Getting worst! This used to be my spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner but lately the service, quality and potions of the food are simply unacceptable. They definitely trimmed down the portions and have all new chefs that mess up everyone’s order EVERY time. Very sad that that such a good place went down the hill so fast. Where are the managers? I’m more than happy to pay a premium price for premium food and service but unfortunately you won’t get the premium food and service here at Paramount Southie

Amazing brunch spot. We were greeter at the door by one of the workers who explained to us that you actually stand in lind, order, pay and then are directed to a seat. The line was long but not outrageous. I was surprised to see how fast the line moved. We ordered the cinnamon swirl French toast and the banana caramel French toast. Let me tell you that it was the best breakfast I’ve ever had! Great food. Great crowd. Great place

Great food, be explicit over the phone if making an order to pick up because they mess them up routinely.

The Paramount is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast when I’m in town. They make a mean lunch as well. The layout could be better, as the means to place an order is up at the counter and it can get quite congested at busier times of the day. Not a huge amount of tables in which to eat, but we’ve always managed to snag one at the right time. The food is on the pricier side, but delicious. I guess that’s all that matters.

This is my first Unilocal review and I have used Unilocal for more years than I can remember. I was really impressed by how accommodating they were with my baby helping us obtain a prime seat and letting us linger for a pleasant brunch when they were busy. I also have crazy allergies no dairy, no soy and no nuts and they were great in finding alternatives like fruit when I could not have their home fries.

The Paramount is one of the most popular brunch spots in Boston, and it certainly lived up to its name this morning. The location in South Boston is not as popular as the one in Beacon Hill, although I found absolutely no differences in the quality of food or service. I ordered the Belgian Waffle with fresh fruit, while my boyfriend ordered the Paramount Burger with sweet potato fries and coleslaw. The waffle was one of the best I’ve ever had, with a really delicious batter and a really good variety of fresh fruit loaded on top. The burger was also fantastic, and so big that it barely fit in my mouth! Overall, what really stood out to me was the freshness and quality of the ingredients. I will definitly be back to try the Caramel Banana French Toast!

I used to love the Paramount, I hadn’t been in a few months and was very disappointed. They have since skimped on portions(used to always leave completely stuffed) I think I had 4 pieces of hash browns, the omelette was mediocre, and there was one piece of toast… Not to mention we just about finished our meal by the time a person in our party had just been served(they gave his omelette to somebody else). They get 3 stars for the fact that you get a fairly decent breakfast, but having been going there in the past they have certainly slipped, and trimmed the portions. I doubt I’ll be going back anytime soon.

I think the best was I can describe Paramount is hit and miss. I’ve had some amazing breakfast/brunch, some lovely chicken salads for lunch and then some absolutely terrible meals at night. If they can get their food more consistent, focus on quality then I think this place deserves more attention. With the new restaurants entering south Boston, they need to raise the bar.

Delicious fresh breakfast, love that they have beer on tap too. I had the asparagus and cheddar Omelet. Mom had grilled cheese and Dad had bbq pork. We were all very satisfied

Really great place to grab breakfast if ever around the area. The food is amazing, and they provide great service. I’ve been there a couple of times, my advice would be to go a little after 11 to avoid the long lines that are almost always present in the morning.

The sign out front said«welcome new Southie residents» but it certainly didn’t feel that way. Don’t come here if you want to have a relaxing weekend brunch. If you’re in a hurry or just want a quick bite to eat it’s probably great — I got the egg and cheese sandwich and it was good. The side of potatoes wasn’t very good so I was slowly picking at them and enjoying my weekend. The busboy came up and said«looks like you’re all set.» And took my dishes before I could tell him otherwise. I noticed they were busy so I started to look for my next destination on my phone. Then a guy walked up to my table and condescendingly said, «Ma’am are you waiting for someone?» I asked if he was asking me to leave. He just said«yes, thank you,» and turned around. I’m new to the area so I eat alone a lot. I would have chosen a table with less than four seats, but there wasn’t that option in the restaurant. I understand more people in means more money. They could have been nicer about it. I eat brunch a lot(it’s one of my favorite things) and they’re right down the street, but I’ll never come back again. I know my $ 15 a weekend probably doesn’t matter to them at all, and they’ll have more table space as a result.

Great brunch place, flew into town in early in the morning after taking the T shuttle into town this place is a nice walk away. Ordered and egg sandwich and fruit parfait but the real winner was the cajun home fries. The seasoning which I find a bit much in some foods was perfect and they were cooked perfectly! Overall I highly recommend this place if you are in town and have some time. Service was also great from the moment we walked in!

I wasn’t impressed with the food or prices here. I was floored that we paid $ 35 for two burgers and a milkshake. I was really unimpressed with paying that, given that you order by walking up to a counter and that the burgers tasted really greasy to us both. It was also supposed to be their signature burger(The Paramount), but I thought the flavors were really lacking. We also ordered two waters with our meal, and we had to ask twice for them and then didn’t get a refill until we were ready to go(they were ridiculously small glasses!). The atmosphere was also lacking, but that very well could have been due to the fact that we stopped in on a weekday a little before 5pm. Overall, not worth the money and you can definitely find a higher quality meal elsewhere.

The Paramount is a trendy, upscale diner with extremely accommodating workers. We got a Paramount Burger, Fried Calamari, and the Rice/Chick Pea/CheeseBall(forgot the name). The food did not particularly stand out to me, but the waitress knew we were splitting it between two people and cut the burger in half and gave us two separate plates with the half burgers, fries, and toppings. I would like to commend her for doing this! The burger and rice balls were average, however the calamari was delicious! That is my one recommendation here! :) RECOMMENDATION: ** Fried Calamari

By far my favorite place in Southie for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Everything is freshly made and it has a mix of American and Latin American cuisine making the best breakfast you’ll ever have. Their customer service is on point — I am huge on great customer service. I’m definitely there every weekend, it’s my go to place when wanting to eat out. I recommend trying it all! I have not tried one thing that I didn’t like.

Can’t really complain the fairly quick and substantial breakfast/brunch/lunch at here. You never really imagine that by the time you order and get your food there will be a table waiting, but it works out every time. Kudos to the industrial engineers behind this. I came between 12 – 12:30 on a Sunday and had to wait about 15 minutes on line before ordering but it was fine because it took me that long to decide what I wanted to eat anyway. I ended up going with the Paramount Burger, wheat bun, no cheese plus avocado. It was so messy but I loved every minute of it. The sweet potato fries were also crispy and delicious. If I lived in the area, this would be my weekend go-to.

I’ve now eaten several brunches and dinners at paramount. The ordering and seating scheme makes the most of the small space and works out better than I initially though it would. For brunch, order at the counter and sit only after paying. My dining companions have been consistently pleased with omelettes, huevos rancheros, other egg dishes, bacon and the generous portions of pancakes. Coffee is decent and there is a good selection of teas. Servers bring your order out to the table only within 10 minutes. For dinner there is a table service. For lunch/dinner, the sweet potato/bean tacos are to die for! The service staff and cashiers are friendly and quick. They keep the tables turned over so there and generally no waiting for table to be cleaned. Sometimes on weekend mornings the line wraps all the way to the back of the restaurant but it moves fairly quickly.

Paramount offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner with all three being a slightly difference experience. Breakfast is served«cafeteria-style» with you placing your order at the counter and sitting down once your meal is ready. It can be kind of hectic to find a table during peak hours on a weekend but most people eat fairly quickly so never a real problem. Omelettes, home fries, French toast — classic breakfast fare are all solid. For dinner, Paramount is transformed to a normal restaurant where you are seated at a table(with intimate tea candle lighting mind you!) where a server takes your order(you’re telling me I don’t order my steak tips from the counter?!?). Aside from the tips, I have had their pulled pork and other sandwiches which have all been really good. Their dinner food might be slightly better then breakfast in my opinion. Paramount also has a full beer/wine selection which is a plus. Overall, if you’re in the area looking for some solid American food but looking to stay away from the local pizza places, give Paramount a try.

If you don’t like this place you are terrorist and your activities should be monitored until we catch you I mean until someone catches you I mean what’s that over there ahem run run run okay whew we got away from that terrorist that doesn’t like The Paramount. I don’t live in Boston so maybe I am wrong on this part, but I think they have good prices for their food. They have good food for their food, too. All around, this is my go-to place for breakfast at breakfast time or breakfast at lunch time when I am in the area. I think I’ve been here maybe five or six times. Loved it every single time. Can’t wait to go back again. It’s simple. You order and you watch them cook it. They give it to you. You eat it. You rejoice. Here are some tips: Park at Stop N Shop, but don’t tell them that I said you could. If you want OJ, order the large. It is like twice the size of the small but for $ 0.50 more. On the same note, get three eggs instead of two. It’s a difference between $ 6 and $ 7. That’s a decent price for an extra egg. Go for it. The gluten-free chocolate chip pancakes will make you remember what it’s like to eat pancakes and why they are actually an amazing invention. Don’t try to reserve a table. Act like you’ve been there before and just head straight to the back of the line.
