staff. I find this very interesting as the drama that I saw being created was by the parents with the staff being forced to respond. We as parents need to get our act together on some things. We need to stop bringing sick kids to school and putting others at risk. We need to partner with teachers much better to review learning goals and solicit their input and feedback. They are the professionals and should know how things should be dealt with. If this is not the case, then sit down with the principal and get it resolved. I have seen parents shouting at teachers. I have no idea what is to be accomplished by this. This is a great school with tons of young energetic teachers. You will get what you put into it.

My child attended Evergreen Academy for 4 years. Evergreen Academy is owned by Nobel(corporate entity) Quality of teachers has diminished over the years. Likely due to low pay and being overworked. They now hire young people with no experience which resembles junior high. Lots of gossip, hiring of friends etc. New administration is top down, they treat the teachers, parents, and students with no respect. The curriculum has become mediocre especially for the cost. Basically a glorified kinder care. Math and grammar are especially weak when students transfer into other public or private schools. They don’t publish test scores because they are below average. The school doesn’t accommodate high performing students or vice versa students with disabilities.(They were sued for it) if you are happy with mediocre and don’t complain at all you will do just fine here. if you do complain be prepared to take your children out immediately. They have dismissed(kicked out of the school) many families over the past year. Children are caught in the middle and most certainly their best interest isn’t taken into consideration. The school was and has the potential to be a great school but not with the régime that is in place now. Disappointing and shameful…

Our son participated in two summers of camp and one full year of preschool. We were unexpectedly pleased with how much he blossomed in his year with Evergreen. We had previously attended a smaller church sponsored preschool and were frustrated with our son’s development in social skills at the end of the year. After attending Evergreen, Ewan is like a different child. We would highly recommend Evergreen to anyone!
