I tried to have lunch at D-Thai a little after 11 today but the door was locked. I’m giving three stars for adding the sorry not open today sign at 11:15. Will try again in the future because I do enjoy the ambiance and the food.

Fantastic establishment. Pricing is very reasonable and the food is exceptional. You can get it über spicy too if you’re up to it. Tito will treat you right! Awesome service, authentic food, and great atmosphere make this place a must visit!

Took my son to D Thai to share a plate of Pad Thai. I’d been here before; gotten take out, never eaten in the restaurant. My experience with take out had been mixed. Food quality has never been amazing. Nevertheless, it’s close to home and we wanted Thai food. We were seated right away. However, after being seated, we waited for 12 – 15 minutes before being asked for our order. There were two other tables with guests. Our order was taken before them, despite coming in after them. We ordered one plate of pad Thai to share. We waited almost 30 minutes for our food to arrive. After it arrived I asked for crushed peanuts. I was told that they didn’t have peanuts anymore because they are bad for your health. Then I was offered peanut sauce instead. Wut? The food was just bland. It was a huge plate of noodles with very little chicken. I don’t think I’ll be returning. This was the 3rd time eating their food. Food has never been very good. This time the service was terrible.

I love the atmosphere of this place. It’s different. I think it used to be a bar? It’s small and cozy and has an American pub feel(bottles on display, coasters under the glass on the tables). It’s just not your average wannabe trendy Thai food joint. Which makes it fun. Not the best food I’ve ever had, but it’s tasty nonetheless. Enjoy!

Eh, I don’t think I’ll come here again. I came here during lunch time and it was PACKED. Thought it would mean this place was really good… not really. The restaurant was really cramped, and we got seated at a table where we had to get up in order to let people into the table beside us. I ordered chicken pad thai, 4 stars. I wasn’t really a fan. It was very dry. Noodles were very clumped together which made it difficult to eat. Portion size was what I would consider normal — I ate my lunch serving, and was able to have some leftovers. Thai iced tea was standard. Service was slow, which I’m not surprised with how packed it was. We asked for water but never got any. One of the waiters was REALLY nice but unfortunately that doesn’t make up for everything else.

Perfectly good Thai restaurant. The curry was good, and we enjoyed the cashew chicken. Nothing super spectacular, but a good meal at a reasonable price.

Food is great. I usually do take out and never had an issue with them. The guy at the front knows me which is nice as I don’t go here too often.

Meh… I’ve experienced better, but it will do in a pinch. I’m a Thai and sometime I’m just tired and make my own food. I been there 3 times in 3 years… and I live her in Bothell… and each time I felt the same way. Each time I’m thinking… come on support local business, support your local country men… but it left me feeling blah. They could do better with the food. The service was ok. But the facts that they are still in business means they must be doing something right. Either that or non-Thais just don’t know any better, more power to them. I can’t even suggest what good there. Maybe Thai beer… Singha(sing)… It will go with anything good or bad.

D-Thai in Bothell is with out a doubt the worst Thai food you will ever have. Plus they will hand you a bill with no figures on it other than a grand total. We ordered Swimming Rama $ 12.00, pot stickers $ 8.00. 1 beer and 1 glass of wine. The bill was $ 40.00!!! I asked how much the beer and wine was and they were unable to answer. HORRIBLE food, service, and math skills. We will never go back and suggest no one else goes either. Honestly I don’t think they deserve even 1 star.

Outstanding… I have eaten a lot of Thai, and bar none some of the best I have had. The little old guy is very sweet, he answered qestions, and helps with suggestions. What a neat place. Curries have depth of flovor, with notes of coconut milk, basil, and spice. Pad Thai I order with the extra wide noodles,(amazing) Heat levels run from a 1 – 5 scale. This is my third time back in two months. I call ahead and ordered this time when I walked in the little old guy referenced me by name multiple times. Very delightful. Highly recommended trying DTHAI, Bothell, Wa

Co-worker and I came here for lunch because we were craving Thai food. I ordered the pad see ew w/chicken and she ordered sweet & sour chicken. My pad see ew tasted like chow fun, if chow fun has a giant onion in it. Seemed like a whole onion was chopped, but not chopped all the way because giant chunks were stuck together. I’ve never had pad see ew with onion in it. Co-worker’s sweet and sour chicken looked like a plate of veggies and some chicken in the same sauce that was on my pad see ew(i.e.: NOT sweet & sour). Giving 2 stars because it was edible, but I’m probably not going back any time soon.

The service is amazing! They treat you so well and are very helpful with the menu. I’ve only been to a Thai restaurant twice and never know what to get. This is my boyfriends favorite Thai place. He’s been going her for years. He claims they have the best Pad Thai. I got the Screamer Beef without any extra stars for spice. Oh my goodness! If you have a sinus infection this will clear it out.

D-Thai Restaurant claims they are«Bothell’s Original Thai Restaurant» open since February 1992. Obviously, I had been under a rock since I used to work in the Bothell-Canyon Park area from during the 1990 decade and never tried this restaurant before. However, I had my first visit for a business dinner yesterday 2÷4÷15, which was selected by my two dining companions. Kind of a tight hole-in-the wall spot in a non-descript strip mall right off of the Bothell-Everett Highway/405 interchange at 228th. Service was just okay and unobtrusive. We weren’t the only table conducting business over dinner, so perhaps they are used to less animated interaction. What was ordered: Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce(2 for $ 7.75) Tom Ka Chicken Soup(Gigantic size for $ 11.95) Coconut based Either it was Chile Beef or Screaming Beef($ 12.95) — Amped up and spicy! Spicy Prawns($ 13.95) also Coconut based Orders of rice — white(2) and brown(1)($ 1.50 each) Not much else to add since I was paying more attention to the business conversation. While the food was edible, it was not memorable.

I wavered between a single star and two. I went with two, because while it was disappointing and I won’t be back, it was still editable. I got chicken pad thai, two stars to-go. It was spicy enough, but it lacked the taste I expect from pad thai. It was just a little boring. I also found a piece of plastic sitting right on top. It happens sometimes, so it’s not a game over or worth taking it back, but considering it was on the top I feel like they could of caught it if they had looked at it? I was also a bit disappointment with the chicken. It was rubbery, and tasted like it was probably cooked before the rest and just mixed in at the last moment. It didn’t have much taste to it. The price was another downside. With tips and tax, my meal came out to close to 20, which is a bit more than I’m willing to spend just to get out of cooking for a night.

First time here. Very interesting décor. I am having the Ga Pow Basil Chicken. Medium hot with rice and steamed vegetables on the side. All in all it was good. Has a good variety of noodle dishes and some other non traditional dishes. I would come back.

This Thai restaurant never disappoints! We have come here often and the food is spot on every time! If you love Thai food like I do this place is definitely a winner.

I am always on the prowl for Thai food and D Thai knows how to offer up some delicious Thai dishes! My boyfriend and I work in the Bothell area, so every so often we have called in an order for fast lunch pick up and they have always been courteous and prompt with a time span of no longer then 20 minutes. The food is always really great and it has a family atmosphere. I felt comfortable enough were we ended up bringing our children for dinner. When I ask for no spice or up to 5 stars they always deliver on the amount. I usually get concerned about ordering spice for my own food because sometimes the server gets confused or messes the order up which renders our dishes inconsumable by my young children that cannot handle spiciness. The curry yellow rice is my favorite! I love this place, it’s a family haunt!

Mediocre Thai food and poor service. I’ve been there a couple times but never again. Last time they didn’t even get my order to the kitchen.

There are a couple of good Thai restaurants in Bothell. D-Thai is one of them. The owners seem to be there all the time and are super-nice people. Husband and wife team — one cooks while the other takes orders. The food is generally good. Not spectacular, but consistently good. Ample portions and always good, friendly service. The ambiance of this place is awesome. It’s like a dark, Irish pub that has gone Thai. Almost has to be seen to really appreciate. But inside, it just feels cozy and familiar. This is definitely the kind of place I would call a «neighborhood gem». I typically have their cashew chicken or chicken curry. I’ve been happy with both.

Not that good. I ordered Chicken Panang Curry, somewhat small portion, standard portion of rice. The curry was oily(visible small pools of oil forming on the plate) — I think this is due to the coconut milk being reduced a bit too far, but it also seemed like a lot of oil. If this were good quality coconut, palm or olive oil, sounds good, but as with most restaurants, I assume it’s the standard vegetable oil(soy/canola), thus not that appreciated. I ordered a spiciness of 5(maximum) and I think I might have felt a tickle a couple times — wasn’t very hot at all. The other major downside was the price. With a basic tip, this somewhat small portion of curry+rice cost $ 17. I’ve had more thai food, of better quality, for half that price(after tax and tip). Also.I was the only one in there(there was one take out order as I arrived). This is the closest Thai place to me, but even so I probably will not return.
