Great coffee quality. Strongly recommend its speciality drinks, Medici. And friendly barista! Drive through is a bit confusing tho.

I love the coffee at Ladro, and the location is good. I frequently meet people here for coffee, and will continue to. However, there are a few things that I think could improve about this place. As several other reviewers have said, the service is really slow. Even when I am the only person in line, it takes a long time for my drink to be made. Like at least five minutes. Other Ladro locations aren’t slow, and the coffee is just as good. Also, where to get in line is confusing. In most coffee shops, you order at the cash register and then exit where you get your drink. It’s the opposite here, and I’ve been barked at a couple times by baristas for doing it wrong. Oops. Last, a couple reviewers have said the place is a little seedy, and I agree.

My husband went the next day and told them about the mistake and they gave him a free coffee. I appreciate the acknowledgment of the mistake.

This place is really cute with a warm ambience and a great spot to study/read/whatever. Yes, the wifi is a little slow, but it works and it’s free so I don’t think it’s fair to knock a place down for that! Coffee is delicious and presentation is great, always get great latte art. The coffee is on the strong side so if you alter between black and with cream, go for the cream. But it’s tasty and flavorful. Their pastries and snacks are good too, try the ham and swiss croissant or one of their quiches! This place is on the slow side, not because the staff is lazy or inattentive but because they chat with customers. It doesn’t have the quick in-and-out feeling of a lot of Seattle places(or *coughstarbuckscough*) because the baristas are friendly and relational. Not a place to go if you’re in a hurry, but a great spot to meet up with a friend or to study over good coffee!

We love to go here and study. Great location and seating for a cozy study session with some warm coffee… Sometimes lattes don’t come out super hot so I suggest requesting extra hot when ordering! We love Café Ladro’s friendly baristas and welcoming atmosphere.

Consistently excellent coffee and friendly staff. They roast their own beans and you can always count on a flavorful cup. Best coffee in Bothell for sure.

They have great lattes! They have a drive through also but I usually go inside. Baristas are friendly and fast. I don’t get food here just the lattes

It’s such a bummer to have to give such a bad review, because I actually love Ladro’s coffee, but this location is terrible. We still stop here occasionally because they are close by and offer organic milk, but almost every experience is negative. At best, they’re slow. Even when the shop is empty, it takes 5 – 10 minutes to get your drink. The staff is rarely friendly, as if they’re doing us a favor. We avoid it these days, sadly!

Coffee is good but the wifi is terrible. It goes in and out and you are better connecting to mcmenamins or sone other nearby place instead. Cant get any work done here.

Come here regularly(weekly) to meet with friends since the place opened. It is a ‘cool’ addition to the Bothell area and while I don’t care for their house-blends of coffee, they’ve always got some good single-origin or other interesting blends to try. My friends always seem to like the pastries and breakfast sandwiches. The staff is usually good, especially Tim who remembers the name of everyone in my group. The place is really looking shabby though — a table I just set my laptop on wobbled so much I thought my coffee would dump. Lots of chipped paint, and wood trim, and on every chair I can see, the vinyl seat has split and is fraying. The restrooms have always been a little sketchy, but they finally fixed the ‘temperamental’ toilet that had a caution sign on it for over a year. Would love to see the place spruced up like the rest of Bothell.

Note that they have free, but ridiculously sluggish internet connection here. And I’m really sorry to say this, but Unilocal does want an honest and objective review. Their vanilla latte was plain awful — presentation of my coffee was great with the pretty latte art, but taste was just yucky… I took three sips and decided to call it quits. In terms of customer service, it was practically non existent. Felt like the employees there have a «just order and screw off» demeanor. Perhaps i caught them on a bad day, but one bad experience was enough for me. Maybe I’ll be back in a couple years to give it another try, that is if they’re still around.

Best mocha frappuchino you will ever have. Note that fraps are not on the menu, but they know how to make them and they beat Starbucks anyday. Plus their coffee actually tastes like coffee and not a thousand calories of sweetener. The bothell one has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with a nice atmosphere. Plus they open a wall up so the indoor outdoor is combined when the weather is nice. Definitely a favorite! Kirkland one has limited indoor seating but in a better area and has the same great quality. Bothell staff could be friendlier, but you know, it’s coffee.

Stopped in here again recently because I’m a victim of laziness. The girl working that evening was perfectly pleasant and made me a really delicious chilled latte.

You know what, I had been coming to this Coffee place for the last 8 years and I extremely surprised how their customer service has went down to tubes in the last 5 months. Example: Coffee is not made consistantly. Second, why in the hell do you have a drive through? The reason why I am asking is because I went to the drive-through this morning at 5:40a.m. ordered my coffee by speaker phone, than waited for about 10 minutes without anyone even showing up. GUYSAREYOUSERIOUS… VERYFRUSTRATED and I AMNOTCOMINGAGAIN.

The first time I visited Café Ladro was the best experience for me. The people here were so friendly and the coffee was just on point. Now every time I visit the Café, I feel like their coffee isn’t as great as I thought(STILLBETTERTHANSTARBUCKS). The latte has a lot of foam on the top which takes away from the great taste café ladro once had. I still am a fan of the coffee, but I feel like I need to see the right barista to make my coffee great. The coffee shop overall is great. It’s small but its a great place to study! Their are outlets located at every table so don’t worry about finding a good spot.

I cannot in good faith recommend them anymore due to a horrible experience at the drive-through. The TL, DR version is that that they got my order wrong and just made rude excuses about it. Or even better: This morning I am waiting in line — there are a number of cars ahead of me, they are busy, I understand that. They take my order at the speaker — a Medici and a chocolate croissant. I eventually get to the window — and the barista asks what coffee I ordered. I’m a bit confused — they should know what I ordered, but I tell the barista that I ordered a Medici. They claim they were just making sure… ok. Then someone else, a man, maybe the morning manager or something, asks if I ordered any food. At this point I’m a bit suspicious. Maybe they don’t know what I ordered? I say that I didn’t order any food, and then the man says he was just making sure. But — making sure of what? I *did* order food. He wasn’t making sure of anything at all. At this point I’m admittedly frustrated. I tell the man that I did order food, but not to bother now. The man then gets into an argument, trying to make excuses about how they have to commit the orders to *memory* because they aren’t supposed to write it down and 6 – 8 orders is a lot to keep track of, that the street noise is loud and they can’t hear the order at the speaker *even though they repeated it back to me*. He continues to make excuses — while the barista is behind him holding my coffee. I then point out that my coffee is ready and I’d kind of like to get it because I need to get to work. The barista hands my coffee to me, then the man comes back to the window and continues to make excuses, saying they have new staff(even though only one barista appeared to be working the drive-through), etc. Even when I tell him that I need to go, and I’m wondering if the high turnover is because of him. I ask if I walked into the café whether they’d get my order correct, and he said probably. Ok then. I’ve been to a number of the local drive-through stands, they’ve never gotten my coffee order wrong. Panera never has. Starbucks doesn’t have a drive-through, but they are packed in the morning and have never gotten my order wrong(maybe because they write the order on the cup instead of doing everything by memory.) But the kicker — and the reason they get one star — is he *never apologized*. (And also the Medici wasn’t very good. New barista, I don’t care, if I’m paying close to $ 5 for a cup of coffee it better damn well be excellent.) Will I ever be back? I think you can guess!

I have frequented this location for around 6 months now, visiting at least once(if not twice) a week. It has become a part of my routine — and, needles to say — I have enjoyed most of my visits to this Ladro location, and miss it when I do not come around as noted. Pros: — The location is convenient, off of Bothell-Everett Highway, right near WA-522 /Bothell Way NE. Perfect to stop in for when leaving Bothell towards both Woodinville or Seattle, etc. — It has lots of natural light and windows, giving it a very roomy feel. — It is usually not terribly busy, crowded, or noisy. — The coffee is good, and is agreeably priced. — The pastries are numerous, varied, and include savory options. — There is free WiFi. — There is a drive-through option. Cons: — Choices in pastry depend on the time of day, as well as traffic. Sometimes there are 10 plus options, but sometimes there are only three! — I find the restrooms always slightly messy or dirty, though never fully disgusting. I recommend cleaning them more often, or with more detail. — The arrangement of furniture /ambiance seems more like an after-thought in this location, therefore not creating a «hip artisan coffeeshop» vibe like, for example, its Capitol Hill location. But, for the Bothell clientele, perhaps this atmosphere is more accessible. — There is very limited designated parking. All and all however, thank you for existing here! I indeed look forward to my Ladro stops on my way back from working hard at my hobby!

The service is fast and generally very polite, the food is ok even late at night, and their coffee is tasty, contrary to their tea, but I’m not sure the clerks had the bag in there very long… 4⁄5 Hard not to go in and spend money when I’m nearby.

Best thing about this place is that they have butterhorns! We’ve been hunting all over trying to find them. They have delicious teas out on display so you can smell them before picking the flavor you want. The lattes are okay, not extremely flavorful. Good laid back vibe and a few big sized tables to bring a laptop and work.

I haven’t reviewed this Ladro yet? Ooops! I like this location because it’s pretty big(never had a hard time finding a seat) and frequently open later than the Bothell Library. The tasty coffee is a nice bonus! They also have baked goods and added pre-made(Molly’s?) sandwiches and salads about a year ago. I guess I usually visit on cold days because until this weekend I hadn’t realized they have an outside seating area. I really like being able to sit outside on a warm day! Sitting outside also led me to realizing they have a drive-thru(through?). I wonder if that’s new… there used to be another drive-thru coffee shop about a block away, but everything in that parking lot was demolished several months ago. I don’t visit often because I don’t spend much time in «downtown» Bothell, but I do like this location. Check it out if you’re ever in the area and need a place to read/work/study!
