Bothell Family Cooperative Preschool

My son and I started at the Bothell Family Co-​op Preschool last year when he was 10 months old, the first year they offered the infant class (now called Parent & Baby). At that age it is less of a «preschool» than a fun, enriching activity for you to do with your baby. They have an amazing outdoor space where my son loved to play with trucks, roll balls down the ball ramp, and go down the slide. The indoor space has lots of experiences including water table, art, blocks, dramatic play and lots of great toys that rotate in and out each month. At BFCP my son had his first time drinking out of a cup and eating sitting in a real chair at a table!
The parent ed component is kind of an educational support group, with new topics each week prepared by Teacher Jamie along with a lot of sharing of experiences and ideas. If your kid is comfortable playing on their own, you even get a break and a cup of coffee while other parents help keep an eye on the kids!
We’re really looking forward to being in the Toddlers class this year!

We attended this preschool for three years, with our daughter (now 11), when it was in Lake Forest Park. When we moved back into the area, I knew that I wanted the same experience for my youngest daughter as well! All of my expectations have been met and we are so happy to be «back» at the preschool. The new building is such an inviting and child friendly space with an AMAZING outside yard for the kids to run, climb, explore, and learn. Teacher Kathy is so great with the kids and they just love her!

Our oldest daughter went to this school when it was in Lake Forest Park, and we loved it so much that we decided to have our youngest daughter attend there despite the move… and we live in north Seattle. The school and curriculum are great, but what makes this school the best is the sense of community and the people that are involved. As a parent, you are closely involved with every aspect of how your child learns, and your involvement only enhances your child’s learning environment. My oldest daughter is now in full day kindergarten, and I firmly believe the socialization and organization this school provided has prepared her and us for elementary school. Our girls really love teacher Kathy and teacher Kelly, and look forward to going to school to see them. If you’re looking for a way to prepare your child for kindergarten, and also have an open mind to meeting new people in a fun, family environment, BFCP is the way to go!

I am on my fifth year at this school and absolutely love it. The teachers are great and the new space is amazing; much better than a basement school. Your voice is heard as a parent, and special considerations such as allergy worries or other concerns are heard and resolved. My oldest is in public school now and I firmly believe he is happy and adjusted because of his fabulous experience at this school. If you do a tour you will love it. Highly recommend

I enrolled my oldest son this year and it has been so great! I love that i’m able to learn along side of him. We discuss parenting techniques and sharing concerns with other parents. It’s a great group of parents and kids. Teacher Kathy is awesome! My son looks forward to school each day! I’m very excited to enroll my youngest next year as well! I feel more confident knowing my kids will be well prepared for elementary school. :)

Formerly Lake Forest Park Cooperative Preschool, this school is a great co-​op. We joined with my oldest daughter a year and a half ago after moving from out of state and it was the best decision we made. Not only did I find a great friendly, learning and play environment for my daughter, but I also found a great community of parents that have become great friends! I have enrolled my youngest for this coming school year and can’t wait to see her in their new school in Bothell.
