Today, I went to The Grille in Spangler for lunch. They were serving a Mexican themed cuisine with vegetarian enchilada, fried plantains, refined beans, and rice. I liked the vegetarian enchilada, which consisted of flour tortilla stuffed with mexican cheese, corn, red pepper, and poblano pepper. It was rich, creamy, and tasty. They also had an Eggplant Parmesan Pizza, which consisted of tomato sauce based pizza with cheese, lightly breaded eggplant, diced tomatoes, and arugula. The pizza was thick and served lukewarm despite warming it in the brick oven.

Great sushi(if the sushi bar is open during lunch — not the premade stuff they have in the cooler), good pizza, «meh» everything else. As a student at Harvard Business School, we eat here almost everyday. Aside from their pizza and sushi, they have a burger grill, some soups, and a rotating hot buffet. The hot buffets are usually some odd entrees that can be a real hit or a miss. Note for vegetarians: their hot buffets are usually completely vegetarian during lunch hours. Bottom line: if you’re here during lunch on the weekday, go for their made to order sushi. Else, if the dining hall(right upstairs from the Grille) is open, I would recommend eating there instead(they usually have many more options including better entrees and an awesome salad bar). Also, they do not accept credit cards!

It does the job for a school cafeteria but I never look forward to eating here. It always has a few stations including pizza, burgers, and soup and then a rotating hot buffet. While the buffet is pretty good, it sometimes has the most random things so you need to be fairly adventurous. For example, today I had some sweet potato quinoa chili with brussel sprouts. With that said, I must say that the staff is extremely friendly and helpful! I really appreciate their great overall service!

Only thing worth the cost is the dinner sides.

The Grille is the kind of friend that is there to support you when no one else will. When your friend Spangler has long since gone to bed and won’t answer his phone, the Grille is attentive and ready to cook up that chicken breast, salmon fillet or veggie burger when you most need it. Lucie is the friendly lady serving pizza and working the bar. She remembers what I order and how I like it prepared and makes visiting the Grille similar to Mr. Roger’s neighborhood. The food can get repetitive at times, but the price is right and this place stays open late for an on campus establishment. The daily vegetarian buffet offering cuisines from around the world is a nice bonus. I’m a fan!

Great to grab some food on the go– there’s pizza, soups, salad bar and the burger/grille. Also, the quesadillas/tacos rule here!

The Grille is THE on-campus hot spot — not quite the equivalent of the Max from Saved By the Bell, but not too far away. During the day, you’ll find students grabbing sandwiches, pizza, burgers, salads, soup and burritos(with the best burrito chef in Boston!), then sitting down to talk catch up with friends about the latest gossip of the day. In the evening, the drinks often turn from soda to beer, as the students blow off some steam, watch the games on the big screens, and occasionally try and get some work done.
