This place has great atmosphere and the coffee is delicious!

Cute café with a nice selection of baked goods and a great location. This is a good spot to unwind and relax after shopping or walking about in the area.

Honestly so overrated and overpriced. I love coffee and usually go for a flat white or a cortado when I first visit a shop to see how worth it the place is. I needed up getting a latte and the milk was under frothed(lukewarm) and had too many bubbles. The espresso was also questionably pulled it tasted very bitter to me. I am honestly better off with making coffee at home than buying at Thinking Cup

What 21st century coffee shop has no wifi?¿?! The vanilla ginger latte was still delightful, and I did enjoy the décor and ambiance. Very similar to the one on Tremont St– slightly below ground level, healthy chatter.

We got there around 8:30pm on a Wednesday and it was PACKED with people which to me meant trouble finding a seat but also a place to try out! Just when my brother and I had finished ordering were we lucky enough to spot two people leaving! Sweet, pretty place to go if you’re looking for a little less studying and a little more conversation. Staff was super friendly. TRY the blueberry muffins because they were so moist and flavorful. I wish I could’ve taken a picture of my espresso and muffin to convince you guys even more but I was too busy eating them haha. Just one itty bitty tip: if you’re ordering something cold, ask for less ice! Will I be returning you ask? Of course.

If you’re in Boston, this quaint little chain is worth a stop. A large variety of coffee options and great pastries. I was definitely drawn in by the unique charm and friendliness. Outdoor seating is available at their newbury street location.

This place taught me a lot about the good quality of coffee. I will never go back to any coffee chains. Espresso here is naturally sweet and it lacks bitterness that we all used to. Great sandwiches as well, I tried tuna salad sandwich that was impeccable I really enjoyed their patio, perfect spot for crowd watching. I hope it would be easier to find a seat here, but I guess popularity proofs of how good this place is. The best coffee shop in Boston!

This place was pretty busy when I came in, but the service was fast and good. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were limited seats inside, but there were more seating outside. I got the latte and a chicken Banh mi. The staff took the time to ask me how to correctly say my name. The latte was good and look great with the leaf design on it. The banh mi was okay because the bread was soft, but the chicken was lacking in flavor. Overall, I would recommend this place to everyone.

Came by the Thinking Cup on a sunny afternoon to enjoy a nice almond milk mocha. Found a spot on the window seat and sat and sipped my tasty mocha treat. It was perfectly sweet — not overwhelming and still had the delicious espresso taste. The Thinking Cup was pretty packed — the food looked tasty but I had already eaten. Can’t wait to come back and try some of their sandwiches and pastry items. Overall, good cup of mocha and nice atmosphere. Can’t speak to much else until next time.

This place can get real packed! We tried to come through on a rainy day, but the coffee shop was just filled to the brim. Instead, we planned ahead and decided to stop in the morning before I left Boston. We got in around 9am and this time around, we were able to snag a corner table on the main floor. The entrance is a bit of a tight space. You walk into the foyer where it splits with stairs going up or down. Just walk down a few steps and you’re IN. Once you’re inside, the space is pretty small. There’s tables to the left just under the window and to your right, a pastry window and then stairs to the main floor where you can order your beverage or food. The morning we arrived, it was snowing and chilly, so a cup of coffee sounded just right. I got a medium Hazelnut Latte and a lemon poppy scone. The hazelnut latte uses house-made hazelnut paste, so the flavor is much deeper and richer than your standard syrup. My friend got a latte and breakfast sandwich with an option for extra crispy bacon. Of course, the crispier the better! Pretty chill spot to hang out at, but not the best place to study at. I had difficulties connecting to Wi-Fi since I didn’t see any open ports, but maybe I didn’t try hard enough. Whatever, it’s still a rad place to stop into if you get the chance.

I love Thinking Cup, The atmosphere here is one of the real authentic coffees shop. Its nice to see people enjoying themselves and drinking coffee, instead of being glued to computer screens. They take very good care of they espresso drinks, my cappuccino was nicely balanced and barista created very nice art on top. I also tried chia seed pudding that was very delicious. will be back soon

Charming coffee shop once you push back the door and descend a small flight of stairs. I love the interior design of the space and the tables have old newspaper clippings and watches underneath the clear tabletop to give it that vintage feel. However, the lattes were a bit disappointing to me. I ordered the vanilla ginger latte and I didn’t taste any hint of ginger at all. My cousin got the honey cinnamon latte and I liked hers better since I could taste the sweet cinnamon flavor on the first sip. They have a trophy displayed out that says they won First Place in 2014 for a Latte Art contest but I was surprised that our lattes only had a simple leaf and heart designs. The baristas are friendly though and I was intrigued by their display case of the chia seed pudding. The sandwiches also looked really good and I wish I got one of those for the road. I will give an extra star just for the ambiance of the place and because it is a cozy little spot.

Oh so cute — descend a flight of stairs, wander by a glass display case featuring artfully prepared and arranged baked goods, and immerse yourself in a world of microfoamed milk, chia seed pudding, and eggy breakfast sandwiches. The baristas are friendly and helpful, and the coffee is fabulous. My only negatives are: that I didn’t order a breakfast sandwich, and $ 6 seemed a little steep for a smallish cup of(admittedly delicious) chia seed power pudding.

I enjoy the Thinking Cup because it’s in close proximity to my apartment — and they have a variety of goodies, treats and sandwiches. But, most times after stopping by, I lament the fact that I was too lazy to make the extra effort and head to Flour Bakery & Café up the street. I’ve had cake, macaroons, green tea lattes, coffee, and the breakfast sandwich from the Thinking Cup, and I’m never quite satisfied. The macaroons are good(better than LA Burdick but not as good as the ones they sell at Cameo Macaron), the sweets do hit the spot, and the breakfast sandwich is edible, but meh. The coffee always seems to be good, but then you take a few sips and are met with coffee grounds. At first I thought that this was just an honest slip up, but it happens EVERY time I get coffee here(when will I learn?!). Maybe that makes it more authentic, and maybe I’m just a snob(I totally am). Of course I’ll go back to Thinking Cup(because I’m pretty lazy), but YOU should definitely just walk up to Flour or Pavement because they are way better.

After dinner in Back Bay, I stopped into Thinking Cup, a decent sized coffeehouse on Newbury Street in Back Bay. The menu is written on wood framed chalkboard. The menu consists of hot and cold beverages, grilled cheese, and sandwiches. In addition to the menu items, they sell pastries, baked goods, chia power pudding, and bottled beverages(e.g., sodas). It’s a neat place to study and/or work. The café is decorated with musical instruments(e.g., saxophone, trumpet, and violin) and vintage table with newspaper prints below the glass. I ordered a White Chocolate Matcha Cake and a Chai Latte. The White Chocolate Matcha Cake is best described as a marbled pound cake consisting of swirls of citrus infused white chocolate cake and matcha cake. I liked how the top of the chai latte was foamy and frothy. I got a tiramisu, fruit tart, and pistachio macarons to go to enjoy for the rest of the week.

Espresso drinks are average but definitely one of the better places in Boston, and the food is good here. I’ve gotten different sandwiches here and liked them. It’s always quite busy though, and the drinks came out really slowly every time I went. They also messed up a few people’s orders one time while I was there(people grabbing other people’s orders, wrong things on the sandwich, etc etc), so perhaps it’s not the place to go if you are in a hurry. But it is a nice café right on Newbury Street, and a place to chill at when you are sick of all those fancy shops.

This is the go-to coffee spot in this neighborhood. It ticks off most of the checklist for the ideal coffee shop: handcrafted espresso amazing coffee & espresso-based drinks delicious pastries good meal food reasonable price cute hipster vibe not completely out of the way great service The only con about checking off all these great things about this place is that it attracts huge crowds. It can be chaos during peak hours, and impossible to find a seat. So if you’re looking for a relaxed, quiet meal or coffee break, this may not be the place for you.

This place has a couple locations in downtown boston, but it’s still one of my favourite coffee shops in Boston! They roast stumptown coffee here which is definitely why I appreciate it because their blends tend not to be bitter. Their sandwiches and pastries are also bomb! I’ve tried all the sandwiches on the menu and I can’t say that there is a bad one. I unfortunately have not gotten the chance to have all their pastries, but I really like their german chocolate cake! They also have pretty fancy/good tea! Thinking Cup is a really great place to come… unless you actually want to sit down and enjoy your coffee/food. This place(really all the locations) are always packed! People are seat hovering all the time, and unless you are ready to pounce at any moment, you probably wont get a seat. I’ve even come here in the middle of the work day, and it’s been hard to get a seat. Other than that though, I definitely reccomend this place!

Charming coffee shop on Newbury with beautiful pastries, Stumptown coffee and handcrafted espresso drinks. The large wraparound pastry counter showcasing croissants, brioches, cakes, sweet breads and macaron is a sight to see. Great place to take a break from shopping on Newbury. Ample seating, friendly staff. Gets packed and no WiFi so not the best coffee shop for those looking to work/study.

My colleague and I came here in the early evening and it was packed. We lucked out and found a place to sit and enjoyed the people watching. Hahahah… It’s noisy, but we couldn’t help but overheard what seemed like a business place to converse, it turned out the time we went, most were blind dates meeting for the first time! Maybe«Tinder» dates? Hahahah… Makes quite an interesting conversation for dinner after the experience here«fo» sure! LMAO: p Oh and also who knew Thinking Cup had a ton of pastries? I nearly missed it as it was right smack at the entrance! I did managed to have their last pumpkin cheesecake and it was fantastic along with my cappuccino. Thinking Cup has got to be one of my favorite café here in Boston. I went to several during my business trip here, and by far, this is the best with great service and coffee to boot! Until then, Cheers! ~ :p
