I love this place. The line moves quickly, the eggs & bacon are always cooked perfectly and the coffee is surprisingly great. Everyone is friendly and the lovely lady at the counter always remembers everyone’s orders. Definitely a great place to swing by on your morning commute.

Their salad dressing is out of control. Their portions are good and it’s still a value. The staff is like the staff of the soup nazi on the television program Seinfeld, but who are we kidding, that’s part of the charm. breakfast is awesome too — the bacon wrap is pleasing to the taste buds, but you better set up an angioplasty to clean out the arteries.

Food is good, it’s cheap and they are quick in serving. I’ve only been for breakfast a couple of times and mainly when I go for lunch I get the same thing each time. With that said, I recommend the kabob’s with rice and salad. It’s a simple dish. I usually go chicken kabob with rice as stated and a salad with italian dressing. I also had the pastrami sandwich once which I also thought was good.

Susan’s, of course, is one of the places on our lunch rotation during work. They are always consistent, super fast, and the«rudeness» is part of the experience. We don’t usually venture away from the usual sandwiches or salad stuffers — pita with salad and a topping like chicken, steak, falafel, etc. But everything else always looks really good. I definitely recommend it!

Your first time should be with someone who’s been before. I stick to three items on the menu: Chicken Kebab Plate, Buffalo Chicken Plate, Meatloaf Plate(when I’m feeling a little gluttonous). Everything is very fresh and for about $ 8.50 a plate, you get a lot of food. The staff is friendly to customers, especially regulars. If you get the Buffalo Chicken plate, ask for the bleu cheese. On point.

This place has the rudest employees(or owners)(that’s how they acted). I’m from San Diego and we are not used to people who are sucky(not a word, but I can’t use the world that I really want). It must be a Bostonian thing. I was asking questions about menu, the guy looks at me like i was wasting his time. Wow… Needless to say, I walked out.

I’ve been in a few times, both for breakfast and lunch. I have had similar, unpleasant experiences with the staff during most of my visits, yet I kept returning, hoping to change my mind because the location is so close to my office. Today will be the last time I ever visit. This morning, I stopped in for a breakfast sandwich. I ordered the sandwich from one lady. Waited for said sandwich. Went to pay for sandwich. A second lady comes to the counter and asks what I would like to order. I told second lady that I already ordered. Her response, rudely: «So you don’t want to tell me what you’re having?» I apologized and said I thought she was taking my order. I told her what I ordered and proceeded to pay the first lady, who took my order. The second lady, who I just told what my order was, now with my sandwich in hand, comes over and asks if this was my order… yes, lady, I just told you what my order was. Overall, the transaction was unnecessarily uncomfortable. I finished paying, had to specifically request a receipt, and ran out of there. Looked at my receipt and realized they overcharged me for my sandwich. The food might be better quality than other options in the area, but I’d rather have better service and be charged the correct price than deal with the rude people who work here.

Stopped in here for a breakfast sandwich. Got a sausage, egg and cheese on english muffin. It was busy at 8am but my sandwich was done in just a couple of minutes. I also got a large iced coffee which I felt was too small to be a large but that is my only complaint. I will be back next time I’m in the area.

This place has quick service, very quick. If you are in a serious rush, this is the place to go. They don’t fool around. The stuffed pita with chicken kabob, is very very good. The salad dressing is the best part, its awesome. I wish they would bottle it and sell it! Portions are huge. I couldn’t even finish all of the chicken.

This place has excellent, quick service & fresh, delicious food. Their chicken kabob plate with rice & salad with feta is pretty much my favorite lunch. Something about their dressing makes me want to eat the salad first, which almost never happens! The people who work here definitely deserve some props, too, as they really have an excellent system of getting things done quickly & efficiently with a great attitude. They definitely deserve the tips I am always sure to leave them!

I just come here for convenience. The service is sub par(rude) unless you are on a first name basis with the woman who takes the orders. The food is okay and beats SS options. It’s the only place to get real breakfast on the go in the area.

The food was prepared outstandingly fast – much faster than what you’d get at Panera or other similar establishments. The staff was very courteous and sweet(especially remarkable given how many customers they have – just during those 5 minutes I’ve been there, 6 more customers were served.) The food, however, was not particularly exciting. I got a chicken caesar wrap – the vegetable part of the wrap was lacking and the emphasis was on the chicken. It was one huge(admittedly, well-cooked) slab of chicken. Certainly edible, but could have been more nutritious with more vegetables.

Sandwiches are very tasty, but stay away from the Middle Eastern food. The falafel I had here was completely inedible. They should really just stick with sandwiches. Note that they do NOT accept Discover. Also, it can get very cold in here during the winter(probably due to so many people popping in and out). I’d recommend taking your food to go in the winter months.

I’ve come here for lunch a few times, and the best I can say is «Meh.» I’ve tried their wraps and kabob plates, and they really leave a lot to be desired. While some people rave about them, I can’t see why. While it’s refreshing to see a place try to stick to a core couple of menu items, I just wish they were better menu items. If you really want a kabob plate, I’d suggest hitting Falafel King or the Chicken n Rice food truck if they’re around.

The people who work at this restaurant are robots. Robots with awesome food! First rule of robots is that you gotta stick to the commands that they understand. That means that there are some no-no’s: ordering stuff that’s not on the menu /weird(any) substitutions /not following the café line procedure. If you avoid those pitfalls, you should be fine. Also, don’t worry about the steady, almost-angry expressions that the employees have. It’s not their fault they were made that way! If you can get that out of your system, you will not be beaten for stepping out of line. The woman at the register is a freaking beast. She can run your card with one hand and change your friend’s twenty with the other. She doesn’t waste breath with anything other than one monotone thank-you per person. She has been working there every single time I’ve been there(at least 12 times). This is actually impressive to watch — makes you wonder why they can’t clone her at other places. I don’t know if this is Susan, but if it is — Sue, I’m a huge fan of what you do! Like any modern streamlined industrial machine, you can get in and out of this place in record time even with 20 people in line. Try it for yourself. This is hands down the most efficient food-serving establishment that I have ever seen. McDonald’s should hire Susan as an outside consultant. If big Sue cracked into the ergonomics /process engineering market, the Leather District could put all of China out of business. More words to the wise on the food here. I would stick with the Greek-style stuff… Kebabs, Pita Stuffers, Dinner Plates, etc. — these are some hearty, fresh menu items. You can get a little creative on how you want to go about eating, but the food is a notch up from a lot of the other cuisine in the area. Honest disclaimer — I have not tried breakfast… me n Sue are sticking with lunch dates for now!

I work down the street and go here almost every day for lunch. Their sandwiches are monstrous and delicious. My favorite is The Pilgrim — turkey breast, coleslaw, thousand island dressing, tomatoes and onions. The jewel in the crown is the chicken kabob, rice and salad plate. I try to make lunch my main meal of the day and this definitely does the trick. Plus, it’s yummy. The downside is that the chicken is dry. As for the service — yeah, these people are not the friendliest staff in the world. Know your order before you dare approach the counter. If you know what you want then it’s easy peasy and you’ll end up with a great lunch that’s way better than anything you could make at home.

If you find yourself staring at the majesty of South Station’s clock face, only to discover the frown created at 7:18am reminds you of your impending hunger and the one way to sate that savage beast is with an egg sandwich from the end of a cafeteria-style, counter service diner… well friend, Susan’s Deli Of Course. It’s just under $ 3 and the eggs come from cracked shells. Gourmet? Nay nay, but it beats mass-produced McMuffs and Dunk’s egg white veggie corner bread with cheese glue.

Blown away. I was starving this morning, and I wanted real food, not cereal or oatmeal. Initially I was tempted to run down to Dunkies for a breakfast sandwich… but that’s not exactly«real» food. I walk past Susan’s all the time on my way from South Station to work, so I decided to run over there and check it out. Boy was I in for a surprise! First off, I was impressed that they offer most all of the typical breakfast foods, not just sandwiches. French toast, pancakes, omelets, etc. Second, I was impressed by the prices! $ 5.00 for a bacon and cheese omelet with home fries and toast. Whoa, I wanted that! Third, I was impressed by the friendly and prompt service. Fourth, and most importantly, I was impressed by the quality of the ingredients. You can see the cooking area — dozens of fresh eggs ready to be cracked, bacon sizzling, home fries roasting, and real cheese in blocks. This is NOT diner or Dunkies quality, it’s actual food. It tastes homemade. I will absolutely positively be back here. There are so many things I want to try!
